Such a dapper gent! Put together, yet comfortable, and I love the blue colour palette. Also like the composition of the photo- the buildings in the background are beautiful :)

Blue on blue on blue – always perfect. Love this.

I agree- that tonal blue looks gorgeous.
I also really like the proportions- the slim jeans & the coat which is exactly the right length.

Dear Mr. Sartorialist,

An outstanding image!
How to be an elegant and well-dressed middle-aged man encapsulated in a photo.
Simple colours, design and good fit do the job.

Love Love Love, Pitti Uomo!
I love how different shades of blue and brown suede shoes are working together, how the outfit is casual and smart at the same time. Great style within renaissance palazzo background.

Great coat? More of the other way around. This man makes aging look alluring. Too. much. blue. even the sunglasses and white shirt give off a blue tint.

January 7, 2013 at 5:32 pm
Beautiful photo and man!
I especially love how you’ve captured so softly the ‘ghostly’ light of the street chandleiers against so much stone and the many patinated hard angles of the streets and buildings. Exquisite! Enrico is a vision of elegant casual style, confidence…..and handsome!
I too can’t wait for Pitti. I wonder, any chance the Smarties of Soweto will be be in attendance this Pitti FW…and meet their idols Lino,Lucca…and visit Al Bazaar., hang out on the real Pitti wall..and most importantly attend the Sartorialist Luncheon? They and their wonderful inventiveness, style ….and dreams are never far from my mind ALL because of your moving photos and tributes and stories of their sartorial dedication and feats…against great odds. You’ve shown and touched us all, with their moving example of how ART can change and widen worlds.
I just watched the PBS “Under African Skies”…about Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland” and the journey he took with the great Ladysmith Black Mombazo, and other influential musicians….at great risk, by breaking the strict cultural boycott back in those horrible days. I believe their risk ultimately helped the SA freedom movement go forth, by putting a face on it with ART.
If i were in the position to, I would jump at the chance to make the Smarties Pitti FW dreams come true.
I am sure I am not alone among your fans, in wishing to hear any updates of their Pitti possibilities.
Thank you again for sharing them with us. Such a heartfelt example of how we all connect through art, and for this wonderful photo of Enrico and Florence.
