Cobalt blue and yellow has to be one of my favourite colour combos! Love the asymmetric hem of her skirt! A simple yet striking look! Well-captured Scott!
June 15, 2012 at 9:08 am
Love the colour blocking! Such an interesting pose too :)
June 15, 2012 at 9:09 am
Brazilian Colours from NYC, is pretty nice!!!
Love catches like these.
June 15, 2012 at 9:11 am
Such bold colours, the blue is piercing! She (and the traffic cone!?) is an explosion of colour against that dull street backdrop. With that colour combo is anyone else seeing the national flag of Brazil!?
And I’m a sucker for cork heeled wedges!
Daywear at its best: confident, colourful, alluring and practical-looking.

Love that the traffic cone matches her so well.
June 15, 2012 at 9:18 am
What good colors! I like the occasional images where people appear carefree and without being advised of the photo.

Oh these colors catch the eye ! And what a serendipity that this traffic cone was just here when you caught your shot ! (except if you asked her to pose of course, but anyway, the pic is great !).
June 15, 2012 at 9:24 am
When will texting be passé as a fashion accessory?
Think how much better this picture would be if this woman was meeting your gaze, paying full attention, smiling, being present, not distracted and half aware of her surroundings. Not saying texting is bad. It’s just a little 5 minutes ago as a fashion statement.
June 15, 2012 at 9:28 am
What a lovely outfit. I really need a maxi skirt in that color.
Love the picture. Especially how she is standig.. With her leg and the earphones.
June 15, 2012 at 9:29 am
Very bold colors. Phonechecking again? :)))
June 15, 2012 at 9:31 am
Great colors. Even the cone! Love the dip of the back of the skirt.
June 15, 2012 at 9:33 am
Great photo. Yellow and blue are two colours that I love to mix. They complement each other beautifully.
I really like the vibrant colours, it does remind me of the Swedish flag though (I’m from Sweden).

a deep black background.
A georgous shot.
June 15, 2012 at 10:02 am
Oh, she is amazing! I love the bold colours and her natural pose) The cone is an added detail to her look)))
June 15, 2012 at 10:03 am
What I love about this picture is the cone beside her. The color echoing her ensemble, the shape mimicking her skirt. It could be argued by some that the cone is distracting, but to me, it keeps me inside the picture, reexamining all the details over and over again.
June 15, 2012 at 10:07 am
Me encanto que la imagen tenga relacion de colores con el cono de la calle, me parece muy interesante el juego que hizo el autor, love the outfit! besos
June 15, 2012 at 10:08 am
Great color mixing! Love it!
Nice bold colors : )
June 15, 2012 at 10:09 am
I like the color combo, that cone matching the blouse perfectly next to that vibrant blue. Is she texting ? At least we can see the back of that flowing skirt.
June 15, 2012 at 10:11 am

I like how the skirt flows from her body and mixes so well with the yellow top
June 15, 2012 at 10:27 am
Agree with Peg about everyone being on the phone or listening to music all the time (not safe when on the street and need to have all your senses working). Like it or not, it’s part of our world now. I offered an intern $200 to give me his phone for the weekend and he couldn’t do it! This UNPAID intern could have used even $100 dollars, but – no deal. I think that says it all. I hope one day something will replace this, tho don’t think I’ll live that long, and we will recognize this as a unique part of this period in history.
June 15, 2012 at 10:29 am
I have that skirt!!!!!!! but I wear it with white shirt! love the mood!
June 15, 2012 at 10:35 am
I really love the use of color and the candid nature of the shot! Love it!
June 15, 2012 at 10:40 am
Love this shot, Scott. It is a bit different to what we usually see on here with the subject not even knowing the camera is there. Beautiful.
June 15, 2012 at 10:50 am
hate the high-low.
love the colors.
June 15, 2012 at 10:52 am
June 15, 2012 at 10:53 am
Oh wow, LOVE these colors! Is that a happy accident that the traffic cone is the exact same shade of yellow/green? :)

June 15, 2012 at 10:54 am
Such a vibrant combination of colors! It’s as if the construction cone was made for the capture.
June 15, 2012 at 11:00 am
Brazilina girl for Macy’s!!!!!
June 15, 2012 at 11:01 am
Wonderful outfit. The yellow and blue look like they are meant to be, and the hem of her skirt brings the outfit to a whole new level. Color-blocking makes any outfit more interesting!
June 15, 2012 at 11:07 am
Ah, the a-line spills into the colors of Brazil with
a bohemian flare.
I want a bohemian elegance for my first novel cover.
I will be working on it this weekend, weather permitting.

really amazing photograph!
i love pictures of people from behind, they’re in some way personal, edgy and so casual!
Those heels and the cone behind her make the photo for me
June 15, 2012 at 11:12 am
This is a beautifully composed picture. The colors of her outfit, the traffic cone, and most of all her pose just grab my eye.
My only complaint is that I would love to hear more of the story of how it was made. Did she happen to be by the cone when you saw her or did you ask her to pose there? Did she come up with the fascinating angle of the foot or did you? Was the texting real or posed?
Or, am I prying into trade secrets?
Either way, Sart, it is another beautifully composed pic. Thank you.
June 15, 2012 at 11:16 am
I love bold colour blocking – something I first really noticed with the Samantha Jones character when Sex and the City first aired on HBO. She often wore bold contrasting colours like this woman here. I love that you caught the breeze inflating the back end of the skirt, highlighting its taper.
June 15, 2012 at 11:18 am
Love the colors! Was that cone planted?
June 15, 2012 at 11:29 am
I love the mix of those beautiful colors!
June 15, 2012 at 11:32 am
So nice picture ! Live the way the outfits are highlighted !
June 15, 2012 at 11:35 am
Love the contrast of colors here! :-)
June 15, 2012 at 11:37 am
Love those colors together!!
June 15, 2012 at 11:40 am
I love the way her skirt splays out as she walks or as the wind blows!
June 15, 2012 at 11:55 am
I think she planed her day around this cone. Clever girl.
June 15, 2012 at 11:59 am
beautiful and summery! :)
June 15, 2012 at 12:12 pm
The colors! And love her nonchalant stance.

June 15, 2012 at 12:20 pm
who made that skirt?
June 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm
Beautiful. Love the lines of the dress and the colors. For some some reason I’m reminded of a Vermeer painting, lol. Probably the colors.
June 15, 2012 at 1:14 pm
Cool photo ! I love all the colors, would never think of mixing that many bright together, but it works for her!

Thes colors are so vivid and fashion forward. Love the combination of the two. So casual and chic!
June 15, 2012 at 2:37 pm
Football (soccer) fever has currently descended upon Europe… therefore my guess would be that she’s wearing these colours as a statement of her support for either Sweden or the Ukraine…
June 15, 2012 at 2:46 pm
beautiful colors…but looks like every other picture is of someone on the phone!
June 15, 2012 at 2:52 pm
Beautiful colours and cuts. The wedges just tie it all together.

Such a gorgeous shot. I love the color combination and the way that her skirt is blowing in the wind. I also like that it doesn’t appear that she knows you’re taking her picture. Does she?
June 15, 2012 at 3:13 pm
Fantastic.. great match with the blouse and the cone :)
June 15, 2012 at 3:26 pm

I understand that this color-block thing is up-to-the-minute faddish, but I’m certain it is (like big shoulder pads) a trend about which we will one day be asking, “what were they thinking???…”
