Many things look better against the limstone buildings of Paris – limestone was selected becuase it rains so much and it glistens in the rain and looks warm in the sun.
That is really interesting…the limestone does seem to lend itself nicely to every aesthetic laid against it. What I love about this woman’s outfit is the mix of masculine and feminine accents, and her casual but confident relationship with the camera. Very cool.
Fantastic how she rocks the masculine look! Her hair complements and balances the look wonderfully. Love the touch of fur on the jacket. Really, really great look!
Wow love the suit, cropped pants with great socks and Flats…you’re right the printed blouse against the menswear patterned suit is great, let alone her accessories….what you expect from the streets of Paris!
Gosh, I didn’t even notice the socks, shoes…to me it’s all about how her platinum hair blends in with her faux fur wrap. Even her sunglasses match! She looks very Gwen Stefani in this ensemble.
So many interesting elements: a more “masculine” tailored suit with an elegant oversized fur collar and let’s not forget the playful eye wear and headphones. 50′s meets contemporary. Love it all.
I usually really dislike the look of light colored frames on sunglasses, but because she’s blonde I think it works really well. Plus they are an interesting shape of frame, so that makes them more interesting as well.
The fur collar, hair color and sunnies are what I’m liking most with this man’s suit. I think I like menswear on women when there’s still evidence of a woman living in the clothes. I beleive the shoes are the thing that pushes this look into undesired territory for me.
There’s a harmony to that contrast of floral/graphic prints; it results from the flow of golden hues from the hair on down: the frame of the sunnies, the fur, the headphones, the print, the headphone cord, the lines on the socks. And the herringbone lines of the tailored suit just keep the energy flowing…straight to those fine shoes.
I love her eccentric style. I like that she paired this otherwise feminine floral top and fur shoal with a men’s suit. Belongs in the streets of paris, indeed.
The over-the-top glasses and fur are silly in my opinion.
But the shoes are absolutely divine.
I would kill to be able to afford those. Try finding a pair of classy oxford or monkstrap, mens-wear flats in a woman’s size for less than a month’s salary. It’s hard – I’ve been trying for close to a year.
I really love how the fur blends into the sky and gives the whole picture a connection with the modern yet natural world. I also love how the sunglasses represent her face (round, yet linear). The headphones give her a more free spirited music producer, while the suit represents her as a business woman of sophisticated class. Beautiful picture! As all the rest!
This picture states……confidence! I love it all except the fur. She is rocking the outfit. My all the best though is the freaking shoes! They are hot!!!

The whole thing works. Would not be my thing from the shoulders up, but definitely:
Suit: check.
Shoes: check.
Accessories: check
Shades: fail.
Really, those shades are putting it out there.
Otherwise, phantastic look.

For the shoes, try Nordstrom Rack men’s department. They often have beautiful oxfords in very small men’s sizes, that would fit a woman.
