He keeps it local and represents.

Yes! I love this stripey look!
August 2, 2012 at 4:06 pm
I’m enjoying all of his rings.

Quick nip to the shops to stock up on provisions, with a trusty umbrella much needed here in England! :)
August 2, 2012 at 4:19 pm
He looks so sad and the outfit doesn’t help his situation . I guess the extremely rainy summer in London is getting to everyone .
August 2, 2012 at 4:21 pm
Sorry, nothing appealing about this look. It’s got “self-conscious” written all over it. But kudos for resisting the urge to wear striped socks with it.
August 2, 2012 at 5:37 pm
I’m curious–how so? I can’t read the look on his face, but I think the outfit shows some confidence.
August 7, 2012 at 3:52 pm
I think it’s safe to say that by self-conscious the above post meant something along the lines of conscious of the fact that he was putting together a “fashiony,” or “daring” outfit, rather than having an effortless style. In other words: trying too hard.
August 4, 2012 at 2:17 am
I think he’s very attractive in this outfit; And what’s wrong with his demeanor or looking “self-conscious”?! It shows a kind of vulnerability which can be very endearing to some people. sweet

Those shape of the trousers are a definite new shape that offers loads of interesting new perspectives on an outfit. Approved!
August 5, 2012 at 4:28 am
Where can I find pants like that? Do you have any suggestions…?

Nice plaid bag. The stripes in his shirt match complement the stripes in the umbrella. I love how this photograph is taken, with the lights popping in the background.

Why is this scary? I think he is cute, and I like the layers with the stripes, and the bag is great, so are the sneakers.
THE STEL STYLE
I like his shoes!!! nice outfit!!
August 3, 2012 at 11:22 am
His shoes????? they are ONLY for running, come on!!!
August 11, 2012 at 1:19 am
please……you should really read up on your shoes before you comment. The pair the guy is wearing are the revamped CM620s. Part of newbalances smart casual line. not just for running -_-”
August 14, 2012 at 4:06 am
classic new balance. awesome.
August 2, 2012 at 4:46 pm
HM INTERESTING LOOK, I LIKE THE STRIPY TSHIRT AND THE JERSEY SWEATER COMBO!
matt endler did it better in 2010….but this little guy is cute too.
August 2, 2012 at 4:49 pm
Nice photo, but nothing special to it!
August 2, 2012 at 4:58 pm
I don’t get this one..
August 2, 2012 at 5:00 pm
Here are those pants again ! I understand that guys want “comfort” and space to breathe but, this style is not flattering.
Too bad, because I like the rest of the outfit, especially the tartan bag and the umbrella.
August 2, 2012 at 5:35 pm
You find him back ! Live his easy wear.
August 2, 2012 at 5:43 pm
I’m not sure about the oversized pants but I like the overall feeling of this look.
August 2, 2012 at 5:46 pm
I just don’t understand why some fashionistas try to completely screw up proportion (obviously he knows what he’s doing). How contrived. Maybe he’s bored with clothing that looks good.
August 2, 2012 at 5:47 pm
LOL, this is funny ..I love the look of “…and what are you looking at?”
August 2, 2012 at 5:51 pm
very odd outfit, strikes as being a little “try too hard” to me!
August 2, 2012 at 5:55 pm
August 2, 2012 at 6:07 pm
Im getting a slight homeless vibe here!

August 2, 2012 at 6:31 pm
I think this may very well be the height of “effortless”. His expression is very stoic, though he sees almost content with himself… and his outfit of choice.
August 2, 2012 at 6:53 pm
So cool, so typical London style
August 4, 2012 at 6:34 am
I agree, really cool, really London. Its only in London people get away with stuff that would loke horrible on any other person. They always talk about the French girls and their style. Its should be The London people. I think French/Parisian women look either boring, or if they are a bit older and high class they are of course beautiful and classic, but classic can be really BORING! A London lady is NEVER boring. Can be a bit shabby bohemian, but that is far better than being boring. In London I always se spectacular outfits, but Paris mostly same kind of dressing on everyone, OR really expensive designer clothes. I think this guys looks very cool!

August 2, 2012 at 7:46 pm
Thia guy and the girl in the preceding London pic would make a fun couple.
August 2, 2012 at 8:08 pm
Sloppy, and those pants are awful.
August 2, 2012 at 8:20 pm
I’m in love with his new balance sneakers !
August 3, 2012 at 6:27 am
What kind of New Balance are these?
August 2, 2012 at 8:46 pm
Deliberate or accident?
I think it works as a whole, but I’m not sure whether it was all contrived or whether he threw whatever he felt comfortable on that morning, just grabbing necessary accessories.
It’s the rings that make me think there might have been some conscious effort……?
August 3, 2012 at 5:42 am
My thoughts exactly. I can’t tell if he’s a fashionista or just rolled out of bed.
August 2, 2012 at 9:19 pm
August 2, 2012 at 9:31 pm
I guess you are right about the new shape of the trouser. Not sure if I like it on men, but this fellow looks cute. He looks oh so comfy.
August 2, 2012 at 11:26 pm
C’mon, there are many variations of such outfit around the world, in almost every mundane corner. Just b’cause he is in London, in some specific neighbor that this outfit makes him seemingly outstanding?
August 2, 2012 at 11:47 pm
Interesting play on proportion and mix of two different stripes with the plaid bag. At first glance, I thought his expression was sad, but on second look I’d say it’s more like bored.
August 3, 2012 at 12:50 am
This represents true effortless style.
He’s just good like that.
He screams fashion.
August 3, 2012 at 1:02 am
This is the same type of pants I previously described as pajama-like and something my American tourist visiting warm foreign countries would wear. I repeat many of the sentiments here that it looks awful, and should NOT, NOT be the things to come.

Nice color selection, but nothing fits. Fit is the most important thing.
August 3, 2012 at 2:47 am
It’s him again! Last time he wore a fur coat over a blazer if i’m not mistaken.
I think he looks adorable.

August 3, 2012 at 3:09 am
Like the shoes but that´s about it. Those rings are tacky!
August 3, 2012 at 4:13 am
i like him, he’s so beautiful.
August 3, 2012 at 5:59 am
I guess Scot found it fun to picture someone in a bored day, when going to the groceries store is the closest you can get to “out and having fun”…
I often get dressed like that… when I’m at home and sick, ont wishing to see a single living soul.
cheers to all
Just another blog junkie
Dear Mr. S,
I love his rings! How delicate. They are so lovely in contrast to the industrial element of this outfit; plastic bag, umbrella, sneaks and loose fitting clothing for an easy stroll in the city. I think I would like to run into people in that outfit, I think there is something classic about…maybe it is the new classic…or maybe i just live in a small town and do not see people who dress like this….thanks for sharing so inspiring.
August 3, 2012 at 6:28 am
Where can i get his New Balance Shoes?
August 3, 2012 at 8:02 am
Idk if this is his natural look or if he is trying hard, but either way it doesn’t work well imo. He look like a bum.
August 3, 2012 at 8:33 am
Love his look, but what I like the most are his shoes!
August 3, 2012 at 9:23 am
Just a boy. I can’t figure out why he is making an appearance on this site. I am also puzzled by the “trying too hard” comments as it looks as if he didn’t try at all–just picked up the stuff lying about the flat.
Perhaps there are subtle fashion clues I am not picking up. My son comes over in what looks to me like sneakers, jeans and a t-shirt, exactly like last week. But he explains that the jeans and sneakers are special something, and the t-shirt too.
August 3, 2012 at 10:41 am
Nice photo, but fashion-wise, nothing special here.
August 3, 2012 at 10:44 am
We’re going to have to check the ‘NO’ box on the questionnaire again.
August 3, 2012 at 10:47 am
on this and the prior endell street shot: it’s nice to see people taking readily available elements and making their own distinct looks.
August 3, 2012 at 11:10 am
He looks so typically English, his face and his hair, not to mention the umbrella and tartan bag.
August 3, 2012 at 1:25 pm
Charming without looking like he’s trying too hard.
August 3, 2012 at 2:59 pm
Hmmm… not a fan. I’m all for the “relaxed” or “slouchy” look, but it sorta looks like he just rolled out of bed and hit the street. And not in a good way. :/ This is on the wrong side of “casual.” But, to each their own. Hope he’s not going to work in an office like that though…
August 3, 2012 at 5:20 pm
really enjoying the layers and lengths
August 3, 2012 at 6:54 pm
I am puzzled by the positive reviews in these comments, but then it occured to me that I am the one missing something. So THESE are the Emperor’s new clothes!
(Awful outfit, he looks like he really needs a girlfriend).
August 4, 2012 at 6:15 pm
Short over long has to be one of my favorite things! He’s so modern, that others just don’t understand!
August 5, 2012 at 4:25 am
He just got it! Love his casual style, the oversized pants are perfect on him. And the NB are amazing.
August 6, 2012 at 3:52 am
I LOVE LOVE LOVE HIS OUTFIT! He looks great – comfortable and cool!.
August 6, 2012 at 12:00 pm
So causally British looking , reminds me of the time I used to live in London. So many people there dress like this guy
August 7, 2012 at 12:37 am
I like your PRADA bag!
August 14, 2012 at 4:10 am
different look…he’s doing his own thing. not crazy about the pants but the sneakers / bag /umbrella pull it together…sorta
August 14, 2012 at 12:20 pm
one above the other t-shirt looks so cool!
This girl loves to talk
August 21, 2012 at 12:03 am
I’ve no problem with guys wearing comfy pants… but the hemline is all wrong… makes your feet look weird. everything else looks good.
August 25, 2012 at 10:45 am
Not liking this one.. Starts off okay from the top and gets worse all the way down to those ugly shoes.. Sorry no hate but really just not feeling it
