For a brief moment, I thought it was a man.
Very cool either way.

Same here! And I actually like the mix, but I wouldn’t wear those pants.

I thought it was a man! It’s a great combination of textures either way. Love the addition of the smooth, soft shoes.
January 8, 2013 at 11:38 pm
i thought that was a man too!
January 9, 2013 at 7:04 am
Hah, me three. I thought it was a man as well.
January 8, 2013 at 8:17 pm
It looks better when you thinks it is a man :)

Oh! Wonderful coat – I wore a similar one toady with a Drakes paisley scarf – it made me love January.
January 8, 2013 at 8:30 pm
YES but it would be worn by a man with a certain confidence!

Nice find!! It’s quite an interesting mix and I have to admit.. At first I even thought this was a man.
Beautiful mix of texture! Love it.
January 8, 2013 at 8:40 pm
fantastic denim pieces!
January 8, 2013 at 8:42 pm
I would never have thought mixing it up like this would actually look good – but it does. I think it would suit a man – but he has to have the right look.
January 8, 2013 at 8:46 pm
agreed – although I think it would look even more insatiable on the right man; I love a bold sartorial male choice.

It’s Diemme Footwear!
January 8, 2013 at 9:13 pm
I thought it was a guy too! Something about the shoes and the slouchy fit of the pants.
January 8, 2013 at 9:26 pm
This is the best mix, photo yet. # 1
January 8, 2013 at 9:28 pm
It really looks good.
January 8, 2013 at 9:39 pm
This ensemble is amazing!! Sequins and tweed are fab!!!!! Unexpected – classy and club works together.
January 8, 2013 at 9:46 pm
Too much blue. The coat is nice though. And I thought that was already a man.

Why not?…Love the contrast!

January 8, 2013 at 10:28 pm
I love the fabric of the coat
January 8, 2013 at 11:07 pm
I guess ‘feelin’ blue’ never looked so good! The sequins and tweed match is, for this example, slightly garish. For this to work well on a guy, the sequins should be toned down just a touch. Swap the wedge boots for a (preferably) navy double strap monk, rinse and repeat.
January 8, 2013 at 11:14 pm
i though it was bryanboy!
January 8, 2013 at 11:22 pm
It’s a very cool look. But maybe uncomfortable to sit in? JCrew matched your suggestion with a 2 in 1! http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/skirts/pencil/PRDOVR~30803/30803.jsp
January 8, 2013 at 11:42 pm
thought it was a man and like it better–just like pink–better on a man.
January 8, 2013 at 11:47 pm
Absolutely LOVE the shoes!
January 9, 2013 at 1:04 pm
It’s Diemme for AW13.

Always love a monochromatic look with varying textures. So interesting!
January 9, 2013 at 12:02 am
Love everything but the shoes. The colors are devine!

I love this… And yes it would be fabulous on a man too. I’m really loving your take on menswear lately Scott, thank you for your open mind!
January 9, 2013 at 12:38 am

The different pattern combination is genious. And the blue shades are a perfect amalgamation. Smitten with this…
January 9, 2013 at 1:47 am
Amazing mix! If you hadn’t say anything, I couldn’t have told if it was a man or woman!
January 9, 2013 at 2:08 am
I actually thought it’s a boy on the pic…seems more boyish even there are sequins and stuff.Good job!
January 9, 2013 at 2:54 am
Great coat! almu
January 9, 2013 at 2:55 am
I love contrasting textures or ideas in an outfit. I think tweed and sequins could be the new cashmere and leather.
And yes, I would love to see a man in this outfit, not enough men embrace sparkle.

WOWOW!!!I WOULD TOTALLY STRIP HIM AND WEAR ALL THAT HE IS WEARING-BUT THE SHOES..!!!:))
January 9, 2013 at 3:10 am
Loving the coat, not the pants so much…
January 9, 2013 at 3:20 am
Definitely not flame-retardant, that’s for sure! Maybe a new twist on a tuxedo or evening wear, but not terribly practical to wear during the day–a real stretch.
January 9, 2013 at 3:23 am
That sequin pants looks great. Very nice.
January 9, 2013 at 3:38 am
We like the texture of that coat!

January 9, 2013 at 6:31 am
Yes for sequins in a day look but not with that shoes and not on a man to me.
January 9, 2013 at 6:44 am
Love this detail sot and the two materials combined but I think that when one of my male friends arrives in sequins I would laugh. Maybe also because most of them are constructors :D But a small detail like a sequin bowtie would be pretty cool though…
January 9, 2013 at 7:01 am
Love the pants xx
January 9, 2013 at 7:55 am
I love people that take fashion risks! Love the blue hues! And although i dont like sequins … with this look they are fab!
January 9, 2013 at 8:30 am
The coat looks amazing, great texture!
January 9, 2013 at 8:53 am
I supposed it was a woman… but it would be cool even on a man!
January 9, 2013 at 9:04 am
Brilliant! The sequined pants, especially in that great colour, are both subtle and amazing and the juxtaposition with the tweed is stunning. Love it. Pinching the idea if I can find a similar pair of pants.
January 9, 2013 at 9:06 am
Beautiful tweed coat.
January 9, 2013 at 9:46 am
Oops!! I already thought that was a MAN!!
January 9, 2013 at 10:08 am
I love tweed, not so much sequins…but this looks good because I think the colours were kept neutral.
January 9, 2013 at 10:42 am
Mais que c’est BEAU !!
January 9, 2013 at 12:50 pm
Fabulous texture and herringbone pattern. I´ll be looking for an overcoat soon :)
January 9, 2013 at 1:01 pm
I think you’re right, it could be cool on a man, even if i don’t like the shoes. I would say way cooler on the right man. When it comes to male fashion, it’s often about the right man, in my opinion.
Nic from Thriving Wives
I also thought it could’ve been a man. Love the texture mixing!

I thought this was a man! Everything about this from the shoes to the cut of the pant to the way the model is standing reads man, menswear, masculine. Funny.
January 9, 2013 at 5:15 pm
This could be an outfit Garance would wear……
January 9, 2013 at 6:49 pm
love the textures and the color!
January 9, 2013 at 7:05 pm
Gorgeous. Its like denim with no denim, somehow. I love the depth of the blue grey here.
January 9, 2013 at 8:03 pm
I thought she was a man… It isn’t uncommon to see men in Japan dressed like this.
January 10, 2013 at 9:53 am
Seeing how this isn’t taken in Japan, and its a picture of a woman, I don’t understand how that relates?

What a nice coat! Like the color and the textures.
January 10, 2013 at 9:24 am
I’ve always loved sequins during the day.
January 10, 2013 at 6:50 pm
Hm… not sure if it is exactly something I can comfortably look at, but it is interesting to consider!
January 11, 2013 at 3:40 am
Ok, I’m totally navy-biased, so it ain’t saying much if I say this is like sooooo awesome!!!!
January 11, 2013 at 6:41 pm
An extremely balls-ey man would look amazing in this texture mix, and an average man could store it away until next New Years!
January 17, 2013 at 6:41 am
At first, I thought it was a man. And I thought he looked really cool!!
January 19, 2013 at 10:58 am
