Hmm, I’m not sure about this trend.

Recently, I have been intrigued to try tall socks next spring/summer… should I? or will I look like a boy that goes to a preppy private kindergarten that costs more than university tuition…. only time will tell…. :)

Love this, slimming to the legs and warm and cozy for the winter!!
November 14, 2012 at 4:26 pm

November 14, 2012 at 4:40 pm
What if we are just oogling the women wearing tall socks?
November 14, 2012 at 4:49 pm
Great trend, it gives me some ideas!
November 14, 2012 at 4:50 pm
I like the idea, but not the executions in these pics.

I can think about them all I like but since we’re coming up to a blistering australian summer, that’s all I can do – otherwise my feet will be writing letters of protest to their local member for parliament.
Mind you, if I could do it and look like the woman in the first pic, sans fag, I’d let my toes do their worst and just go for it.

A total turn-on for me…going back to my Catholic School days.

I love long socks, and wear them often – but slimming to the legs (@Ciara)? Hell no! I have pretty big calves and they look bigger with the knee socks, but I just love the way they suit an outfit so I do it anyway…
November 15, 2012 at 6:39 am
I agree, I really don’t think anyone can pull this off unless they have quite slim legs
November 14, 2012 at 5:52 pm
No, I don’t like them, not feminine.
November 14, 2012 at 6:35 pm
I like the skirt so much!!!! Is it the prada one?
I’m totally in love with this look!!!
November 14, 2012 at 6:53 pm
Slouchy socks, along with scarves, are another obsession. I like to layer my socks too, combining different textures and tones.

These tall socks remind me of my high school uniform. Kind of loving that link

Tall socks is a great accessory, in some cases it can look ridiculous. Great shots in your collage but don’t see a pair of socks that I would buy.
November 14, 2012 at 7:35 pm
I wear it , very confortable !
November 14, 2012 at 7:37 pm
I like it! :)
November 14, 2012 at 7:44 pm
I wear it so I love it !!
November 14, 2012 at 7:50 pm
Absolutely LOVING tall socks for fall. They’re a much cooler and more unique alternative to tights. Much more comfortable too.
November 14, 2012 at 7:53 pm
love high socks! they’re my favorite thing about the fall!

Your trend spotting posts are some of my favorites.

Okay, so you have to be under 30 years old to wear long socks? And definitely not over 40?

Long life to long socks !

Cool knee socks & shoes were the one way we could individualize our junior high Catholic school uniforms. Loved ‘em. I think I like the bottom left photo best because it reminds me of one of my favorite sock-shoe combos from that time.
November 15, 2012 at 3:29 am
My knees are too old, but the woman in the third picture, the one that is wearing a brown jacket, can easily be seen as incredibly stylish in a pair of knee high socks
November 15, 2012 at 3:45 am
There are some looks looks where I like it but also ones I hate. For me it depends on how you wear it..

I LOVE SOCKS !! hate tights…. I will wear tall socks until it is freezing outside… or snow on the ground… My boyfriend says I look a little school-girlish sometimes though.. have to be careful how I wear them/style them. Its not easy to find cute socks either. My favorite brands are antipast and alto.
November 15, 2012 at 5:59 am
I’m totally loving the sock trend!
November 15, 2012 at 8:00 am
I am so thinking about it that I even wear a pair around the house in my comfy look :)
btw, love the 2nd look. wish I could wear it!
November 15, 2012 at 9:06 am
A rather hideous look. Only really, really GREAT legs can pull it and not look totally ridiculous.
November 15, 2012 at 9:41 am
cute style but not for me.
November 15, 2012 at 11:05 am
i wonder if tall socks would make a preggo lady (me) look even more stumpy. :/
November 15, 2012 at 2:22 pm
Actually, I have been!
I wear them over nylons and under military boots!
November 15, 2012 at 7:44 pm
