I hope he is carrying her bag.
October 24, 2006 at 6:34 pm

haha they’re adorable! metro couple.
October 24, 2006 at 6:36 pm
that’s the model in Nylon magazine
October 24, 2006 at 6:37 pm
Cute coats on both of them. He is definitely wearing his own shoulder tote bag. Brave man. Probably not American to begin with. Love her hot pink patent leather pumps with navy tights on an all black outfit. Great styling.
October 24, 2006 at 6:44 pm
it’s Taylor and Bart!
October 24, 2006 at 6:48 pm
I want his jeans; and sneakers. Where are those from? Martin Margiela?
October 24, 2006 at 6:52 pm
There’s a couple that looks like they have a blast being with one another.
October 24, 2006 at 7:03 pm
yum paddington bear-esque (but nice and black) coat and skinny jeans. Finally cold enough to wear variations on the theme.
October 24, 2006 at 7:33 pm
American Gothic…NYC style.
October 24, 2006 at 7:42 pm
darling coat. i miss new york.
October 24, 2006 at 8:08 pm
She works at American Apparel in Soho, probably one of the best dressed employees to date.

October 24, 2006 at 8:09 pm
His sneakers might be Common Projects.
October 24, 2006 at 8:18 pm
great couple. however, i’m not a fan of this style of hair on men. this teen appears to have supermodel good looks and he’s overshadowing it with this indie band haircut.
October 24, 2006 at 8:59 pm
Their coats match! So cute.
October 24, 2006 at 9:07 pm
save the hot pink flats for urban outfitters… their look is too contrived
October 24, 2006 at 9:10 pm
I do really apreciate that you document younger expressions too.
The blue stalkings with the redish shoes are just perfect.
The hair on the young man is just adorable!
Fun style in this couple; A very NYC mod style.
October 24, 2006 at 9:14 pm
LOVE the proportion of the short a-line coatsThey both look cute as a button!

October 24, 2006 at 9:22 pm
She’s cute as a button. Her outfit is so classic. And she has a commanding serenity. He’s cute as a button too, but it looks like he’s not having a good time. Hmmm.
October 24, 2006 at 9:36 pm
Cute couples, so meant to be together.
October 24, 2006 at 9:47 pm
oh, that coat, that coat… i want the coat the woman’s wearing! i could swear i’ve seen it before, i just can’t remember where…. damn.
October 24, 2006 at 11:00 pm
lookin’ good in teen vogue ;)
October 25, 2006 at 12:37 am
I love how she incorporates the shoes into her outfit. Everything in her outfit is a dark/neutral color then she pops out with these bright red/pink(?) shoes. Lovely.
October 25, 2006 at 12:45 am
is the coat Burberry Prorsum?
October 25, 2006 at 1:21 am
So adorable. I luuurve their look. I covet her outfit.
positively the same dame
October 25, 2006 at 1:55 am
love her coat — very much like a vintage norman norell that is hands down the best coat i have ever owned. absolutely timeless, and the sheer virtuosity of the thing almost makes my head explode. she works this one so well in combining those great colors — i bet even norman approve.
October 25, 2006 at 2:21 am
The shoes Bart has on are Payless I think… and they are amazing.
October 25, 2006 at 4:35 am
does anybody know where one can find coats like theirs online?? preferably a store that has international shippping too .. would love to get my hands on of those :)
October 25, 2006 at 5:03 am
Dude, that coat is banging, perfect length. Paired up nicely with a nice pair of straight-legged jeans. Good going man.And nice girlfriend too.

some day men will realise that super tight trousers aren’t flattering.
October 25, 2006 at 8:25 am
One of these is a guy?!?!
October 25, 2006 at 9:17 am
well….shes look great!
October 25, 2006 at 10:00 am
Seems like the perfect couple. And damn, girl, give me your clothes :)
October 25, 2006 at 10:06 am
In this one people seem to be affected by the “lack” of “tradition”, and the image’s subjects weren’t even that daring
October 25, 2006 at 10:24 am
He’s wearing an APC girls’ coat! from last season – I know because I have the same one but my evil drycleaner didn’t cover the leather frogs before cleaning and now they’re all screwed and brittle and falling apart. APC wouldn’t help me repair the coat, even though I was prepared to pay whatever it took. I guess you buy a 500 dollar coat – you get shitty 500 dollar service…not cool APC.
October 25, 2006 at 11:03 am
She’s adorable, without her, i dont know that he’d be so interesting to look at. but they compliment each other well.
October 25, 2006 at 12:47 pm
sorry. his jeans aren’t cheap monday and his shoes aren’t payless.
tsubi and common projects.
October 25, 2006 at 3:24 pm
i have that same bag. i got it for $10 on sale at urban outfitters. except im a girl.
October 25, 2006 at 4:12 pm
Is she wearing white gloves? How fabulous. Love the color combo. Love her hair pulled back and the gaze in her eyes. A confident young woman.
October 25, 2006 at 6:48 pm
who cares if the jeans or shoes are cheap or not?!Style is not about the brand specially when telling what is it is so difficult…It is the whole rather than the parts.
October 25, 2006 at 6:56 pm
i’ve seen him at seven on mercer. he’s got a freckle/mole on his cheekbone…very cute!
October 25, 2006 at 7:12 pm
Dear Anonymous with the APC/ leather-frog problem,I feel for you. I had a similar thing happen to me once. I took my coat to a cobbler who sewed on new bits of leather– it was not the same but it really was not bad at all. in fact i began thinking that the slightly flawed home-made look of the repair job made my whole ensemble way cooler and more interesting than before. there’s a cobbler on atlantic avenue that is not bad at all. very cheap too.
October 26, 2006 at 12:51 am
sadly, his bag isn’t urban outfitters. it’s dunlin and it is $575 at opening ceremony.
October 26, 2006 at 12:58 pm
Someone please tell me what that coat is. It looks so Burberry but I really don’t think it is.
October 26, 2006 at 1:31 pm
I love her shoes..I love this picture, it’s like indie love or something.
bon chic bon genre!
October 27, 2006 at 12:55 am
Maybe I’ve been amused by a dashing pair of bright red flats lately or maybe something else caught my eye in this one. I love everything about it. Including the fact that I need a bright pair of red flats..now.
October 27, 2006 at 12:10 pm
I DO need a pair of bright red flats.
I adore the look. Very indie-chic of the both of them. I can’t take my eyes off her coat/tights/shoe combo. Stunning. I want to be this girl.
October 28, 2006 at 1:31 pm
I love her red shoes…&& that coat…
October 30, 2006 at 6:44 am
His sneakers are definitely Common Projects.
October 30, 2006 at 12:36 pm

October 31, 2006 at 1:21 pm

November 1, 2006 at 5:27 pm

November 1, 2006 at 10:28 pm
i do believe his coat is a women’s coat, which makes him all the more interesting.
November 6, 2006 at 11:12 am

They are adorable. The hair really makes this guy stand out, and he knows it too! Look at his sly smile. And her shoes are perfect. Its amazing how much better the quality of posts has become on this blog over the years.
