November 16, 2012 at 8:26 pm
there should be a balance between comfort and aesthetics in every good design….
November 17, 2012 at 1:16 am
I agree. Doesn’t appear that the shoes are in the comfort part but they are amazing!
November 17, 2012 at 5:46 am

More power to this woman for 1) being able to get these shoes on and off, and 2) being able to walk and stand in them.

Those shoes are obscene! They fill my mind with dirty thoughts! (Okay okay—they just bring out the thoughts that are already there.) But—OMG! Wow! Those shoes!
November 16, 2012 at 10:12 pm
wow! that’s beautiful! so inspiring.
November 16, 2012 at 10:13 pm
Love it all, but her feet looked like they have been tied into those shoes as a form of torture.
November 16, 2012 at 10:16 pm

November 17, 2012 at 3:26 am
I really like your shoes. Looks amazing.
November 17, 2012 at 3:29 am
Those shoes look like instruments of torture…and her feet don’t even look pretty in them. WAY over the top!
November 17, 2012 at 10:35 am
November 17, 2012 at 7:06 pm
AGREED! Beautiful outfit, but her feet look horrendously squished and tortured in those ridiculous shoes. Makes the beauty of the outfit take a sad turn..the foot was not meant to bend (or walk) in the position.
November 22, 2012 at 6:20 pm
Thank you! I thouhgt i am missimg smth. For me her legs dont look healthy at all andas for the shoes.. the way they bend the anckle part is just painful to see.
November 17, 2012 at 4:25 am
i like the contrast between very masculine jacket and femine shoes
November 17, 2012 at 4:52 am
I like the shoes and the purse, but I’m not sure about the outfit.

I love the masculine and feminine combination and as I stroll down…..
Gasp ! The shoes ! This young woman is lucky to have that natural curve of her foot (like a dancer) that allows her to wear those vertiginous heels !
Great photo composition.
November 17, 2012 at 7:08 pm
Umm…I don’t think that curve can be described as “natural” at all – do you know about the mechanics of how our feet developed for walking?
November 19, 2012 at 12:41 am
I have a very high arch, so I can attest that she does indeed have one as well. I don’t think I could run in those, but I could walk comfortably for a day or so.
Its actually healthy to vary your shoes from high to medium to low heels. And if anyone tries to tell you any kind of nonsense about arthritis being caused by heels, they are lying. Its genetic.
November 19, 2012 at 7:23 am
I have a very high arch also…but that arch on her foot has nothing to do with the angle of her toes. That bend is extremely unnatural.
November 17, 2012 at 8:25 am
Wow those heels are eycatchers
November 17, 2012 at 8:37 am
The shoes and the jacket are so perfect together. I love her shirt matching her notebook too !!!!
November 17, 2012 at 8:40 am
Very interesting and creative high heels!

I like the jacket. I like the shoes. Together there’s a disconnect.
November 17, 2012 at 12:10 pm
OWWWW! Her feet look so sore. My toes are curling in pain just looking at this. Brave choices, but not sure I like it as an outfit at all. All power to her though – she must be made of steel.
November 17, 2012 at 12:57 pm
Tres chic- I agree!
November 17, 2012 at 1:19 pm

Love the army jacket with her chique look and those heels are stunning!
November 17, 2012 at 3:20 pm
Reminds me of chinese bound feet, somehow. Podiatrists should love these shoes; they’ll be able to dine out more frequently…..

November 17, 2012 at 6:50 pm
Her legs and feet are visibly rebelling against those shoes. They’re fun to look at, but I agree with @titi – there should be a balance between comfort and aesthetics in good design.
November 17, 2012 at 8:54 pm
What uncomfortable shoes :S
November 17, 2012 at 9:42 pm

A big kiss from Greece!
November 18, 2012 at 6:14 pm
wow, she is just up there on her tippy toes!
I would personally consider it torture…I’d like to refer to one of Garance’s posts earlier…flats are in…someone ought to tell this gal so she can stop torturing herself.
but who am I to say..I have some friends that actually say it is quite comfortable.
Are they lying? :)
November 19, 2012 at 12:35 am
She looks pretty comfortable to me. In any case, if she likes them, who cares. The truth is somewhere in between. Its not in any way painful to wear heels, but you can’t move as fast or as nimbly, and this can be a pain in the behind. However, it feels really good, powerful and sexy to walk in heels. Sort of the way it feels to walk in boots. It gives you a feeling of badassery. So to each his own. She is an adult, and can make choices for herself. I am pretty darn sure this woman knows whats in! No need to tell her anything.
November 18, 2012 at 7:50 pm
Seriously, she looks in torture wearing them, I feel for her.

November 19, 2012 at 3:51 pm
great outfit!, it seems to be just so easy…..great shoes
November 20, 2012 at 4:22 pm
Look at that pair of legs in those pair of damn shoes
November 20, 2012 at 10:49 pm
I would like to see her walk in those shoes. Most shoes like that look great when they are being posed in, but the second women try to walk in them, they can’t. Instead of sexy they ususally look pathetic — trying too hard.
November 21, 2012 at 1:02 am
The shoes are just wrong.

She’s my fashion heroine–in every sense of that bon mot…)
November 26, 2012 at 3:54 pm
Those shoes look awful.
November 27, 2012 at 6:24 pm
Shoes like that are seriously evil and should be outlawed. Not because they are ugly but because they are dangerous to the wearer’s health. She could break her ankle very easily. I am not a fan of keeping up with fashion at the risk of injury. I have seen women trying to walk in shoes like this and they always look like they have a 2×4 stuck up their you know what. Not graceful and they look very, very silly.
