With the tag of coats maybe it’s not just the person in the fore ground, but the man in a dark coat on the right and the woman with the red shoes in the back ground that he is trying to capture.
Socks are making quite the comeback. Between the shoes and the cleverly hidden shopping bag, I would venture to guess that fashion plays an important but discreet place in this man’s life.
Perhaps because i am neither in the fashion nor the photography industry, nor do I want to publicize a blog: I am compelled to type: he looks very uncomfortable in those pants. He looks uncomfortable over-all, even if he is a great stylist. Sorry.
Gotta love a man with great style! I’d assume he likes the pants as are, but I’d definitely like them more if they were juuust a bit longer. Then again, they draw more attention to the shoes in this way and those are fabulous.
For an italian man it would be impossible to wear these socks, the color does not fix. It’s a big big mistake in style. Shame because the rest is quite nice…
The Tweed jacket under his overcoat would be nice to see – providing a good contrast in fabrics and colours (can just catch a glimpse of it).
Could afford to be a bit more adventurous with the socks maybe? if you’re going to show them, they might as well be worth showing.
Glasses are nice, but again would have been cool maybe in tortoise shell, or a brown to match the (very cool) shoes.
Sorry for the long comment, but my opinions and i like that you give the opportunity for people to do that.
The pant length is what are known as floods – prioritize fashion over function and signify an effete dandyism Fall 2012. Conformist signifier within the microculture of fashion.
Great photo. I love the double Monk strap shoes, they are great. Personally, I’d have loved to have seen the sports jacket underneath the coat in more detail.
Sitting down in those khakis can be rather problematic. I like the colors but not the items themselves. The bag and the scarf are my fav items. And he could use glasses with longer temples.
I’ve always believed that a gentleman can demonstrate a true sense of style by effectively focusing one single feature. In this case shoes. Restraint in fashion to me is much more interesting than someone who holds nothing back.

Geek glasses (think Colin Firth). Check.
Worker-style jacket. Check.
Slim khakis, cut short. Check.
Double monk strap shoes. Check.
Yep, all the trendy pieces in a fine-looking man. Maybe he should have skipped the socks.
