there are so many girls like her in Paris that flote arrond being totally deconstructed versions of chic. I like them. Of course deconstruction scares the hell out of convention.
i swear i see my life flashing before my eyes — the platforms, opaque hosiery, graphic prints, smocked tops and dresses, and now the paperbag waist. worn low like this is a new take, however, and a decided improvement.
You’ve lost me now, I’m sitting here pondering how cool I thought Mallory was. The whole pretty-but-dumb thing was completely lost on me – I was too little and saw only the pretty.
French women can pull ANYTHING off. No need for a purse. No makeup. They can pretty much wear whatever they want with just a cigarette and cup of coffee as accessories. HOW do they do that??

This looks ridiculous to me. I thought the 80′s were finished, and everyone agreed that the fashions were awful. Now its stylish?
Couldnt I get the same effect bu purchasing pants 4 sizes too large and using a piece of rope to hold them up?

She looks great. Love the black and white. Her hair style really suits the look too.

She’s cute, but I hate the paperbag waist in that it’s (weirdly) totally uncomfortable.

Anon–paperbagging is when the waist is larger than necessary and gathered.

I can’t really tell, but the belt seems to be doing something interesting. Never saw a paper bag look so good. What’s the secret?
