The birth of a Style Icon…sometimes it’s all about the right look at the right time. Your photos of Giovanna are testament to her ability to wear many different looks and own each one. She looks healthy and full of self-respect. Might be an odd thing to say…but I just get that vibe from the photos. Lauren Hutton exudes the same things.
she is just gorgeous, isn’t she? gorgeous and tremendously chic. she may well work very hard at it, but she looks as if she was simply born with an inate sense of style, not unlike fred astaire, and perhaps a certain photographer who shall remain nameless.
wearing a mini and heels on a rainy day? impressive. it’s a really cool outfit but were it moi…i’d be out in a pair of comfy jeans and flats. good for her though!
I don’t like this look. If she wasn’t at Fashion Week and I saw her on the street I would think she looked like an (expensive) extra from an 80s movie.
hmmm…i have shoes very similar to hers from the zara summer 2006 collection. didn’t think they could look so hot though. in fact, i sold them to my mum…dammit.
Do you ever interview the people in the pictures? I know you did it a couple times, but it would be so interesting to have more interviews of regular sartorialists.
consider me flattened (Giovanna and Sart’s double-impact, too much to take) – just one little thing: the saturday-pic of Giovanna on style.com is somehow gone; gone, that is, before I could enshrine it . . .
I can’t believe this girl is the same woman in the grey dress from a few days ago! I looked up her profile in the Sept Vogue…seems this is more the *real* Giovanna. I *thought* the grey dress Giovanna was an oh so stylish 40-something woman. Same red bag though!
This woman is ridiculously hot!I mean how often can you capture someone twice in one week and both times, they undoubtedly outshine the rest! It’s insane.

I want to ask you americans..is the shredded mini deminskirt “trendy” on your side of the pond? Back here i europe(northen parts)..i wouldn’t even think about wearing it! Besides from the skirt she looks cute.
Met Giovanna in Paris last year during men’s fashion week, didn’t know who she was, but she always drew my attention, she always dressed well, elegantly and people always turn head…
Great legs, and I love her bag, but I really don’t like this outfit. Each piece is fine (particularly the jacket) but, for me, it’s not working together.
Her gray dress was amazing. I read the Vogue interview and was stunned that she was 26. She looks about 36 (not that that’s a bad thing!) She just doesn’t look like a woman in her 20s.
Unbelievable. So stylish and beautiful. Her smile looks like she’s the only one in on her own private joke. Amazing legs, I could go on and on. More Giovanna please.
She’s such a chameleon. Looks different in each photo. Here she’s very gamine and young-looking. In the grey dress though, she looked like a very sophisticated and mature woman. Stunning in both cases.

That’s the kind of look that would make me stop my car and just stare. It almost borders on overwhelming…
Lots of times when I see stuff in magazines, I wonder, “who would actually wear that stuff in real life?” But it works for her.

i don’t like anything that she is wearing, nor the combination of denim, nor the fact that her legs have no shape at all.
however, she does exude something awesome, even via photo (i have no idea who she is), her face + eyes are FIERCE.
maybe i just have a different concept of beauty!

She is lovely.
