Hm. He has obviously paid a lot of money for his clothes, a couple of the items are recognizable by those of us who read men's fashion mags. I have to say the plaid and polka-dot go quite well together, IMHO, but I think he forgot the quintessential rule: put your outfit together, and before you leave the house, take one thing off. He could have created a similar outfit with more creativity and a lot less money. Jorge from WPB
There are only a handful of comments at this point, but of course they all state the same thing: the mixing of the pattern. That in itself just like the look is cliche. So, you mixed your prints… that doesnt mean it's cool or looks good.
If one of the prints was in a different color scheme, it would look a little more interesting. As well the fabrication on the polka dotted jacked looks garish with the fabrication of the plaid jacket.
Lastly, if this was taken yesterday in NY, it was way too hot for all this. Fashion is great, fashion is art, but fashion should also be functional… if you're sweating bullets underneath… all of this was useless.
The Manhattan skyline just came into view, returning home from Boston — first order of business is checking who's what on the streets! Very handsome man, jacket and shirt!
some people seem to have an issue with his hat, but if he removed it, tht wouldn't be true to his style and the way he's expressing himself through his dress…
i think he looks great! always a sucker for smart pattern mixing…
This guy's look says "step to me 'cause I'm cool." Slamming look–are those gloves in his left hand pocket? Just the right amount of disheveled. Shoes? We wonder.
Love the idea!!! I don't know if i would mix and match those fabrics and patterns but always love when someone pushes the envelope to create something different, thats realy style!! Great coat none the less
i really like the angle of his hat, it adds something to the outfit especially with that pattern mix, navy colour scheme and those eyes-some people are analysing this look so seriously-it's someone's personal style, everyone is different :)
I can see Bryan Greenberg's character in 'How to Make it in America' wearing this. Assuming this is from at least a month ago (gloves in left pocket), four layers in April?? Love to see the shoes as well.
I just don't see anything creative going on with dude's look here, he's just playin' (payin'?) by the rule to attain that streetwear-nerd look. At least it matches tonally. I wish guys could break free from that high-fade-with-beard look that's becoming generic among young (mostly gay) men. Also, New York, let's embrace spring–time to retire the Black Watch tartan until Fall.
Aw, nothing new here, he's just playin' (payin'?) by the rules to attain that streetwear-nerd look. At least it matches tonally. I'm not a huge fan of the high-fade-and-beard combo that's becoming generic amongst young (mostly gay) men. Also spring is here New York, time to retire that Black Watch until Fall.
Fantastic! A plaid "baseball jacket" combines two major trends in men's fashion this season. And mixing the polka dot with the plaid makes it that much more adventurous! Love it!
I like this a lot. He comes across as a normal guy with great taste, not a fashion snob. I think the addition of the cap, while not "fashionable" per say, shows that he's his own person.
The more the upper classes try to co-opt the style and dress of the working class the easier it to spot the poser. so keep up the good work there young rich white boy.

Can't you all understand that fashion is for EVERYONE? Yes, now that we've got that down.. The bicycle hat looks great to me and it's always a breath of fresh air to see a young man (of my age who isn't a stock broker or an ad exec.) who puts some effort into his style. Great thrown together look. Stop shredding everyone to pieces, folk.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks he looks like a farmboy. Nothing wrong with that, but is this really fashionable? If so, come see the rest of the line in a field near you. They should be plowing them soon.
Anya: This is an OPEN forum for everyone. Each person is entitled to their opinion regardless of it is positive or negative. As well, your comment about ad execs and stockbrokers is stereotypical. There are many who dress very well, and who challenge the norm of their profession.
What are you his gf? Sorry, Fashion isn't always so nice. (see my original post at 10:08am.. it's one of the first few comments).
I usually don't think plaid and polka dots are a good combination, but for some reason this actually works. Perhaps it's the dark colors or how confident he loos while wearing it. I'm not sure, but I like it!
He is fantastic. I don't care if this is "fashionable" or not. He is showing his own style, and isn't that what fashion is really about, anyway? He's so cute, he can wear whatever he wants to.
Mmmmmmmmm, poka dots and stripes isn't that the biggest faux pas for boys/mens fashion? Personally, I just think he'd have been better off with 1 or the other. He looks man enough to pull off just 1 and leave it at that, especially with the cap as well, it just feels a bit too much effort for me and he knew it too when he left his house/apt but decided to put on his best I'm a man's man face so hides it really well!!!!
