I like the skirt and the shoes.
But I really like the mobile – to – tablet evolution more.

i love the colour scheme! :)

The color scheme is what caught my attention as well. The powder blue with the oxblood-esque socks work great together. My feeling about this woman is that she was conflicted about being photographed…as though she was flattered but also perturbed to have her daily routine disrupted.

great colors here. enough to stand out but not overpowering.

This photo is amazing !
I love the colours and she looks so chic.
October 19, 2012 at 9:32 am
Amazing color combination and great hair! The bike nearby could also be a part of the picture!
October 19, 2012 at 9:33 am
Love the yummy candy palette.
October 19, 2012 at 9:35 am
She is soooo cool. It’s funny to imagine the reactions to a look like this in places like Miami or LA.
Luckily style has not (completely) globalized yet…

Such a classic/vintage look. I like everything, especially the quilted shoulder bag…
October 19, 2012 at 9:50 am
is that your shadow? love the powdery blue of the skirt.
October 19, 2012 at 9:52 am
This kind of attention to the frame and way in which you are using texture to flatten the picture plane and then color to break it up is why I like to visit this site. –An excellent, deceptively complex photograph disguised as a simple observation on style. So good.
October 19, 2012 at 10:56 am
I’m impressed by your comment ! Are you a photograph yourself ?
October 20, 2012 at 10:02 am
My new mantra!… I am a photograph.
October 19, 2012 at 12:24 pm
Your comment is quite astute.

October 19, 2012 at 10:06 am
Wonderful, sunny photo. She looks lovely. I really love the blouse. In fact, the entire outfit is a delight. However, I can never get in to socks and shoes on a grown woman. Although, she has managed to make it look good.
October 19, 2012 at 11:53 am
I agree, Tonia. The socks+shoes with a dress thing usually strikes me as a bit creepy and Lolita-ish (or just plain unflattering) but for this woman, and this outfit, it kinda works. Photo is stunning, as usual.
October 19, 2012 at 12:27 pm
Ah, yes, that’s it – the Lolita image ! I couldn’t properly articulate what it was that was creeping me out about this look.
October 19, 2012 at 10:10 am
I’d love to know where the shirt came from? Is it a religious print that I see or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
October 19, 2012 at 1:09 pm

October 19, 2012 at 10:30 am
such an eclectic look!
October 19, 2012 at 10:36 am
Love the splash of different colours, all blending in surprisingly well for a spectacular overall look! The printed shirt matches everything!!
October 19, 2012 at 10:37 am
great outfit I love her blouse and skirt, but I would not have the socks. Great Shot!
October 19, 2012 at 10:38 am
Beautiful outfit! I love the sweet color palette and retro styling. The tooled leather bag is a cool incongruous touch.
October 19, 2012 at 10:46 am
All outfit is amazing. I love the shoes and shirt.
The socks with heels that are all over the place are killing me. Vintage clothes with IPad!
October 19, 2012 at 10:49 am
I love this outfit. She is so chic from head to toe.
October 19, 2012 at 1:44 pm
Agree, I love absolutely everything in this outfit! And the colour combination is perfect for a transition from summer to autumn.

Yeah, again, socks with heels… :S

October 19, 2012 at 12:02 pm
It must be vintage, I love it!
Exquisite tooling on the handbag.
October 19, 2012 at 12:06 pm
You nailed again! Colors and light meld together honoring this moment!
October 19, 2012 at 12:16 pm
Ohhh I’m in love!!
October 19, 2012 at 12:17 pm
The colour palette is planned to a tee.
Liking the ensemble, though would not look good on me. The bag looks “couchy” and comfy and as it is a Friday evening, I would love to use it as a pillow..or just basically hold my head close to it.
October 19, 2012 at 12:26 pm
Great photo, the light is beautiful!

such a beautiful balance between “the old” and “the new”. the light looks extraordinary, too.
October 19, 2012 at 1:18 pm
Love the fifties inspired outfit!
And the color of the skirt is just marvelous!

this is SOOOO my look…Love it in every way. Totally inspiring on rainy NY day!
October 19, 2012 at 1:45 pm
I love this. I think I’d want the top half to look slimmer, maybe a more fitted or knit top. Those shoes! Those socks! That blue skirt!
October 19, 2012 at 1:54 pm
Awesome, as usual! love her skirt.
October 19, 2012 at 1:59 pm
she’s very pretty and so cool!

October 19, 2012 at 2:22 pm

October 19, 2012 at 4:46 pm
Love this photo!!
October 19, 2012 at 4:49 pm
Interesting angle and light.
Surrounded by shadows with no source, she stands out without one, like a cut out.
About the outfit, nice colour /texture scheme, but the proportions are off and the socks are the main balance breakers.
October 19, 2012 at 5:05 pm
Really cute style. Love ankle socks with nice heels
October 19, 2012 at 5:11 pm
Did you and Garance tag team this poor woman?
Her moment on the red carpet with flashbulbs popping.
October 20, 2012 at 8:47 am
ABG touched on iy with that “Ave Maria” comment, but let me just say that it is refreshing to see a woman wearing a blouse with a religious theme–The Blessed Virgin Mary. I haven’t seen that in the States and I don’t expect to, any time soon. Shame that.

I really love everything about this. The colors, the shoes, the blouse, the shades. I want to be her when I grow up.
October 20, 2012 at 10:37 pm
She looks awesome and super modest too!

Is that your shadow?
October 21, 2012 at 11:15 am
She looks like singer, Russian Red. Great style.
October 21, 2012 at 12:42 pm
I am sure this girl in not milanese, nor italian. I live in Milan and I can guarantee it’s very, extremely rare to observe such perfect and tasteful style!
October 22, 2012 at 6:42 pm
anyone know where these sunglasses are from?
October 23, 2012 at 4:00 pm
russian red, isn’t she?
October 23, 2012 at 5:11 pm
I really like the soft textures that she is wearing and the depth in texture of her purse… I think the entire outfit is based on its consistency. Its beautiful.
October 26, 2012 at 1:17 pm
