You wouldn’t necessarily look twice at this guy’s dress, but it’s full of pleasing detail, including the almost-monochromatic palette. Like the well-fitting “grown-up” sack suit too….
This is a nice example of a young man doing a modern take on an classic style. The suit gives us the feel of the fifties, without resorting to the cartoonish Thom Browne look. What where the pants like? I imagine they must have come down to the top of the shoe with the very subtlest break. It’s funny – an inch or two is all it takes to travel from gentleman to buffoon.
I hate using the word cute for a man, but this is a really cute suit, what with the double pockets and the soft, natural shoulders and all. Ack, I’m sorry, suit guy, you are so cute. This is not a bad thing.
Kinda mussed hair, but classic grey suit: nice pairing. I agree he should have shot the cuffs, but also that he’s just cute as a bug. God, I love New York.
I spent a while looking at this one but nothing caught my eye. After reading the comments, I’ve realized it’s the soft shoulders that make this slightly different. With that in mind, I want to say it’s a Paul Stuart suit, but I could easily be wrong.
Still, a shorter jacket sleeve and a slightly narrower body might have been nice.
wow! what a cute hunk. the face looks great, and i wish his suit was just a bit more tailored to show off his beautiful body (i’m assuming he has one). would like to see some cuff on the shirt. i think you should post a full frontal so we can see the pants! :-)
He’s very cute but dressed very drab. Too correct, safe. Well I guess that may be a good thing but in terms of style I would add a maroon color wool scarf and cognac colored leather gloves and he wouldn’t look that dull anymore actually hot!
He looks really, really good. And I’ve no quarrel about his personal style. I think diversity is very important anywhere–not everyone has the temperament or inclination to wear more fashion-forward clothing. Besides, I think he makes a good job of showing that a traditional American sack suit can still look relevant.
i saw this pic of him , and though he doesnt possess yer atypical male model vibe look, he has this certain aura about him that made me gush * so adorable *
RE: “…not a hint of boring…” No – it SCREAMS boring. Goddd, that would even be acceptable here in Washington DC. Jacket is too large or not tailored well; no cuff showing; and he needs a haircut. Sorry…
poor fit
3 buttons don’t particularly help him
lacking cuff
on the upside,
his tie looks lie a wool tie, interesting texture
classic/ clean combination
pants suit the outfit (proper proportion, not too slim for the blazer)

I don’t know why, but my heart fluttered when I saw this picture. Who know a beautiful man in a beautiful suit could do that to a girl.

A rare juxtaposition of wholesome good looks and of-the-moment style.

There is something missing in his outfit.
show cuff, pocket square, a little style of all that hair…something.
Nothing against classic, but this is just “normal”. Not more not less.
Buy him a nice understated, yet colorful, scarf and he has my vote.

The jacket just needs to be taken in a little on the waist. Everything else is perfect. Great Ceasar style haircut.

My heart fluttered, too. Partly because he’s so casual and relaxed about his look and mostly because this is one look my husband would actually wear….
