In the spirit of fun — I’m out on necklaces! The bracelets for the most part are cool, have been for some time. I vote no on men’s necklaces. I abstain on neck bling. http://lordashbury.com
I have to say this trend doesn’t suit everyone, but the man on the very right looks so cool with his necklace. This is probably because it’s out of the ordinary and unexpected.
However the other two look very average so it doesn’t seem to suit them as much. http://untrucoudeux.wordpress.com/
to your no’s I add a yes….with a note: the guy on the left has a great necklace that works to compliment his proportions and i like the center guy. the necklace on the guy on the right is really weighing him down. maybe if he hadn’t tucked in his shirt part way and let it hang loose his torso wouldn’t appear so short. i think he only tucked in his shirt part way to show of the belt….just didn’t work here
I disagree with io on the guy on the right, I think he is the best styled out of all of them! Go hard or go home with a trend like this :) The guy on the left is my next fav but the guy in the middle looks a mess… I think its the jumper :S
PS the half shirt tuck has been around for a while its not just for the belt.
The design of the 3rd necklace is awesome , it super huge and great for the stage not for the street look, the 1st look is awesome-my fav.!
Kisses

Well, as a guy, I laugh with the second one of course but as I’m into fashion I see the third one as cool but the first one as the only acceptable.
I wear one myself which is a simple black (thick though) braided leather necklace with a silver connection but that’s all.
Nothing hanging and no colours.
They are cool to look at but as i have read and many times have asked, NO girl wants their guy to look feminine and most of them (even fashion bloggers) are rather conservative with their partner’s outfit :)
I remember Ghi not letting me buy an orange studded Karen Millen card holder for me :)
So, remember girls that You are the ones who control straight guy’s styling.
Well I wasn’t thinking about it acutally, but now you mention it… They are all quite tribal/earthy pieces of adornment. Interesting worn in the urban context.
Why do men always have to go tribal when trying things usually more attributed to female style (see skirt discussion 2008)? I want to do something like this without having to pretend I’ll be screaming “hooga-chakka!” the next moment.
simply no.
everything else works, but this…
not even close.
simply too much, to feminine, to bulky.
leave it to the girls, “we” already took much from them.
what’s next?
please. no more.
For most of human history the man has been the more decorated and extravagantly dressed of the two sexes. The same is true for much of the animal kingdom. It’s a necklace… not a petticoat.
I’ll have to agree with the majority on this one, none of the necklaces in these pics are good enough.. they are simply too large and bulky. The guy in the middle looks best out of the three, but still not perfect. I guess, in my opinion, necklaces for men aren’t that big of a hit unless it’s Lenny Kravitz we’re talking about ;-)
Necklaces were in almost all cultures in the world a sign of power, wealth and sometimes even health for men. Why is it in question now? Almost the same with a lot of manly wardrobe.
I thought we live in an open minded society. I am really glad that I could read so many positive comments. I like people who accept other people just like they are in case.
