I love this style of photo! Immediately draws your attention to the clothing. However, I can’t see the coat, I’m too busy liking those shoes and wanting a profile view of them!!

pardon my ignorance, but did the trench come with the belt? if not, i don’t think i’d have belted it. i’m not sure that’s a great look with a puffy coat.
really like the shoes, the pop of blue turtleneck underneath, and the length of skirt showing under that coat is sublime.

Yes, yes, yes, it’s all about that coat for me! What’s funny is that you get the sense that she’s got a quiet confidence about, just from the way she’s posed, even though you cannot see her face. Fascinating.

Awww, I would’ve loved to see her face.

I would have belted it but used a different belt.
And I don’t like seeing hems go below jackets. Is that just me? Perhaps I like to walk around looking like a streaker.

i am afraid, but she looks to me all bulky, like she was wearing dozens of jumpers underneath, and the fur looks quite battered …sorry cannot share the enthusiasm.

I really like her stance, but even with the belt, I think she still looks blocky.

i came this close to ordering this coat from net-a-porter and changed my mind. see it here makes me wish i hadn’t. i’m probably too, shall we say, “mature” for it, so i suppose there’s no regrets — except about the being too mature part. sigh.

A rare occurrence of a non-Sta-Puft-Marshmallow-Man quilted jacket appearance. The proportions are perfect.

Great coat. Great shoes. No to the belt. A thousand times YES to your website!

what lovely ankles. i’d be a stumpy midget in those shoes.

Who cares about the trench and belt (well played, though).
My god, those are nice legs punctuated by marvelous shoes.

I think the belt on this coat is an afterthought. It looks out of place. Almost uncomfortable.
At least it doesn’t have the Burberry plaid advertising for the piece.

The shoes make it.

excellent theory. poor execution.

Wow, good for her with the bare legs. That is committed to fashion.
Looks great – great pic, too.
December 13, 2006 at 7:38 pm
hmm…very playful look with regard to the stance.

They say it takes confidence to wear body-hugging clothes. I sorta disagree –it takes a lot of WORK, maybe, but not necessarily confidence. I think it’s MUCH more ballsy to wear something puffy like this coat, where the real body shape is hidden and thus, god-forbid, might be somewhat rotund. Aesthetically, I think it creates a very interesting silhouette –playful and eggy!

Beautiful! I could have done with a different color sweater but that’s just being nit-picky.

i like the belt-over-coat look in general, but i feel it’s always an editorial technique to make the coat look better (because we all know that nuances make the outfit). to do it in everyday life though, seem impractical me. Isn’t it rather cumbersome to have to remove this belt everytime you go indoors? And if you’re at a cafe, say, i guess you’d sling that belt over your coat on the chair– unless your coat came with beltloops? What if it slips off the chair and you’d have to pick it up? How troublesome and awkward! So okay, it might work in non-editorial, real life cases, but on this woman the look’s kind of contrived, in my opinion..

The bare legs contradicts the coat, temperature wise.

Nice pic. Unusual in a way that this dame is not toting a bag of some sorts.

The Shoes are actually Kate Spade Wedges

I just don’t like bare legs with a bundled-up coat. If she had on heathery blue/grey tights (light-weight) I would love this outfit.
December 17, 2006 at 4:15 am
She has an absolutely sexy and chic attitude…
