Yeah, yeah, wicked looks!
I feel like I’m back in highschool.
August 23, 2012 at 1:51 am
Agreed! Rocking the sneaker trend!
August 22, 2012 at 4:06 pm
The early 90s have been in full effect all summer in NYC, it’s starting to taper down just a bit..
August 22, 2012 at 4:11 pm
these dudes look like they are running late to a zapp and roger concert…… obsessed. rock on.
i support all 90′s throw back looks. forever.
August 22, 2012 at 4:15 pm
Bringing back the 90′s, I see. However, the 90′s need to stay where they belong…in the past.
August 22, 2012 at 4:17 pm
They look so cool man ! x
August 22, 2012 at 4:25 pm

That’s what’s up!!! The oh not so long ago early 90s were still coming out of social segregation. There were more cross-overs (having nothing to do with cars) and what we called multi-culti but the high-top fade that kid is wearing was a big part of what was -”is black, is black, is black” Ah yeah! good stuff especially the multi culti! Thank you Conscious Hip Hop! I look forward to seeing more of this and leather medallions!
August 22, 2012 at 5:08 pm
leather medallions… of Africa!
Is it just me, or did the one on the left sneak in this photo? Love the new 90′s look on the fellow on the right
August 23, 2012 at 7:33 am
that’s exactly what I just thought! I do like the shirt of the boy on the right. really funky pattern.
Oh, play it louder!!
August 22, 2012 at 4:55 pm
SO COOL! This shirt on the left is all I always dream to wear. Perfect.
August 22, 2012 at 5:15 pm
I like the look on the left (are those Converse sneakers ?) but I love the shirt on the right. What I really dislike are the high tops on the right because this young man’s legs are thin compared to the shoes.
Maybe a lighter high top Converse ?
August 22, 2012 at 5:19 pm
I’m definitely loving these looks. Also loving that beaded necklace!
August 22, 2012 at 5:22 pm
I love the wood pearls of his necklace and the print of his shirt
August 23, 2012 at 9:55 am
and I love that a young man will wear a big beaded necklace
August 22, 2012 at 5:27 pm
Seriously doesn’t get cooler than this. Possibly my fave male post to date.
August 22, 2012 at 5:34 pm
Loving the style of the guy on the right!
August 22, 2012 at 5:36 pm
Old school meets new. I’m surprising myself with how much I dig this. Great moment in time captured.
August 22, 2012 at 5:41 pm
This reminds me of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air and that is awesome!
August 22, 2012 at 5:51 pm
I want to see the vibe from Do the Right Thing and Red Hook Summer on every corner. This is the best. All praise the blond high top.
August 22, 2012 at 5:53 pm
Love the Vans & Nike mix. They both look like they have a different style. I like! <3

A Mr. Kid and a Mr. Play are on line one. They claim they are from the 80′s and want their look back…
August 22, 2012 at 6:20 pm
Cool style! Especially the one on the right, love his shirt and sneakers!

Those are called “sneakers”. And these two cats are, as we used to say “dope”.
August 22, 2012 at 7:28 pm

There’s something about their attitude, that’s on point. I wholeheartedly endorse this picture.
August 22, 2012 at 8:26 pm
They are so freakin cooool! I love it!
August 22, 2012 at 8:40 pm
I’m pretty sure Theo rocked that look in The Cosby Show.

fun fabulous top!
August 22, 2012 at 11:48 pm
90s? This was also the second half of the 80s. I remember high school!
August 23, 2012 at 12:16 am
WHO is the fellow in the white t-shirt? He is a doll. Such dreamy eyes.

If I were still in my (early) teens, I’d totally be crushing on the guy on the right.

Isn’t it funny how Baby Milo seems old school already? Fashion moves fast
August 23, 2012 at 3:57 am
I really like the shirt of the guy on the left!
August 23, 2012 at 3:58 am
Loce their look. Specially the second on the right, mixing African, tribal and urban look is very what I like right now.
August 23, 2012 at 4:26 am
Totally agree with Anarchy Gallery, I thought exactly the same :D

Wow, anybody remember the Pacman-game graphics? They are here again in this wonderful shirt. And the pearls are the dots that Packman ate up when it moved in the playground. I love this.

Ensure that these are the trendsetters! About sneakers, but if necessary also useful as board… http://trescic.wordpress.com/2012/06/16/scacco-matto/

Throwback from head to toe, like it!
August 23, 2012 at 8:31 am
I’m always drawn to the facial expressions you capture… both guys look more curious than surprised, which leaves me curious! the guy on the left has major swagger, grabbing his chin. Hope to see another photo of them again soon..
August 23, 2012 at 8:35 am
Really? They look like every other trendy teenager who has run through Urban Outfitters. Very dull
August 23, 2012 at 10:00 am
I think that kid Did The Right Thing.
August 23, 2012 at 10:11 am
These young men are pure NYC “hip and swagger.” I love them!
August 23, 2012 at 10:49 am
It looks like you just insulted them and then had to snap the picture quickly and run. I love the raised eyebrows on the guy in the right, and then the way the guy is holding his chin on the left. The guy on the right’s shirt is wacky.
August 23, 2012 at 11:41 am
I’m so glad they’re not showing their underwear…
August 23, 2012 at 12:33 pm
Very cool style. Especially love the shirt print. If only i was 15 years younger, i would be rocking this look on the streets of London.
August 23, 2012 at 12:36 pm
Ummmm, am I missing something? NOTHING outstanding here. Guy on the left could be anyone in America and guy on the right did a job of looking somewhat like a throwback. Looks like he’s trying too hard though. I thought “style” was about being true to yourself, not trying to be something you’re not?

Practical example of how deep impact Pharell Williams has on street fashion!
This is a great sample of personal attitude, dareness and old school vibe
August 23, 2012 at 1:01 pm
I think these guys are fans of Odd Future. Similar to Tyler the Creator’s style. This hip hop group has a cult like following and does pop up shops that sell clothes like this…lined up for blocks.
August 23, 2012 at 1:23 pm
Oh man, I teach lots of kids who look like this (or are trying to look like this) and I don’t think most of them have any clue how much they look like their parents did not THAT long ago.

I was browsing at a local Value Village (Toronto) this summer and a few boys were shopping for vests, shirts and pants with a strong 90′s feel.

One of my favorites.
The big necklace over that great printed shirt buttoned up all the way are so good…
