The middle man is sporting a great look. The tats almost ruin it but then his hairstyle saves the day !
August 15, 2012 at 6:34 pm
I agree with you, that tattoos are horrible, but he does have a cool hairdo. I find tattoos ruin absolutely any look. When I see tattoos I don’t register specific images, I just see a mess of black.
August 16, 2012 at 6:12 am
I think the middle man looks great. His hairstyle rocks as well.
August 16, 2012 at 11:51 pm
my new barber (female, my usual guy was off that day!) did me this hair cut last weekend! i just asked her to do something new for my 4″long locks….
August 25, 2012 at 3:43 am
Tattoos are bad, yadda yadda. Such prudes, you have to evolve. Nick Wooster have more style one morning than all you’ll have your entire life and he has tats.

Two guys deffo need a tattoo to complete the look
August 15, 2012 at 4:35 pm
The first look is by far the best – although I do like the second shot’s take a classic navy and khaki.

I like the second shot. Very handsome men :)
August 15, 2012 at 4:40 pm
What’s going on with the guy in the first photo? His feet are facing one way and his face the other!
Love the tattoos ! and of course de pictures :)
August 15, 2012 at 4:43 pm
I really love the look of the guy in the first picture: amazing!

I love it. I also love that the men here in Buenos Aires dress pretty much the same way.
August 15, 2012 at 4:58 pm
Great photos! My favourite is the last one!
August 15, 2012 at 5:03 pm
Sart sings the blues. I really like the look of the gentleman with the blue shirt and khaki’s. The denim on denim also works well here. The shorts? not too sure about this look – a bit too boyish for my taste – or perhaps it is his boyish stance that sets the tone. I need to revisit this photo.
really love these buttoned up shirts!
The hairdo of the guy in the second pic is sooo cool (especially with grey hair). You don’t see many actual ‘men’ pulling this off so nicely.. well at least not in the Netherlands.
August 15, 2012 at 5:05 pm
love love love this capture!!!
August 15, 2012 at 5:09 pm
My favorite is the 3rd photo : the shirt is the right fit and length , I like the pockets and the silver (?) buttons. The jeans seems to be fitted as well and in a not so heavy fabric. As for the accessories, they are just perfect.

Really cool… can not choose only one…
August 15, 2012 at 5:21 pm
I love the first look. He looks dashing!
August 15, 2012 at 5:40 pm
All three are very sharp looks.
August 15, 2012 at 5:42 pm
Three strikes your out.
The top one looks sloppy ands does not work for me at all.
The bottom two don’t have the right body type for this look and it is not a flattering on them.

Love the second photo!
August 15, 2012 at 6:24 pm
They all look serious but so cooooool !
August 15, 2012 at 6:28 pm
I’ve always been fond of this look. It seems to walk the line between formality and playfulness.
Love the smart look
August 15, 2012 at 6:36 pm
People don’t seem to respond to the first photo so well, but I find it the most interesting. His stance sort of reminds me of a pointer dog, and his sort of boyish shorts are unexpected.
August 15, 2012 at 6:42 pm
In love with the first style!

I don’t quite get this “buttoned up collar, but with no tie” trend. You make yourself a lot less comfortable, without the formalizing benefit of the tie. Is the hip irony of the look worth the discomfort?
But besides that jarring example of fashion victimhood, I like these pictures, especially the second.

Congratulations on the wide acceptance of your new book! I was excited to see it highlighted in the current issue of “Martha Stuart Magazine.”
Fun, as I’ve been watching your blog from the very beginning! Very proud of you and this great achievement.

When I questioned why men were supposed to tuck in their shirts at my place of employment, when it was not required of women, I was told it was because women’s shirts were tailored to be left untucked. Hence, I had all of my button ups tailored like the man’s shirt in the third picture.

Nice shots! I personally don’t care for the second and third look at all (especially the last one). But the first one, oh it is too good for complains. I love everything about it. Thank heavens I’m not a guy or I would become a copycat tomorrow morning for the whole day. Even the hairstyle and background go in perfect harmony with the whole style. *Silent/inner scream of appreciation*

I’m not use to guys who button their agitate up to the very top button! It looks uncomfortable.

Sharp dressed men are always my weakness.
August 16, 2012 at 12:07 pm
the first look is a great update of the 90′s look where your wear long sleeved t-shirt under a stripe-y t-shirt or a grunge band t-shirt. it’s a nice one!
as for the button up shirt with no tie…it highlights the construction of the shirt especially, the collar, shoulder, sleeves and chest area where most of the details are and of course the face of the wearer

The second gentleman looks fantastic! He’s a perfect example of maintaining a personal style–in his case, apparently, sort of rock ‘n’ roll cool–over the course of lifetime without attempting to look younger than one is. (At this point, however, every time I see a fully-buttoned shirt I think of Boyd Crowder.)

Although really boyish I appreciate the first pic. Its unique in an undersated yet loud way. Im all for khaki n navy too…CLASSIC wt tonnes o attitude
August 16, 2012 at 7:00 pm
Anyone know who makes the belt in the second photo? Thanks!
August 16, 2012 at 7:12 pm
I think the first look is the best one, I really like it!
August 16, 2012 at 7:54 pm
I really like the last two photos. The man in the middle is really stylish, I’ve got a thing for short sleeves and when they are turned up I found it even better ! I would wear myself one just like that. I also like his hairstyles and tattoos.
About the man of the last photo I like his hat, his necklace and his shirt and again the turned up sleeves. Back to my parents’ home I think I’ll take my little brother denim shirt (it was mine first…though) :D.
Thank you for the inspiration !

Hmmm. First two are wonderful, the third one is sweet too. I guess I love all three!
August 17, 2012 at 2:54 am
ok, I gotta say the second guy’s look does not work for him AT ALL – a first on this site. Everything is a strain. It’s as if an elderpunk was kidnapped by Banana Republic, their dressing room became a straitjacket, and he just made his pissed-off escape and, annoyed, is texting his lawyer…
August 17, 2012 at 2:57 am
(I think the second guy should definitely unbutton, he violates the easygoing rule – “look as if you don’t give a crap”.)

The middle is my fav. Love the blue shirt buttoned up all the way, with rolled sleeves, but the hair makes it.
August 21, 2012 at 5:00 am
good Also do not disappoint
August 28, 2012 at 9:30 pm
There is no single aspect of the first picture that I like. But I like it all together. Strange how that works.
