The 3 F's
December 19, 2012 at 7:37 pm
Those are two very dapper gentlemen. The one on the left does not seem to know how he feels about having his picture taken. The way he’s holding his coat up makes me think he’s not too keen on it.

Maybe he’s just cold. Winter in NY is all kinds of chilly.
December 19, 2012 at 2:07 pm
Now that is a skinny jean! Definitely partial to the burgundy Doc Martens – v. cool.
December 19, 2012 at 2:16 pm
Great outfits :)
December 19, 2012 at 2:21 pm
Ancien et moderne. Une nouvelle ère?
December 19, 2012 at 2:24 pm
Love it! I wish men in Finland looked more like that…
December 19, 2012 at 2:34 pm
This pair is brilliant!
December 19, 2012 at 2:36 pm
Really so nice pic. Have a great day.
December 19, 2012 at 2:42 pm
Love it. Are those the Brant brothers?

I can’t say this works for me. The too skinny pant, the oversized jackets and sweaters. I have never been fond of the emasculated skinny male waif. Not advocating overt machismo, just masculinity. This is what I find so disturbing in the current male model look, the man vs boy syndrome.
December 28, 2012 at 2:13 pm
December 31, 2012 at 7:59 pm
Agree. The super skinny pant is very over. And generally worn by people who don’t have the body for it. Ouch.
January 14, 2013 at 5:50 pm
Meh. I prefer to see the full spectrum and not just all polar ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ and applied to specific sexes. Humans should be way more interesting than that. I think this look suits him perfectly.
December 19, 2012 at 2:45 pm
Such a cool couple. Love their punk attitude.
December 19, 2012 at 2:47 pm
they look cute together!
December 19, 2012 at 2:52 pm
that green jacket, short black dress and stockings …………………
December 19, 2012 at 2:53 pm
These dudes must be so excited to be on The Sartorialist. Too bad their hipster status dictates that they can’t show it.
December 21, 2012 at 5:49 am
Hehehe bet they punched the air and screamed as soon as Mr Sartorialist had gone around the corner. I find their look pretty familiar but I love how the photograph itemises the similarities between them and frames them between the woman in the green cape and the yellow bag/blue jacket on the right.
December 19, 2012 at 2:55 pm
The green coat on the left !

December 19, 2012 at 3:12 pm
Great look, both of them! Love the dc Martens!
December 19, 2012 at 3:42 pm
The classical Docs are always an option when it cames about street style
December 19, 2012 at 3:44 pm
See this is classic Scott Schuman. I’d like to see more of this.
December 19, 2012 at 3:49 pm
I must be missing something. They seem unremarkable to me. Thought the one on the right was a woman until I noticed his hands and his Adam’s apple.
December 19, 2012 at 4:09 pm
Not sure about this couple!
December 19, 2012 at 4:11 pm
Ugh. This isn’t style, it’s fashion, and the absolute worst part of it too. In ten years, they’ll look at this picture and say “Oh my God, what the heck was I thinking!?!”
December 19, 2012 at 4:13 pm
Love their outfits but their face looks so funny! KInd of surprised almost!
THE STEL STYLE

Like the outfit on the right, can’t really see the outfit on left. Not crazy about either of their facial expressions…..

GoLeft,GoLeft: Black hat, dress, stockings; green coat. Two guys: maybe not.
December 19, 2012 at 9:33 pm
Their style is pretty typical but not bad. That being said, they’re lucky they look great together, are skinny and that the photo is beautiful.
December 20, 2012 at 12:28 am
Digging the patterns and color coordinated outfits.
December 20, 2012 at 3:35 am
What a lovely photo! I really like the geometric print sweater and that voluminous cream scarf – it looks so soft! Definitely two very stylish people.
Bonnie, Clyde and Marni
December 20, 2012 at 5:15 am
Love their style!!
December 20, 2012 at 8:36 am
I am tired of skinny jeans and Doc Martens. At least these guys are shaved.
December 20, 2012 at 9:00 am
Umbrella walking stick good. Tip should be insulated from the rest, though, if metal. Snow equals static equals charging up and skirts lifting. Always be armed with parasol, stick, distance-keeper, but do not be danger to oneself by carrying a charge.

The gaunt male model look. The skinny jeans look needs to end. What’s going on with his pockets? Wearing my blue Docs today – real ones – from England!
December 20, 2012 at 1:23 pm
The docs are from liverpool, last time I checked that’s in England as well.
December 28, 2012 at 5:00 pm
Yes, I suppose Liverpool is still in England. Anyway, how do you know where this chap’s Docs are from? Did he take them off so you could look inside?
My point was that they are now also made in China and Thailand so you have to check to make sure that what you’re buying are the British-made ones. According to some quick research, “the vintage collection is made in England and they cost about $60 more than the other ones.”
December 28, 2012 at 8:19 pm
Kelseyfromtheblock knows the Docs are from Liverpool bc she happens to know the young man in the photo and where he got them. And I know this because I am mother of the young man wearing the Docs. And yes, the boots were made in England. I like the oxblood color but blue ones sound pretty cool too.
December 20, 2012 at 1:35 pm
i love it. they are adorable. brant brothers for sure. excellent gentlemen.
December 20, 2012 at 1:36 pm
Love it. Two beautiful boys. I definitely see the brant brothers.
December 20, 2012 at 1:53 pm
I am so over the hipsters and their skinny jeans … just annoying
December 20, 2012 at 3:43 pm
Cough * Hipsters…
December 20, 2012 at 5:38 pm
Typical trendy 2nd generation hipsters. I’m always amazed that hipsters have no idea how to wear Doc Martens.
The lady in the green coat saves the shot.
December 20, 2012 at 5:39 pm
And don’t get me started on the brolley…
December 20, 2012 at 10:35 pm

December 25, 2012 at 8:20 pm
Let’s get even edgier! Beautiful!
