This may be case in which one would profitably work to diminish the sense of lean and long, rather than to emphasize it via slimmest cut, not to mention ground-grazing doggy!

I can’t shake the feeling that this guy has some serious tension in his neck, with his shoulder blades hunched up around his ears … mostly it’s the bird’s nest scarf, but the tight, short jeans contribute too.

Nice jacket. Nice coat on the dog as well.

With aviators and a gauloise instead of the pup, he’d be even hotter, no?

i wish i looked this good while walking my dogs — i’m lucky if i get out the door wearing two shoes that match and something to disguise the fact that i’m a nightgown. but i do have the same bag.

This does not look like the same guy…at all. This most recent pic is utterly tasty.

He likes the “Big on Top” look, I see. However, I’m not sure it’s the best on him. For example, for today’s look I would’ve liked to see a knit with a slightly smaller gauge so that he didn’t appear so bulky (for both outfits, it’s like he’s trying to convince me that he’s not skinny from top to bottom when he obviously is.)

Re the update, first, happy to see that the dog has maintained its classic look.

Still not overly enthusiastic about the guy, however; pants are droopy and the bulging pockets on the top, which falls near the waist, do nothing for the line…..

Love the first shot. Everything is slim boy perfection. That dog is a fabulous accessory, hope they are best friends.

Hmm Sart, I can’t agree with you about the consistency, except for the emphasis on the long and lean line. And the doggy!

In the new photo, he looks much softer: more refined and feminine. In the old, he’s showing his more masculine and rough side. They seem like different people to me.

He looks good both ways though.

I am totaly digging his new and improved look. So much more “relaxed” than before and really stylish.

His new look solves his ‘neck tension’ image that was bothering me in the first shot.

Heck, even his haircut is more youthful. Total upgrade.

Like the guy’s look when he is in the masculine jeans look but not so much in the other ensemble–he looks rather uncomfortable and not as confident.

He looks better in the most recent photo, much less stiff and cliche.

The green sweater in the first picture is YSL. i have the same one in black!

I love how he wears his with all the buttons buttoned up and the collar flipped down, opposed to the traditional one or two buttons.

I don’t see any consistency in the two outfits. Unless you want to include the dog and then that’s it.

It’s eery how his stanse is identical in both photos, the proportions are the same despite… tight jeans vs. loose trousers. The short jacket/sweater.
These CONSISTENT YET DIFFERENT looks are probably the reason Christopher Niquet is such a great stylist.

I love how he is able to wear two completely different looks and yet maintain his own style. I think that is what’s meant by consistency and the dachshund is the perfect accessory.

it’s christopher niquet :) he was a contributor to january’s issue of elle and he was lookin’ goooood in his pic, but judging from the above photos hes always lookin’ good. i think perhaps some negative nancys are jealous that his cheekbones could cut glass…

What to wear whilst walking the pooch is always a fashion dilemma. It is hard to look truly chic when carrying…a poop bag dispenser. Louis Vuitton just doesn’t make them.
