I agree with you, that tattoos are horrible, but he does have a cool hairdo. I find tattoos ruin absolutely any look. When I see tattoos I don’t register specific images, I just see a mess of black.
Tattoos are bad, yadda yadda. Such prudes, you have to evolve. Nick Wooster have more style one morning than all you’ll have your entire life and he has tats.
Sart sings the blues. I really like the look of the gentleman with the blue shirt and khaki’s. The denim on denim also works well here. The shorts? not too sure about this look – a bit too boyish for my taste – or perhaps it is his boyish stance that sets the tone. I need to revisit this photo.
really love these buttoned up shirts!
The hairdo of the guy in the second pic is sooo cool (especially with grey hair). You don’t see many actual ‘men’ pulling this off so nicely.. well at least not in the Netherlands.
My favorite is the 3rd photo : the shirt is the right fit and length , I like the pockets and the silver (?) buttons. The jeans seems to be fitted as well and in a not so heavy fabric. As for the accessories, they are just perfect.
People don’t seem to respond to the first photo so well, but I find it the most interesting. His stance sort of reminds me of a pointer dog, and his sort of boyish shorts are unexpected.
I don’t quite get this “buttoned up collar, but with no tie” trend. You make yourself a lot less comfortable, without the formalizing benefit of the tie. Is the hip irony of the look worth the discomfort?
But besides that jarring example of fashion victimhood, I like these pictures, especially the second.
When I questioned why men were supposed to tuck in their shirts at my place of employment, when it was not required of women, I was told it was because women’s shirts were tailored to be left untucked. Hence, I had all of my button ups tailored like the man’s shirt in the third picture.
Nice shots! I personally don’t care for the second and third look at all (especially the last one). But the first one, oh it is too good for complains. I love everything about it. Thank heavens I’m not a guy or I would become a copycat tomorrow morning for the whole day. Even the hairstyle and background go in perfect harmony with the whole style. *Silent/inner scream of appreciation*
the first look is a great update of the 90′s look where your wear long sleeved t-shirt under a stripe-y t-shirt or a grunge band t-shirt. it’s a nice one!
as for the button up shirt with no tie…it highlights the construction of the shirt especially, the collar, shoulder, sleeves and chest area where most of the details are and of course the face of the wearer
The second gentleman looks fantastic! He’s a perfect example of maintaining a personal style–in his case, apparently, sort of rock ‘n’ roll cool–over the course of lifetime without attempting to look younger than one is. (At this point, however, every time I see a fully-buttoned shirt I think of Boyd Crowder.)
I really like the last two photos. The man in the middle is really stylish, I’ve got a thing for short sleeves and when they are turned up I found it even better ! I would wear myself one just like that. I also like his hairstyles and tattoos.
About the man of the last photo I like his hat, his necklace and his shirt and again the turned up sleeves. Back to my parents’ home I think I’ll take my little brother denim shirt (it was mine first…though) :D.
Thank you for the inspiration !
ok, I gotta say the second guy’s look does not work for him AT ALL – a first on this site. Everything is a strain. It’s as if an elderpunk was kidnapped by Banana Republic, their dressing room became a straitjacket, and he just made his pissed-off escape and, annoyed, is texting his lawyer…
