August 17, 2012 at 3:08 am
These jackets are so amazing!
I love the patterns.

Takahiro Kinoshita <3 :)
August 16, 2012 at 5:21 pm
I know! SUCH a stylish man! :)
August 16, 2012 at 7:45 pm
Yes, indeed! He is such an elegant man!
August 16, 2012 at 4:08 pm
Great! Small scale print – pretty much the only print I’d wear without hesitation. Way more timeless than the “big” prints!

It seems the leather portfolio is not just for men either, I have started using my leather tan folio as well!

I agree – definitely not just for men! Great look.
August 16, 2012 at 5:10 pm
Very stylish! Where can one find such jackets?
August 16, 2012 at 5:11 pm
So fresh and playful, yet the structured shape of the sport coat keep the look from becoming too casual or ‘kooky’
Loved that the printed coats are paired with more ‘somber’ accessories
Perfect balance between frivolous and serious
August 16, 2012 at 5:13 pm
Is the first gentleman, Mr Kinoshita ? Great video for J. Crew.
His sense of style is impeccable and his grey hair adds a subtile touch of elegance. He can wear anything and make it work !
August 16, 2012 at 5:15 pm
One other trend featured in this New Trend post that needs mention. Did you notice the hairstyles? Very low side partings, and tightly tailored neck lines that work in harmony with the shirt collars and light weight jackets. It’s a sharp style on these gents. Fantastic to see together…good stuff!
YES!!! Very cool. Finally! The man in the blue print jacket looks sharp. The man in the pink, green, and white print jacket is dazzling! I love both their smiles. Their fashion choices make me smile, too!
The first look is AMAZING and he looks so good! Not sure what I think of the pink print jacket.
August 16, 2012 at 5:22 pm
What incredible printed jackets!
August 16, 2012 at 5:23 pm
I love the look! It’s fun and unusual in a classic/preppy sort of way. AND I love the glasses! I have been wearing my Ralph Lauren Purple Label ones, and I don’t care they’re meant to be for men…I just love the old-school look they have!!
August 16, 2012 at 5:27 pm
I am all for the male wearing of prints…constantly trying to get my man in something printed :)
August 16, 2012 at 5:31 pm
The print of the blazers are super-cool. Sign me up!
THE STEL STYLE

It should be called dapper.
August 16, 2012 at 6:03 pm

Very stylish! Where can one find jackets like those?
August 16, 2012 at 6:21 pm
Love these! It’s always nice to see the typical “businessman” uniform spiced up with a bit of colour, fun, and personality.
August 16, 2012 at 6:24 pm
to me, very preppy & very perfect! :)
N = 2 doesn’t ==> trend
August 17, 2012 at 2:02 am
I think it is a trend when more than 1 person starts wearing it. He forgot the hairstyle too….CHECK
I like the way these severe glasses create a perfect harmony with bold prints, in the same way that fancy eyewear complement a restrained outfit…
August 16, 2012 at 6:32 pm
I definitely think it’s a new trend, I love it!
August 16, 2012 at 6:42 pm
Loving those small-scale printed blazers – specially the one on Takahiro! Is that from the new Prada FW12 collection? The print looks just like it but can’t quite decipher. Nonetheless it’s amazing with how he paired it and everything!!

Really cool glasses!
August 16, 2012 at 8:31 pm
The second shot has a Modern Day Lily Pulitzer vibe. I wish the fabric on both blazers were a little less wrinkly, though they are still fun to look at.
August 16, 2012 at 8:34 pm
I love the printed jackets and the black-framed glasses! Such great style :)
August 16, 2012 at 8:58 pm
I think “sweet smile” is an additional element here.
August 16, 2012 at 9:44 pm
for real stylist (not the subprofession of fashion industry) there is no trend. they themselves make their own “trends”.
August 16, 2012 at 10:37 pm
Fabulous! I’m loving small-scale prints on everything for Fall- coats, shoes, pants…
August 16, 2012 at 10:53 pm
Really, I can’t get theses glasses… maybe because it goes extremely wrong in my bone structure, but I don’t see why people use it, seems out of place. But the jackets are awesome! Would definitely use the second one.
August 16, 2012 at 11:03 pm
all they need is a ring on their little finger!
August 17, 2012 at 1:37 am
Yes why not. Sportswear are becoming the must have for the new man clothing.
August 17, 2012 at 2:11 am
I’m a fan! All I need to do is find a sports coat like that. I wonder where?
This is Belgium

August 17, 2012 at 4:28 am
It seems that we got a new trend indeed!
August 17, 2012 at 5:17 am
I will not follow it :D
August 17, 2012 at 6:26 am
That is because Kamo (first guy) is Poggi’s boss at United Arrows.
August 17, 2012 at 10:06 am
Attention aux trends, tout depends de la taille de Monsieur avec les sportcoats tres fleuriés. Vous pouvez passer de pieton en pyjamas ou Frodo Baggins si vous etes tres haut ou tres bas…

I´d prefer de first LOOk. ;)
August 17, 2012 at 12:51 pm
I love this new trend, it is so fun and different than anything else. Even as a girl I would wear either of these two blazers in a heart beat. Blazers themselves are great, but blazers with small scale print are FABULOUS! I also like the leather brief case because they are evocative of a time past.
August 17, 2012 at 1:59 pm
Usually I do not care about trends. But I really like the look. I can imagine myself wearing those sportcoats. Unfortunatly summer is almost gone. Who made them ? Is there a wool version available ?

August 17, 2012 at 2:17 pm
I kinda like the second jacket! Don’t know many who could pull it off, but this gentleman certainly can… he looks adorable.
August 17, 2012 at 2:58 pm
LOVE IT! Pictures great!
Thanks for sharing!
August 17, 2012 at 5:37 pm
lovely photos, as always.
now the question remains: is it a trend or will it be a trend after sartorialistization? ;)
absolutely love your photos. thank for bringing art to our lives.
August 18, 2012 at 12:39 am
Bold and very refined.
August 18, 2012 at 6:51 am
Always loved the way you were putting new standards in street photography but all I can think now is the game I play all my life with my friends, and it’s called-If you have to choose, which one will you choose..?
August 18, 2012 at 11:53 am
Love the glasses on the first guy – any idea where they’re from anyone??
August 18, 2012 at 12:25 pm
Does anyone know the brand of the second portfolio?

Awesome look – wonder where the inspiration derived from, early 1900′s western-influenced Asia?
August 19, 2012 at 4:49 pm
You forgot about haircut :))
August 19, 2012 at 11:38 pm
From the print of the jackets to the chunky frames, impeccably stylish.
August 20, 2012 at 1:22 am
The jacket in the second photo is very colorful but I like it.
August 20, 2012 at 10:32 am
I like the look of the jackets…something a bit more interesting , but still dressed up and ready for anything. The glasses work well. And as I do wear them, I think I will subscribe to the look. Thanks for the pointers.
August 20, 2012 at 12:01 pm
First jacket, right. Second, awful.
August 21, 2012 at 8:36 am
Stylish men! Love it :)
August 21, 2012 at 9:24 am
I. LOVE. IT.
August 21, 2012 at 2:32 pm
Well the bluish looks ok but the other? I’m not sure where to go dressed like that :)
Some will love that though

No one mentioned it yet, but that pink jacket is a very subtle HELLO KITTY print that United Arrows sold at District this season. I’m pretty sure they had a necktie that went with it as well.
August 22, 2012 at 8:49 pm
This look is actually quite stand out, but in such a refined way that it looks incredibly subtle and under the radar.. Very nice.
August 28, 2012 at 9:27 pm
Love that blueprint jacket. He must be an architect.
October 16, 2012 at 6:05 pm
The guy at the top looks like a beautifully rendered figure from some ubercool, cult graphic novel…..the glasses, the hair, the purest crispest whitest shirt and the soft textured tie……………the overall effect: sharper than a box of razor blades…..love it !
