Beautiful shots! Love the boots, the gold tipped oxfords and colorful pants.
October 6, 2012 at 10:33 am
I totally agree with you :)
Great classic denim in the first shot, which is beautiful. And Im all about those patterned cropped pants and high colourful socks in the last.

1) Fashion is about taking risks … to me, this doesn’t work, between the straggly hair, faded denims, paired with gorgeous necklace, bag, and coat … I like each piece individually, but not how they all came together.
2) Shoe porn!
3) Beautiful simple coat on a pretty woman. I suggest layers in her hair, though ….
4) Bold combo of patterns …. this can be so tricky but she pulls it off. THAT BAG!
5) These pants are insane. As are the socks with the cool front-to-back colour blocking. And the shoes! More porn.

I love the printed pant trend going on,
but I have to say – the first look is stunning!
The double denim teamed with a blue coat looks perfect, especially with that necklace!

The first shot is so timelessly Paris.. it could be from any year, starting in the 70s! Also, I need you to cut off the hair on the third girl and give it to me. Love.

So much to look at ! Either I like it or not is unimportant, this is a feast for my monotonous, south floridian life(sans)style.
I must say, I learned so much about designers thanks to all the very knowledgeable comments. Thank you all !

It feels like the trends at Fashion Week this year have been bouncing back and forth between quiet, sophisticated minimalism, and loud, attention-grabbing, almost gauche. The patterned pant with color-blocked sock is obviously the latter, but it works somehow…
October 5, 2012 at 1:15 pm
These photos are a proof that no matter how hard you try, how many trends you put on yourself, in the end nothing beats the natural beauty + simple outfit. Obviously I have the lady in the light-colored coat in mind.
October 5, 2012 at 2:05 pm

Just looking at the last two photographs, I wish I could tease out why the second to last one works and the last one doesn’t — at least for me. They’re very similar in terms of busy, vibrant colors, but the lady sitting down seems to connect the busyness. Her coat acts almost as a blanket to hold the wildness down a bit, where the pants on the bottom pic are fairly awesome but then the socks throws it off. Is there a way to match clashing? If so, that’s what the second to last pic does where the last pic just clashes. And I know, clashing is fashionable these days, yada yada, but not in this case… On second thought, maybe it’s the shoes I don’t like. Too plastic looking?
I wish my fashion vocabulary was broader so I could actually express these instinctual impressions/thoughts.
And a side note: the girl with the umbrella is just too hot it’s not even fair. Great shot. Sexier than anything you’d find in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

I adore the first outfit. Denim on denim is not a bad thing, and there’s proof!
October 5, 2012 at 4:59 pm
seems that fashion is reliving my days of 7th & 8th grade. so if we stay on track then the cowboy bootie & cowboy boot mule should be returning in about 18 months
October 5, 2012 at 5:18 pm
Print pants are the future! lol

Love it all. I love the first one, because denim with denim is always good. Great shoes in the second one. Pretty simple white coat. The best is those great patterned slacks everyone seems to have gotten lately. The blue coat is marvelous. The last one…I don’t know….but its pretty cool anyway!
