Ahh, this may be one of, if not the greatest pictures that you’ve ever taken. Where does this youngster reside? Kingston, the DR? I love the way the dark, worn look of this suit plays against the tropical background. The confidence. The no-nonsense look in his eyes. Excuse me, I’ve got to run to the store for more Red Stripe and Tops papers.
Sartorial RAAAASTA- MAN!!! Clearly a very confident man who is very comfortable in his own skin therefore the unusual and interesting combination of style here.
this is unbelievable, superb, outstanding. what a DUDE! you should make this guy a regular in your blog, i would love to see what he comes up with on a regular basis.
Amazing hair, and most of all I admire the flair wit which he carries the combination off. For some reason, he looks to me like he was going to Sunday church.
nice postcolonial edge too. one one hand, the oppressor-man ticket pocket and suit vest look. on the other, the hair and skin tone. all put together with the hat, the locale, the calm peaceful expression.
ABSOLUTE GENIUS! SART, IT IS THE BEST PHOTO EVER TAKEN…EVER! AND THE SUBJECT HAS TO BE THE GREATEST PHOTOGRAPHIC SUBJECT THAT HAS EVER GRACED A PHOTOG’S LENS! OH. MY. GOD!
Come on people, it’s a suit with a dread-locked man inside. Please.
I’m in love with this picture – you’d never expect consistency with such a mix of styles and here – voila – is a mature man with dreadlocks and in a 3-piece suit. This is Style.
Never mind the dreadlocks and tropics, this suite is sublime. Put that in any one else and the effect would be similar, except that person would not have this gentleman’s personality, which undoubtedly helps. The jaket is thee perfect fit, the colour of the suite, the shirt and tie and the extra-pocket on that jacket! I love it. Mesmerisingly brilliant Sart, love it!
Yeah the dude is, undoubtedly……A DUDE !!, but im just not totally sold on the hat
everything else….perfect……and that suit is beautiful, i like it almost as much as that shot of the older japanese gent in the lightweight single breasted chalk stripe number you shot in milan
the hat just has a touch of the ‘old lady at Ascot’ look about it
(yeah im nitpicking, but….its because i love everything else about his style so much that this one aspect grates on me)

This is my favorite of all your photographs. He’s so handsome, and just has a peaceful demeanor. He reminds me of my uncles.

Life is short but fashion is…in the air itself. Or do I mean style?
I COULD say that here we have a mind-bending genre-mix (or have I just?), but instead I’ll just sit back and…enjoy.

Love it, but I’m not so sure it’s a tropical location. He’s holding gloves and it looks like a conifer growing behind him.

I’m partial to dreadlocks so OF COURSE I think he looks like a “stunna”!
BTW, just an observation @ 11:05, who says he’s a Rasta? The two don’t go hand in hand.
(Dismounts soapbox to gaze at the distinguished dreadlock dandy…)
