totally agree – it’s jacob’s vuitton fall line – big hat, wide flood pants, funky chunky heel. i think she is keeping her hat up with her small ponytail!
Although it’s a take on the masculine trend, I find this outfit incredibly feminine! So simple, and yet, so well executed! The slouchy pants and the substantial heels in the same shade are fantastic! Great style!
Of course, the pose and composition is incredible too :)
Yes everything seems to from someone else’s wardrobe, someone much larger. I don’t think it is a good look though. But I do like your “cartoonishly” term :)
Talk about a ten gallon hat! Ha Ha! Seriously, though, I love the white t-shirt/black over-sized trousers outfit with the elegant heels. I wouldn’t wear the hat and tie myself, but I do appreciate the style and the whimsy.
I love the wall, the sense of texture and 3 dimensionality is great. I also love this woman’s hat and tie/scarf(?). It reminds me of the play His Girl Friday, which I just saw. I love hats, and the colour of this hat is beautiful.
I thought the same thing, then I looked closer at the shoes and I think we are
seeing the shoe in the background making an illusion of the closer shoe not fitting.
Then I threw my computer out of the window..because dammit! life is too short to care about this crappy outfit. I’m going outside..and it ain’t too smoke or check my friggin
iphone.
When logic and proportions have fallen sloppy dead
and the white knight is talking backwards
and the red queen’s off with her head
remember what the dormouse said,
“Feed your head, feed your head”.
I’m sorry, but this is terrible. She looks like she’s wearing a costume…trying way too hard. I think the tie really sends it over the top. The hat is ridiculous, but it could have worked if she’d balanced out the rest of the outfit. She didn’t have to do “oversized menswear” from head to toe.
Looks rather like a little girl playing dress-up, right down to the too-big heels. The proportions are cool but maybe not so practical (since when does fashion have to be practical, though?) — it looks like the hat, shoes and maybe even pants are right on the edge of falling off!
when i go to Italia…very often in and around villages they have puppet theatre..opera..she could be taking a break for a small theatre company…I hope!! lol
I fail to understand what’s chic on a nice outfit that won’t fit her skinny frame. Her shoes and hat are too big on her. A good idea in the wrong body, perhaps.
Reminds me of hazi fantazi Brit pop band of the ’80s. Love at all, especially the hat – but I feel different shoes would have been better, can’t put my finger on why. She has a greeaaaat look.
i agree with roilien – this is jacob’s vuitton fall line – big hat, short structured pant, chunky heel. i think her little ponytail is holding her hat up. it’s quite a play on proportion, and gives her a tough waif look.
The color, the shape and the size of the hat make a statement. I also like the tatoo. But wearing shoes of a larger (or smaller) size is unacceptable and ruins an otherwise well-thought look.
I liked this look. At first, when it was loading on my laptop outdoors and I couldn’t see it too clearly, I thought she was a child dressing up in her mom’s clothes. Then I saw the cigarette and the phone. It gives an endearing look to fashion, doesn’t it?
Image caused a flashback to a favorite childhood cartoon ” The Perils of Penelope Pitstop” and the Anthill Mob from the Wacky Races (anyone remember this…?) The hat conjures Clyde….
LOL! This picture looks exactly like a caricature. Everything is so ill-fitting and wrong. The over-sized shoes, the low rise yet loose pants that’s been cuffed with its weird pocket size/position, the ultra slim/petite top half of her body, the untied tie, the huge hat that is swallowing her head, the hair, the odd curves of the pose… I LOVE this shot!
Proportions and sizes are so off ! She looks like a cartoon character, but I am sure it is deliberate. (Well, it HAS to be, right? If it is not, and you are reading this: well, sorry…)
Now, that is smart. Great shot. The cigarette is hardly visible. With a phone in one hand and a cigarette in the other, she looks like a private detective. Both accessories are used in synchrony. That requires advanced skills. She must be a private detective with no sleep for days in a hot pursuit of the bad guys. The hat gives her away. Although her heels my hinder her in ground chase.
