Thanks Marisa for the tip :) I really never expected them to be zara shoes, when looking at the rest of the outfit.
However, the coolest things you find do not have to be expensive, actually it’s quite the opposite. For example a lot of handmade from Italy is actually quite cheap, like bags…
I like the prints, I like the colours of the prints, not sure I like them together? To pull the pant suit look together the prints should be matching…good try!
Gosh, this looks like a page out of Lucky Magazine’s January issue (Jennifer Hudson on the cover). I like the sandals…nothing something I’m really thinking about as we Chicagoans lurch toward winter, but still fun to think about anyhow.
Well-done ! The mix of patterns with the colourful shoes is perfect. Those shoes are amazing – does anyone have details on them? the brand, where to buy?
HER STYLE IS FLAWLESS AND SHE IS TOO!!! Her personality speaks volumes through her daring yet classic combo…so elegant but funky and so damn fun at the same time! Work those killer shoes girl, you’re taking over the world! Love you! xx
I always love it when I scroll through a photo on the site and have a “yes!” moment when I reach the bottom –
Loved the jacket, loved the pants…and the shoes…wow.
makes me want to add some pattern to my all-black outfit today.
I was scanning all the comments and gulping to myself, “uh … am I the ONLY one who’s not keen on this look???” So THANK YOU for speaking up, Janie the Angel Queen! Lol!
Okay, there are only 2 people that can pull this look off – 1 is the girl in the photo (how she made mixed animal print in yellow/black/white/is that pink? work is beyond me!) and Elton John. AMAZING. Thank you for capturing this. And not sure if The Strand refers to the strands of her hair – but love her hair in this. Thank you! xo
I quietly sit in a corner and read you every day. This holiday, I thought I would say thank you for all that you do, and a happy holiday season to you. Now going back to my corner…..
As I already said, I m not a fan of animal print and I ll be so happy when it will move to the archives of fashion history. But the shoes are really awesome. And the cut of the jacket is also fab!
I love this look. I think the jacket & pants are from the same designer, but I don’t know who. I am a big fan of mixed prints in general, and I always think it is fun to try to analyse why it works. As everyone knows it is hard to do. It is a special case when it is 2 colourways of the same print. I think it is the simplicity and abstraction of the leopard pattern that makes this mix work (along with the great shoes). If it were naturalistic leopard, or a very fussy print, not sure it would work.
