I was thinking the exact same thing. I would love to wear that all white outfit, but on me it would probably look more like an Halloween costume than a fashion outfit! http://www.thieronyou.com
Yes! I’ve been thinking about capes for at least two years now, and finally found a kimono/cape/jacket combo that was ‘me’ this year. I get some double-takes when I wear it…apparently people aren’t used to such dramatic outerwear (and really, it’s nothing compared to the ones above…)
I absolutely luvvv your new “If you’re thinking about………” its so cool!
I also think you and Garance are the cutest couple and I really enjoy reading all the sweet and positive things you say about each, and the great shots you take of Garance.
It makes me feel good about the world again to see two people in love!
YES! I have 2 that I adore-my fave is a Trina Turk that I bought 2 yrs ago. So what if I live in LA and can only wear them one week out of the year. I love capes!
They can either look really good or not too good I think, you have to be able to pull it off the right way! I like the way the girl in the right photo wears hers! With her hair down, it looks great!
I LOVE CAPES! I have a scottish tartan cape that I throw over my shoulders when it’s super cold. It real dresses up an outfit. Also, amazingly warm. Good find. Love the shots.
OH! I have been thinking about capes – ALOT! For over 2 years. I haven’t found one that I LOVE yet. These are all so FAB!
XOXO

Nice mixture of observations in how a cape can make you look and feel.
Excellent choice to have the photo on the left in black and white, heightening the romantic dreaminess in feel; the rearview photo of the girl in the right picture makes me think of the film “Don’t Look Now…”. I think it’s the 70s feel of the cape and the brogues and the colours.
My favourite is the photo of man in the middle, both as a portrait and for his “look”. But then Puss in Boots is a style icon (and I have a cape collection that makes me wonder if I have a Zorro fetish!)
Good grief, I *have* been thinking about capes, how did you know? Still haven’t found exactly the one I want yet, but there’s some nice inspiration here.
I am searching for the perfect cape since a long time… Not as tall as the woman in the first pic, I would wear it a little bit shorter, but the style is great!
Love the capes. They look so insouciant! I have a red cape-like coat that I have worn forever…It is an old Vogue pattern from Issy Miyake. (Hope I have that spelling correct)
