Hi! I found your blog and am addicted to it. I have been reading for a few weeks now and I love your pictures and style. This one is fab. With you as our eyes and sense in style people a little further away (Germany) can keep up with what hot and what not!
Agree Milla is beautiful. Some of Jovovich-Hawk styles seem alittle unwearable for the every day. But Milla always looks great, in no small way due to her amazing face. The ‘safari’ Donna Karan campaign (think with Jeremy Irons?) a few years ago – she looked stunning.
She has great personal style and I’m always inspired by what I see her wearing. She looks like she really picks her own looks, it’s no surprise she’s co-designing a collection. Can’t wait to see the collection on Style.com and your pics from the front row of course.
She is such an stylish woman in a ultra feminine, yet rocker attitude: some naughty elegance. The line she is part of is very friendly. It is not as hipster as Imitation of christ, but still holds that vintage glamour.
sart, your pictures are just incredible. this one, the girl in the h&m dress crossing the street, and especially the one of the beautiful girl with the louise brooks bob and wistful expression. what a treat it is to drop in each day to see what you’ve come up with and to never be disappointed. well, except for the guy with the anklets ;-) eeek!
I just finished watching Milla’s movie “The Messenger:the story of Joan of Arc” a few weeks ago…the movie made me love her more than before…she is just not a pretty face…she also can act…I just wish the picture of Milla would be a little bit bigger…The rest is just great as usual.
It is a pleasure to look at these cool and poetic photos of people each day. Especially for a person who misses N.Y. and the great style if it’s inhabitants.
milla is such a classic beauty. i still remember the first fashion article i ever saw with her – in teen magazine! i was approximately 9 years old. her current campaign with etro is so beautiful. i find myself unable to pull my eyes away from the pictures, she’s so gorgeous. (same thing with the donna karan campaign from a few years back that alice olive mentioned.) plus she designs, sings, acts, and fairly well? a true girl-crush.
Her face was incredible to watch in “The Claim.” Even in “Dazed and Confused” a momentary glimpse of her face was breathtaking. I kept wanting to see more. Funny how most movie stars really look so much more compelling actualy “moving”–on the camera. Still photos don’t do their features justice, at times.
It’s sort of heartening to know that certain clothes will make everyone, even Milla, look bad–like a knit off white shift dress. And that everyone has (or should have) a slight tummy bulge, no matter how skinny.
My favorite streetwear imagery has to be from that book about the Japanese Harujuku “Fruits” scene.
Hey, heads-up, Mr. Sartorialist, your email is full!
This is probably breaking a rule of you-take-the-pics on this blog, but I wanted to email you a link to pics of the fashion stand I’ve taken in the Michigan hinterlands. Here ya go: http://outyourbackdoor.com/articles2006/jp.fancy.outfits
I saw Milla at JFK the other day. Just wandering around. It was one of those “Stars Are Just Like You and Me” moments… “They have to buy the shitty coffee at the airport concession stand.” She did of course then get into her black car, while I was stuck with Connecticut Limo. Ah well…

Great legs but she needs better fitting undergarments. The “rumpled bra” look isn’t so great.
But isn’t she gorgeous…

Loved Milla in “The fifth element” and “Zoolander”
I hope she continues to do movies.
She is beautiful in person.

Who is the stylish woman taking Milla’s photo? I spy blonde hair and funky clothes…is it Ellen Von Unwerth?

I’ve always admired Milla, she never gets it wrong, though this dress is very unforgiving, even on her :(

Like Linda Evangelista, she’s in the group of models I watch for their hairstyle choices as well.
She looks so great with that “bowl”-type curly bob she currently has in the Etro campaigns. She always looks great.

agree with broady. seeing the texture of everything underneath your colthes is not good.
