It doesn’t do it for me – he looks a little apologetic and slumped, which seems at variance with the clothes. I have to say, though, those boots are fantabulous.
The clothes and accessories are very nice, and yet, somehow, the whole thing doesn’t seem to work on him, as if he were trying too hard…
Dunno. Can’t really put my finger on it.
That’s exactly what bothers me about this outfit. Why do some guys at Pitti feel the need to dress like its the 1800′s? There are outfits and there are costumes, and this is the latter. I really like the oversized pocket flaps though!
As a former ballet dancer (well, not professionally, but I was serious about it) … I disagree! Yoga’s great but I find not being able to turn out unbearable….. lol!
Ha! I value wide turnout, too. Who could do Padmasana (Lotus pose) otherwise! I am not discounting the necessity for full range of motion.
But if ever you take up running (or yoga), point your feet forward and roll your thighs inward. Of course, as a serious dancer, you can probably do so. But many people cannot counter their tendencies, even temporarily.
Yes, this fellow is unmistakable. That’s the sign of a sartorialist, no?
If this entire ensemble was worn by an Italian man, there would be a mild cloud of perfume following in his wake. Pino Silvestre, for example. I wonder if this man is wearing cologne, And if so, what it would be. Great photo!
I dislike everything below the waist: the high boots and jodhpurs. In no way is this gentleman going riding and I do not see the use of these as ‘fashion’ or ”style’. It’s just ridiculous.
The coat is fabulous. I like how the green lines pop out against the caramel, the large cuffs, and the double pocket on one side. The shape is great too- when heavy coats in that length and colour are tailored it can look too 1970′s.
The rest of the outfit with all the leather accessories is very masculine.
The more I think about it the more i love it. Thanks for uploading it! I’m now inspired to think about how I can incorporate some of this gentlemen’s look into my wardrobe.
i was just wondering why you have not showed men in riding boots earlier. in our small european town (basel), guys are happily walking around in riding boot – even in a skinnier version – slim fitted trousers and so the boots (black!).

Yes I agree, he is indeed a cool looking guy. He is the same man pictured earlier last year in a blue vignette.
Is he your friend ?
This is a genuine question.
Thank you in advance

This is a very rare coat style. Even Burberry’s do not produce this kind of item anymore. Thus I suspect it is bespoke.

Very dapper. Thumbs up. I love a good coat.
But, as a yoga practitioner, I must critique his outwardly turned feet. That stance, if habitual, will not serve him well in the long run.
