Love the whole look but the best item she has on is by far those ridiculously fabulous lucite wedge heels….pure fashion!
September 9, 2012 at 1:49 am
Agreed! Although I am also in love with her sunnies.
September 8, 2012 at 9:11 am
Her shoes anyone know where there from?!
September 27, 2012 at 4:21 pm
The shoes are Pollini by Nicholas Kirkwood
September 8, 2012 at 9:15 am
I am obcessed with her shoes!!
September 8, 2012 at 9:16 am
She is rocking that tee and lace-up skirt!
September 8, 2012 at 9:18 am
Amazing: young, fresh, retro, contemporary.
September 8, 2012 at 9:22 am
Because rules are there to break?
September 8, 2012 at 9:23 am
Perfect. Beautiful capture and processing.
September 8, 2012 at 9:25 am
Peculiar group, dazzling skirt, but the style of the people in the right and the left is a bit… don’t know.
Could be a back to the eighties?
Love her colourful dress
loooooooooooove the skirt!!!
September 8, 2012 at 9:37 am
Well what a fashionable corner! I love that she’s pulling off that skirt.
September 8, 2012 at 9:58 am
the colors in that skirt are amazing and the T shirt with the ripped collar is cool too
Insane! freaky chick
September 8, 2012 at 10:01 am
Love how she stands out (apart from the obvious) in this picture! Gorgeous!

She is so fab, I love everything about her outfit. Great PIC!
September 8, 2012 at 10:03 am
I love everything in her style! So beautiful, great shot!
September 8, 2012 at 10:13 am
gasp! is this the founder of Nasty Gal?! she looks so rad
September 8, 2012 at 11:17 pm
Yes it is! I was wondering if anyone else would recognize her – Sophia Amoruso.
September 16, 2012 at 6:06 pm
You two eagle-eye Annies deserve credit. Ms. Amoruso looks completely different in each and every image I have e~v~e~r seen of her!
She’s one of those facial ‘shape-shifter’-types.
This moment in time..immortalised forevermore is a gem.
September 8, 2012 at 10:18 am
oh, I wish I was her for this one day :)
September 8, 2012 at 10:23 am
that’s just awesome! I love the Starbucks! perfect accessory!
September 8, 2012 at 3:34 pm
Yeah, her nails match her skirt AND the straw!
If they didn’t have Starbucks in hand I’d think this was 1986. Great retro vibe.
September 8, 2012 at 10:41 am
great look – the whole outfit shows imagination and original style.
September 8, 2012 at 10:45 am
Her shades look to be Ilesteva. I’ve always had a penchant for the details, so that ripped tee isn’t as pleasing to my eye as the contrast between her mani and red clutch. Martha’s “fishing out” of the lucite wedges is also a great addition. True and honest style here.
September 8, 2012 at 10:47 am
wow she wears amazing shoes ! great shot !

Wow, that skirt is quite something!

Such an interesting outfit-love each item, but altogether-wow! Is the skirt vintage? (I used to have a similar style.)
September 8, 2012 at 11:01 am
I love all the people in this picture, the two people who are not in focus are actually my favorite. But the whole shot tells me about youth, fashion and color. I LOVE this.
Oh, play it louder!!
September 8, 2012 at 11:14 am
Heels + skirt = perfect!

September 8, 2012 at 11:31 am
Agree with CultureShockArt- i lived in NYC from 1987-1990, (worked for fashion mags) and they could have just as easily been standing on the corner of 8th St. & 5th Avenue across from the old Patricia Field store! Sans Starbucks, of course (we could establish a style timeline according to the absence or addition of Starbucks cups in fashion photos:
Also, she looks a tiny bit like Selma Blair.

Fabulously fun. How on earth did you blur the front two?
September 8, 2012 at 12:41 pm
i would wear everything this young woman is wearing and I’m much older than she is and her shoes are fabulous, she looks like she is standing on air.
Also, the tortoise sunglasses and the bowler hat on the left are fabulous. Hats seems to be coming back in fashion. Great !

I adore her outfit. The full colorful skirt with graphic black tee is genious. I love this picture!!!!!
Rocker chic meets Victorian maid meets diva. What an out of the box ensemble! Love that stripey and flirty print on the skirt.
September 8, 2012 at 3:59 pm
I can’t stop staring at her. what an utterly fantastic and capttivating look. so much personality!
September 8, 2012 at 4:32 pm
She is fabulous!
September 8, 2012 at 4:37 pm
looks like a dark mash-up of Boy George, and ska then next to him, a mash up of Patti Smith, Cyndi Lauper, and “multi-culti”. not mad at any of that.
September 8, 2012 at 5:22 pm
A group of alternative cool people, love this!
September 8, 2012 at 6:02 pm

September 8, 2012 at 6:43 pm
Fashion is about attitude and this girl has it. Just in the way she stands and what her clothes say about her. But her shoes, love them.
September 8, 2012 at 7:45 pm
I love how you photograph the beauty of everyone’s individualistic style! There are countless times I enjoy looking at people’s outfits even if it is not my style at all, its just an incredible thing!
September 8, 2012 at 7:58 pm
This is the post-modern world.
September 9, 2012 at 2:54 am
With all post-mod cons?

September 9, 2012 at 11:30 pm
Not the moment for that. In some five years it could be cool, but now , and, just according to me. it’s a bit vulgar.
Of course I’m not the boss of the trends. I’m a cititizen of a little town in the top north of Spain ,but NY trends does NOT impress me, as I’m a bit of a Sartorialist.
That’s a no-no.
September 8, 2012 at 10:21 pm
Beyond! LOVE it. Makes those runway pics look so boring – goes to show there’s no such thing as ‘fashion’ any more only great style.
September 9, 2012 at 3:38 am
I really like this photo, the more I look at it, the more I see….
September 9, 2012 at 4:27 am
This is why I love New York (and London for that matter) – you can just be yourself and relax about it. More formal cities like Milan & Paris don’t really allow for these kind of looks!
September 9, 2012 at 7:36 am
September 9, 2012 at 8:42 am
Love her shoes!
September 9, 2012 at 9:20 am
Yeah the clothes are great, it takes me back to my childhood. What is the BEST is her hair style and rad sunglasses….
September 9, 2012 at 9:39 am
WOUAH! i love it!
September 9, 2012 at 10:30 am
Though not my cup of tea, a well thought out outfit. And it suits her.

September 9, 2012 at 3:31 pm
Very nice skirt length, so feminine and grown up.
September 9, 2012 at 6:21 pm
Wow! Now that is a “LOOK”, Lovin’ it. Colorful yet a bit dark at the same time. I dig how her glasses match her t-shirt and her nails match her dress and even the Starbuck’s Straw! Real nice picture too, I can feel the vibe from way over here! Thnks

She rocks!!! Sophia Amoruso kick asses with that nasty awesome style!!
September 10, 2012 at 2:37 am
That’s a classic snapshot. I love the dress; the colors blend just fine.
September 10, 2012 at 3:00 am
That’s the cool thing about living in NYC…seeing people like this walking in the streets!
September 10, 2012 at 4:42 am
love the colors on this photo!
September 10, 2012 at 5:05 am
They are looking good to go, life is too short and some rules have to be broken. We should make the most out of life and live it to our maximum because we only have one life.
September 10, 2012 at 7:41 pm
I love her shoes! I love her green straw. But then I love all three of the people in front! Whatever that is they are drinking looks like its really refreshing. i want some. Is it ice tea?
September 11, 2012 at 10:59 pm
She looks amazing!! I recognize that skirt from Golyester Vintage in LA.
September 12, 2012 at 4:27 pm
She looks great! And that photograph is so interesting. I can imagine focusing on the first guy in the shorts and tank top, then seeing the second guy and focusing on him, and then finding her. I think there are elements from their outfits that work coherently to make this composition even more amazing.
September 12, 2012 at 4:28 pm
Actually, is the second person a girl?
September 15, 2012 at 9:00 pm
does anyone know where i could buy the skirt? thanks
September 16, 2012 at 6:10 pm
There’s just no way that isn’t vintage.
‘Sally Anne’ or Goodwill.
September 24, 2012 at 5:15 pm
She owns http://www.nastygal.com – i would try looking on their site for simlar styles.
November 7, 2012 at 2:54 am
Love the skirt and shoe.
