I agree, this jacket is so interesting.
August 9, 2012 at 4:02 pm
You know.. I’m on the fence about terrycloth in the summer. It’s almost like women wearing scarves in the summer.
Fashionable yes, by no means practical.
August 9, 2012 at 4:03 pm
Hmmm yeah I can see it looking quite cool over a bright yellow bikini

LOVE THE BLUE COAT
August 9, 2012 at 4:07 pm
Love the idea too!
August 9, 2012 at 4:10 pm
Love the colours!
August 9, 2012 at 4:14 pm
Sorry but this looks ridiculous- the skirt finishes it off nicely! This is meddling
August 9, 2012 at 5:45 pm
Look again. He’s wearing shorts. (Maybe your computer screen’s too dark or at the wrong tilt to see it clearly.)
August 13, 2012 at 2:57 am
Those are kind of obviously shorts. What are you even seeing?
August 9, 2012 at 4:17 pm
I have an old Versache one of these. It was from my brother so I can’t say how old exactly.
I wear it all the time though.
August 9, 2012 at 4:21 pm
I love the vest! The texture and color are great!
August 9, 2012 at 4:22 pm
What a fantastic idea! That must be so convenient!
August 9, 2012 at 4:23 pm
This is irrefutable proof that there is a world of difference between a beach towel shaped like a sport coat and a sport coat made out of a beach towel. One is loads of fun and the other is just embarrassing. On a positive note, I do like the color.

I don’t smoke, and could never be with a smoker, but sometimes, like with this guy, the right person can look so fucking hot with a cigarette.
August 9, 2012 at 11:43 pm
this is very funny.
August 9, 2012 at 4:33 pm
It looks so warm and fuzzy ! He kind of reminds me of cookie monster in this outfit ;-)
August 9, 2012 at 4:38 pm
No. no, no, no…. this is the point Italian dandy style jumps the shark.
August 9, 2012 at 4:41 pm
love the sunnies!
August 9, 2012 at 4:42 pm
This man knows how to dress. Style must be in his genes.
August 9, 2012 at 4:43 pm
I love that color blue!

Great colour. Very stylish!

I love his Attitude!
August 9, 2012 at 5:05 pm
I love how he wears the coat – just on the shoulders.
Mónica - Mes Voyages à Paris Blog
I love this blue on him!!
August 9, 2012 at 5:06 pm
What a fantastic colour, and its double breasted, wow! How brave….
August 9, 2012 at 5:12 pm
just wow! Love the idea too
August 9, 2012 at 5:26 pm
that’s pretty suspect as a jacket. but it’s pretty much the coolest towel of all time.
August 13, 2012 at 3:02 am
See, now thats exactly it. I knew I would find a post that said it right. I sure couldn’t think of the right words.
August 9, 2012 at 5:28 pm
No. Uh-uh. No way. Seriously? Am I alone on this?
August 9, 2012 at 8:47 pm
Nope. Not alone Nomadic D. I agree with you and Michael K. (this is Italian style jumping the shark). Also agree with the cookie monster commenter.
August 9, 2012 at 5:29 pm
The terrycloth jacket looks like a towel with buttons ! However, I love white and blue together and the aviators are sexy.
August 9, 2012 at 5:39 pm
August 9, 2012 at 5:52 pm
It takes guts to wear such a bright piece of terrycloth…and a sense of self-irony. But totally agree with Elisa – yellow bikini would look smashing with this.
August 9, 2012 at 6:25 pm
Only in Italia! So cool……..
August 9, 2012 at 6:31 pm
so cool and chic!
August 9, 2012 at 6:49 pm
Reminds me of Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster! A stylish one, of course!
August 9, 2012 at 7:05 pm
I love the texture and colour and the way it’s being worn here. It’s a fine example of ingoring the fabric’s original intentions as a cuddly wearable towel, and embracing its other qualities. Cute older bloke!
August 9, 2012 at 7:57 pm
Too fluffy, too bath robe-y, too unstructured and sloppy. Looks way too hot for summer as well. I really want this to work, but it’s just not. Maybe if it was actually ON instead of just on his shoulders? Maybe it needs long pants, perhaps white?
August 9, 2012 at 10:46 pm
Only in Italy.
August 9, 2012 at 10:50 pm
Is this outfit a commentary on the weather?
August 9, 2012 at 11:38 pm
loving his coat and sunnies! so cool.

No, no & no. It looks like a bathrobe in disguise.
August 10, 2012 at 2:05 am
A little too Juicy Couture for me.
August 10, 2012 at 2:44 am
Cool guy, but strange style :) My first thought was for towel too :D

August 10, 2012 at 2:46 am
I could see it working beautifully at the pool. Outside of that context, I think this is better in theory than in practice.
August 10, 2012 at 3:20 am
I agree with some of the comments above. It does look a little bit too much bath-roby and sloppy to be stylish…
August 10, 2012 at 6:13 am
very nice very cool
August 10, 2012 at 6:26 am
It has the humor…
August 10, 2012 at 9:26 am
Uh, no. Just no.
August 10, 2012 at 10:16 am
I agree with you, I wouldn’t wear it in the city, but by the beach or at the pool would be perfect. I actually have something similar to it with a matching pair of terri cloth shorts, which I wear to the beach.
August 10, 2012 at 11:13 am
I agree with you, I’m not sure I would wear it in the city but it does seem like a great alternative to the typical poolside coverup over your trunks or as a blazer alternative to a night time pool party. I can’t wait for your special edition collection to arrive, I’ve got mine on pre-order.
August 10, 2012 at 12:29 pm
What an interesting texture/fabric for a jacket – but TOTALLY LOVE it! And the color is FUN! LOVE New York for this reason! Fun, interesting, eccentric, beautiful people everywhere you look.

This is basically a Snuggie with a collar and buttons. And I bet it would be too warm to wear in the comfortably in the summer.
August 13, 2012 at 2:59 am
Nah. Terrycloth is good and cool in the summer. Feels great when its muggy out. Id wear that coat over my bikini if I had it.
Snuggies are made from fleece. See how thats very different?
August 10, 2012 at 5:21 pm
A DBJ with shorts? Sure? No, not for me.
August 10, 2012 at 5:35 pm
August 10, 2012 at 5:43 pm
Love the picture. Such a nice sweater! And love the little details.
August 10, 2012 at 6:13 pm
love terrycloth, brilliant
August 11, 2012 at 4:21 am
You’re joking, right?
Amazingly ugly and not in the least stylish.
August 11, 2012 at 7:20 am
Ugly is Ok if it’s practical, impractical is Ok if it’s really stylish, this is not quite one or the other… Good looking man though
August 11, 2012 at 10:57 am
Love this Blue! Stylish!
August 11, 2012 at 7:05 pm
First let me say, it is really fantastic what you have done with this blog…. That being said, there is a gentleman you have shot a couple times, who always looks very cool. The last time it was the terry cloth sport coat, who is this man? I’m guessing he is in the fashion world in Milan by the fact in the pic which was titled ” The perfect casual shirt” he had a Missoni invite.
If you can answer, great…. If not, keep up the good work…
August 11, 2012 at 7:27 pm
sadly i too have to disagree with his look it. its ridiculous. the jacket is ok, sure, whatever, but hes trying to make it work in a formal sense and its just silly and a total eye roll. if he wanted something fuzzy and fun, go prada. if he was wearing a swimsuit and on the beach…cool, i guess. he tried.
IS THIS IT? models review
August 12, 2012 at 11:08 am
I kind of agree with the “I don’t know if I would wear it in the city”…
August 12, 2012 at 10:30 pm
Proof that Italians can make anything look stylish!
August 13, 2012 at 2:56 am
Oh wow. on anyone else this would just be far too weird to contemplate. On him its actually just good. Who IS this guy?
August 13, 2012 at 5:03 am
Очень смело, ходить по городу как в полотенце. Если ему нравится почему бы и нет)
August 13, 2012 at 7:38 am
nice style! very unique!
August 13, 2012 at 12:57 pm
isn’t he the guy wearing “the perfect casual shirt” and the wild shorts on July 16th?
August 14, 2012 at 3:47 am
very summery. maybe he’s coming from/going to the pool? should went with a white v-neck t-shirt
August 14, 2012 at 3:56 am
what a great idea and great usage of a material! men definitely do not have to have a super 150 or so wool suit in order to look complete, a terrycloth makes it as well:) and the bermuda is so old school-love the way he pus themt both together!

August 14, 2012 at 9:50 am
With he short sleeved white collared shirt and shorts the terrycloth blazer absolutely works for summer style.
August 15, 2012 at 7:42 am
Great! What’s his name?
August 15, 2012 at 3:43 pm
this is the guy that was wearing the gorgeous printed shorts and linen shirt about a month ago… he looks great, as usual. I think the jacket is actually some sort of chenille, not terrycloth.
August 15, 2012 at 3:58 pm
I really want to know who this man is…
April 23, 2013 at 6:25 am
He looks comfy!
January 16, 2014 at 3:03 pm
look http://zopito.over-blog.com/ please.
March 20, 2014 at 7:52 am
The shades though, what are they? I love them!!!
August 1, 2015 at 1:07 am
Fantastico! The terrycloth jacket is a true menswear piece, think of the likes of ‘the rake of the riviera’ Gianni Agnelli, JF Kennedy, Gunter Sachs, Sean Connery or other gentlemen of the jetset age!
