I love this look. Esp this colour combination.

For a tiny person she looks pretty damn strong and confident.
I like seeing women portrayed like this – tough, but not mean.
Great look, punch of yellow in the clutch is great. Love her sandals too…
Love her hair and simple classic outfit :)
I am definitely a fan of this look, because the basic shirt fits so well and really lets the bleached skirt speak loudest. Cute braid. Great accessories. Chic shoes.

Tie-dye back is definitely back in, and I’m loving it! I recently went to a tie-dye party in London and we tie-dyed everything in the flat.

Love the blue theme in this look with the tie dye skirt and simple navy tee! The mustard clutch is a wonderful complement to the blue and is a great finishing touch!

WOW! An amazing look that must be replicated ASAP! Navy and sunflower yellow is a combination I feature often, and she pulls it off beautifully. I love the flat sandals and the side braid. Beautiful!
Thank you for the inspiration!

This is a perfect summer outfit: simple and cool. The blue tie-dye skirt is refreshing and the pop of yellow clutch is just enough contrast.

I gotta say, clean look, but I don’t find the appeal. It doesn’t stand out much to me, it’s fairly common around Milan. But I agree that simple is good, I had 2 posts about that, simple clean looks, on my blog yesterday even. Nice pic tho. Cheers.

Her stance is the perfect complement to her look. This is a young woman who’d never point her toes inward while being photographed.

Love the skirt!
June 29, 2012 at 10:46 am
simple yet wonderful. Love the ease at which the items make for a very nice summer look. Blue is a favorite.
I saw her, and my first reaction, was wait a minute this woman is not an European. She looks remarkably like so many of the women here in Colorado, like she doesn’t skip on food and runs marathons like other people go window shopping. Lucky her to be gone the summer of fires. I hope she’s enjoying smoke free air—and take your time Lila- this summer our state is not an outdoor paradise.

Hell yeah reppin’ COLORADO !!! Love her shoes !!!

This is one of my favourite looks of all time on this site. There’s nothing I would change. Except maybe to swap the person dressed like this with me.
Is that asking too much?
June 29, 2012 at 11:15 am
This is a great outfit for summer. Navy blue is a color that can be combined with so many others and it’s very classy.
I like her self-confident attitude.

and its a beautiful woman playing with fashion:)

Simple, but so lovely!
June 29, 2012 at 1:21 pm
Yes, please! The tight (not to mention slick) braid and sunglasses command notice, which lead one to the pleasing blues/esp skirt.
June 29, 2012 at 1:23 pm
Cute with the side braid and e’rything.
June 29, 2012 at 1:36 pm
Literally no fancy pants! Simplicity working at its best. Scott I really like that you shoot girls full body, we get to see their shoes, PLEASE do the same with guys, there are some shoe fetishists around!

She looks so strong ! I Love her bleached skirt and hair
June 29, 2012 at 3:37 pm
Even though it’s summer, I’m not feeling skimpy sandals at all. Don’t know why. Booties with a short something on top is feeling new and fresh. Diggin’ maxi dresses too.

She is like Lara Croft! I don’t like the proportions in this outfit, I don’t think the shoes goes together with that short skirt. The skirt should be either longer, far lover than the knee, OR really short and slim, OR she could wear that skirt but with ballerinas. I don’t know but some how this doesn’t work in my eyes at all. Beautiful she is anyway, and nice hair.
June 30, 2012 at 9:06 am
Love her yellow clutch…great sense for detail.
June 30, 2012 at 9:33 am
Love the hint of citrus.
June 30, 2012 at 9:57 am
nice pic .
June 30, 2012 at 10:44 am
classy and stylish
June 30, 2012 at 11:42 am
I must dissent. The proportions are totally off. Skirt either needs to be shorter and higher on the waist, or to the floor. The way it is looks really off-putting to me.

June 30, 2012 at 1:53 pm
Glad to see my neck of the US woods represent, but I’m surprised no one commented on what looks to me like an ill-fitting and entirely too, well, “uplifting” bra under her T.
Otherwise, darling outfit on a lovely woman.

June 30, 2012 at 8:14 pm
so strong, fresh and athletic. got USA stamped all over her look
July 1, 2012 at 9:39 am
navy might be the hottest colour on a woman. her plat makes it though
July 1, 2012 at 4:31 pm
I like navy with silver, it goes so well together.
July 1, 2012 at 9:05 pm
The skirt is absolutely perfect length and shape. So is she she is a very well proportioned short woman. Very pretty and very self assured. I love the wayfarers. My absolute favorite kind of sunglasses.
July 1, 2012 at 9:14 pm
@ Lucia and N; Yes, I agree with you all. She should pull up her skirt. Its riding wayyyyyyy low, and its meant to be at her waist. Its elongating her waist and shortening her legs. I don’t think she is aware it has sagged low like it has. But thats just one detail. Everything else is pure class, No?
July 2, 2012 at 6:49 am
Braids are so in, this season. Like last.
She is a tie-dye princess warrior.
July 2, 2012 at 9:47 am
I like the mustard clutch detail, but I’d have worn another kind of tee (maybe a loose one) and wedges or heels, more classy.
July 2, 2012 at 8:35 pm
blogandthecities, thats why she is in the one in the Sartorialist. Never have understood why people feel the need to tell what they would have worn when the subject is what SHE is wearing.
Heels are beautiful, but classy? I don’t know. Don’t you think wearing high heels often makes one look like they are trying too hard?
July 3, 2012 at 12:04 pm
Nice picture!!Simple and tidy…..
July 3, 2012 at 1:59 pm
what I’m saying is that with HER proportions IN MY OPINION she’d look better (and classier) with a nice pair of heels. Or wedges, if you prefer. It’s not just the look , it’s how it looks ON YOU, and it’s not just about fashion, it’s about one’s physical. Don’t you think so?
July 3, 2012 at 3:23 pm
Nice Arrogant, stubborn, promising…. :) neat pic and a nice female.
July 4, 2012 at 8:16 am
I love all the strappy, black, flat sandals I have been seeing lately!
July 4, 2012 at 11:36 am
I love her yellowish purse/wallet and her tight braid
July 6, 2012 at 6:42 am
no offense, i think this look is hideous! the look does not flatter her body type. The shirt does not fit her upper body well; the sinch skirt is lacking a belt or should be worn a little higher around her actual waist; the sandals are nice, however don’t compliment the look as a whole; the bracelet on one hand, watch on the other should be worn with a different outfit; and I guess I will end with the only decent piece to this look: the handbag! Great vibrant color, and well suiting for running quick errands or a lunch date.
July 6, 2012 at 1:45 pm
I like her outfit. I dislike the way it fits her, but the colors are so good it makes up for it.
Her stance and expression that somehow reminds me of the books and tv shows that have the stereotypical “I can do everything myself” heroines. Its overdone. Lets face it, she has no physical intimidation to offer, so why pretend? I would rather see a girl be coy then this irritating phony toughness. None of which detracts from the outfit or the photo.
I think I agree with the poster on the last photograph that said he was tired of there being so few manly men. I think maybe we really do need more girls who are honest enough to act girly.
July 7, 2012 at 5:03 am
Interesting stance. Love the way this outfit flows and is styled on her top to bottom. Sunglasses included. Captured the moment perfectly.
July 7, 2012 at 4:42 pm
not so special, this looks like an outfit my teenage daughter got at Forever 21 recently
July 8, 2012 at 6:20 am
I want to marry her!
July 8, 2012 at 1:19 pm
Gosh, I think she looks great.
July 11, 2012 at 10:20 am
Wow! The outfit is great, esp the color combination. And the braid is cool too (Now if I could only learn to braid my daughter’s hair that way). Not to mention Lila is FINE!
July 12, 2012 at 8:04 am

Great outfit !! I have similar sandals….but I hate when a high heel stepped over my toes…..!!! I think that, mostly, is on purpose….

great look, but without the cute yellow clutch it’s kinda boring
