Am I right in assuming that’s a jacket with a capelet effect? If so, I’d wear it happily–it’s fabulous!–but not with the pants. That’s a lot of grapes for one look.

‘..a lot of grapes for one look..’ Agree lol!

Maybe she was REALLY inspired by the Steinbeck novel.

I love that she is wearing it together. Such a lovely print would be wasted on just wearing the jacket with a solid color or even a complimentary print. Matching is just so much more awesome then things that “go together” sometimes. That would be a cop out. Although the pants would look pretty great with a bright colored blouse or a black one.
Her make up and outgrown Louise Brooks bob are perfect for the whole thing.

interesting. a wine lover, perhaps? :)

Love the haircut!

Does a tense hand ensure a tight grip? Too many grapes for me, I prefer florals.

love this print!
November 19, 2012 at 3:14 am
I love the print, I probably wouldn’t have wore the entire outfit, but separate it.
What about the grape jacket paired with a black skirt?

Grape print..love it! Amazing suit!
November 19, 2012 at 4:10 am
love the pattern on pattern!! fabulous!
November 19, 2012 at 4:14 am
Beautiful printed suit! :)
November 19, 2012 at 4:25 am
I think the grapes and leaves are a pretty cool alternative to a floral print. All the horizontal lines across her back break it up a little bit and add depth, and the casual hair helps too. All in all, this is one seriously cool lady!
November 19, 2012 at 4:26 am
I really like her outfit. Have a nice day.
November 19, 2012 at 4:48 am
Wow! You can’t miss her in a crowd. It reminds me of a Matador uniform, a fruity Matador. Interesting photo as ever but the print is too much for me. Beautiful discreet bag though!
November 19, 2012 at 4:51 am
Nice photo and suit, love the colors!
November 19, 2012 at 5:03 am
Hmm, may be only one piece of that print, but both – jacket & pants? I don’t know. Or may be both is not that bad? I am confused :D
So beautiful. I love KENZO pieces.

for a moment there I thought you’d found Jaime Murray.
Love the guts to wear this great outfit. She’s got the looks for it. Nice pic.
November 19, 2012 at 7:24 am
Flowers florals grapes glorals,
perhaps a new classic!
November 19, 2012 at 7:36 am
A walking vineyard ?
I agree with some of the comments : just one piece of grapes would do.
November 19, 2012 at 7:48 am
Wow! A print not for the faint of heart…and yet, she carries it very well. The cut and style of the suit is awesome with its capelet-style jacket, plus I think the muted accessories and her won coloring help too.
I actually quite like it!

Nice colours, but not feeling the lots of grapes print.

that’s a bold suit.

I love all this matching top and pants business this season, I’ve got to sew me some when I get home. I’ve got the fabric, the patterns, I just need the time!
November 19, 2012 at 10:32 am
Printed suits like this put an enormous smile on my dial! I don’t think it’s too much at all, I wished everyone enjoyed putting as much effort and energy into how they dress themselves everyday like this cool cat.
November 19, 2012 at 10:36 am
That suit is something special, I would never ever wear it but it fits her well!
November 19, 2012 at 10:49 am
Let’s put it this way: I’d wife her.
November 19, 2012 at 11:23 am
looks like she’s in a vineyard!
November 19, 2012 at 12:09 pm
not a fan of the grapes… but the colors and cut sure make them look fabulous!

Love the grapes jacket <3

eye yie yie. A dish towel print.
November 19, 2012 at 2:49 pm
I love the print, so much strong colour but so subtle. Maybe a little much together but she has the body to make it work :)
November 19, 2012 at 2:53 pm
She and her clothes look hyper-real. Completely saturated in colour. Nothing remotely wishy-washy about her. I love it, myself.
November 19, 2012 at 4:18 pm
love how the colors of the print stand against the dark background, beautifully captured!
November 19, 2012 at 4:19 pm
KENZO is big on grapes. You can find their Vans in white grapes or black grapes like the dress in the picture.
They have also released a summer dress in white with grapes.
November 19, 2012 at 5:23 pm
Well, this is a fabulous trouser suit but, let’s be honest, making this level of impact you could only really wear it once! x
November 19, 2012 at 6:20 pm
Wow, I don’t know if I could pull this off, but she sure does. It goes with her look. Love it.

Even traditionally print-loving cultures don’t do the same print head to toe…Is fashion really this desperate for novelty? There are printed jeans on sale all over my city after only weeks on the racks, and the same thing will happen with all the fluoro. I feel quite despairing we don’t think through our impulsive “must-have” purchases to what happens after we have tired of them, measured now in only weeks. Once we bought classics and durable basics and only the wealthy bought novelties. Now we can all have novelties but they won’t be inherited by our daughters, they’ll be landfill. I mean no disrespect to the lovely subject of this picture, it has just triggered a sobering chain of thoughts.

I’ve pondered this question about novelty in general for some time. I have yet to figure out the right answer, but I find some solace in the fact that what we’re looking at is style. There will always be prints, patterns, and novelty fabrics. What keeps it all refreshing and a bit exciting is how a person chooses to interpret fashion into their everyday life.

I want a printed suit so bad!
November 20, 2012 at 4:32 am
ughhhh there it is again… my “faaaavorite” print collection – but the girl and the cut makes it work

Love the print on this suit.

I really enjoy this print. When I think about it, I like fruit prints in general.
She looks divine.
Stella mccartney citrus print anyone?
November 24, 2012 at 7:06 am
this i s a great print – i would wear the both pieces together too – no compromise – no trying to make it into a “safe” look. this is bold and perfect for everyday! in my opinion..
November 24, 2012 at 7:12 am
Amazing! I hope one day I’ll have the guts to wear a beautifull suit like this. Nice to wear seperate, but sure nice to wear as a full outfit as well. I think if her hair was slightly shorter she looked perfect.
Does anyone know who the designer is?

All I want now is stuff that matches and prints I can wear in to peaces together. Long live the pant suit. Wearing something like that means that the woman is confident and knows how to stand out beautifully. I love that about her.
November 2, 2015 at 6:46 pm
The cut of the jacket really accentuates the waist.
