Interesting pants, love the color and style!

yes, although it does remind of archaeologists digging for artefacts. That’s what I think of when I see this.
September 10, 2012 at 3:10 pm
interesting style for pants. love the color
September 10, 2012 at 3:18 pm
Urban monk! Nice detail in the pockets.

This is one of those shots I probably would’ve have looked twice at on the street. But on further inspection I like how he took, possibly otherwise ill-looking cargos and made them interesting. This is one of those subtle times when fashion has reason.
September 10, 2012 at 3:41 pm
looks like walter baker!
September 10, 2012 at 3:44 pm
so elegant…with a pair of flip flops!
September 10, 2012 at 3:51 pm
Love those pants!
September 10, 2012 at 3:53 pm
Aaack! I absolutely love his pants with the studded pocket flaps, and I love the way he’s got them hiked up like that. This is truly awesome, and so simple. Great shot!

Today i finally found Closer after looking for it for several weeks. You’re my daily inspiration :)
September 10, 2012 at 4:17 pm
Fesh and cool!
September 10, 2012 at 4:26 pm
Going to the tailor with an old pair of A&F cargos tomorrow with this picture. way ingenious.
September 10, 2012 at 4:55 pm
You know…I actually kind of like that. It shouldn’t work and yet it does. A big, loose white shirt is hard to mess up on a masculine man. I’d have a drink with him. :)
September 10, 2012 at 4:58 pm
I want those pants right now- love them. The shirt and bag are perfect with them. He looks so comfortable and chic. Love the shadow of he leaves on he sidewalk.

Could you ask this man if he would marry me?? :-) I’m in Ireland….
Love your photos, I’m buying your book
September 10, 2012 at 5:14 pm
I really like the neckless white shirt. It’s pretty cool!
September 10, 2012 at 5:41 pm
NO! flip flops in the city is just nasty.
September 10, 2012 at 5:53 pm
It’s different, but doesn’t do it for me once you get below the knee… Flip flops just aren’t a good look for men unless they’re at the beach. The extra short hem on the pants are for clam digging not fashion IMO.
September 11, 2012 at 5:53 pm
I doubt he is on his way to a job interview.
I suspect he would prefer to be barefoot, but wore flipflops to protect the soles of his (immaculate) feet.
Rolling or hiking up pants to expose your ankles is very cooling on a hot day.
I see clean, fresh, comfortable, appropriate.
Few men look this good on their best day!
September 10, 2012 at 6:01 pm
Fabulous. Casual chic at its best
September 10, 2012 at 6:17 pm
Interesting pants with the white shirt and a kaki green bag. I would wear everything myself (minus the flip flops) and I’m a woman !
I have a distinct liking of men’s clothes, especially linen.
September 10, 2012 at 8:28 pm
I like the shirt. Not so keen on the pants. Then I got to the flip-flops and it was over. There’s no beach in sight. Any shoe but those!
September 10, 2012 at 8:29 pm
Simple, fresh, cool and easy. More being a man of a certain age.

I agree–the ruched pants are fresh and interesting, but they have a simplicity and quiet dignity that befit his overall persona. And in response to the flip-flop scolds I’d say that with this outfit, his shoes are just right.
September 13, 2012 at 5:11 pm
Flip-flops worn by men beyond the borders of a beach or a pool, or one’s bathroom, are never appropriate. That is a well known law of physics – Newton’s First law of Footwear for Efficient Motion – and style. There is no reason to wear them whatsoever, dynamic or stylistic. A pair of simple loafers, boatshoes, mocassins is just as easy to get into and out of and makes for brisker and more comfortable walking and running.

Oh, please. Get over the flip flop condemnation. One of the best things about dressing, is fun. And warmer months are a great opportunity to really relax your look.
Yes, while I agree that wearing thongs (as we call them in Australia – not to be confused with underwear) in the city can lead to slightly grubby toes at the end of the day. But what the hell. Live a little.

When you have those shoulders and those arms, why hide them?
September 11, 2012 at 2:09 am
What a cool, simple shot! The man looks so innocent and busy on his own! I love his white shirt. Fits him well with that side pocket funny designed trouser!
September 11, 2012 at 2:48 am
He looks so modern, simple and he’s got stylish pants. Love that fact!
September 11, 2012 at 2:52 am
He is very serious, but all the same, he is looking good.
September 11, 2012 at 3:08 am
Perfect combo – studs and cargos!

Those strides are amazing. I am also on the list of people who need them right now!
September 11, 2012 at 4:32 am
LOve his pants!
September 11, 2012 at 12:16 pm

September 11, 2012 at 12:27 pm
In the running for the “Ugliest pants Ever” award.
September 11, 2012 at 7:49 pm
love de style & the man. “Can I marry him?”
September 12, 2012 at 9:55 am
Good style, nice pants, original cut, like always, love your men shots. And I’m a big fan of flip flop, only if they’re not too “big” ; I like how they show the skin and the structure of the foot/leg, team flip flop.
September 12, 2012 at 10:00 am
Perfection. Epitome of casual cool without even a hint of trying to hard.
September 12, 2012 at 12:33 pm
Those pants look like Mason’s. Italian, best pants in the world, for celebrities and athletes, business people, etc. wish I could afford them!
September 13, 2012 at 12:16 am
White and khaki always looks so fresh.
September 13, 2012 at 8:06 pm
this appears to be the same dude who got so many comments on the patterned shorts and casual shirt and again in another photo with the bright blue bathrobe type jacket whilst in Milan. Which would explain the Mason comment above.
September 15, 2012 at 5:17 pm
thanks for sharing this shot!!! love that idea
November 11, 2012 at 6:00 pm
Although I understand flip flops is part of the ‘charm’/'style’/groove of his look: No matter what the person wears on top, wearing flip flops (especially a man) publicly can never be considered fashion and much less worth taking a picture of.

Who now name this man?
