I’m starting to like this style of coat, now that I’m seeing it more often–though it’s spring now, so I’ll probably wait until next fall to make my final decision on a purchase. I have to remark, though, that I had a coat almost exactly like this when I was in sixth grade, 22 or so years ago. I’d like this coat a lot more, actually, if it seemed a bit fresher and not picked so directly from the dustbins of the ’80s.

I love this coat! I love the unique shape of it… ;) the way it shrinks in at the bottom. :) & the pairing with uggs reminds me of something I can do up here in the cold cold Northern NY.

That coat has a great shape, much like an oversized zip-up hoodie. The oversized buttons are charming and I love her choice of black leather gloves, for a touch of formality. (Woolen mittens might have made the ensemble look seriously hobo.) As for the Uggs, she’s probably running errands-not going on a lunch date. As trite and bulky as they may be, Uggs certainly have their time and place.

i’m guessing the originality of this jacket would be some trendy h&m-esque brand in japan that’s impossible to find.

stella mccartney did a coat similar to this in a raincoat fabric that i have. check out her spring collection.

i actually like the boots she choose…if they were just black knee boots of some sort, it would have been just another nice look.

i saw her at or near MoMA and remember because her coat was so cool. it looked even better though due to the great colors of her (otherwise typical) tights and uggs combo; what a lovely deep brown.

Beautiful outfit, beautiful coat. Only thing is I’d ditch the uggs too. I’d rather see some dressier boots, maybe in black leather to match her gloves.
