Cobalt blue and yellow has to be one of my favourite colour combos! Love the asymmetric hem of her skirt! A simple yet striking look! Well-captured Scott!
Such bold colours, the blue is piercing! She (and the traffic cone!?) is an explosion of colour against that dull street backdrop. With that colour combo is anyone else seeing the national flag of Brazil!?
Oh these colors catch the eye ! And what a serendipity that this traffic cone was just here when you caught your shot ! (except if you asked her to pose of course, but anyway, the pic is great !).
When will texting be passé as a fashion accessory?
Think how much better this picture would be if this woman was meeting your gaze, paying full attention, smiling, being present, not distracted and half aware of her surroundings. Not saying texting is bad. It’s just a little 5 minutes ago as a fashion statement.

What I love about this picture is the cone beside her. The color echoing her ensemble, the shape mimicking her skirt. It could be argued by some that the cone is distracting, but to me, it keeps me inside the picture, reexamining all the details over and over again.
Me encanto que la imagen tenga relacion de colores con el cono de la calle, me parece muy interesante el juego que hizo el autor, love the outfit! besos
I like the color combo, that cone matching the blouse perfectly next to that vibrant blue. Is she texting ? At least we can see the back of that flowing skirt.
Agree with Peg about everyone being on the phone or listening to music all the time (not safe when on the street and need to have all your senses working). Like it or not, it’s part of our world now. I offered an intern $200 to give me his phone for the weekend and he couldn’t do it! This UNPAID intern could have used even $100 dollars, but – no deal. I think that says it all. I hope one day something will replace this, tho don’t think I’ll live that long, and we will recognize this as a unique part of this period in history.
Wonderful outfit. The yellow and blue look like they are meant to be, and the hem of her skirt brings the outfit to a whole new level. Color-blocking makes any outfit more interesting!
This is a beautifully composed picture. The colors of her outfit, the traffic cone, and most of all her pose just grab my eye.
My only complaint is that I would love to hear more of the story of how it was made. Did she happen to be by the cone when you saw her or did you ask her to pose there? Did she come up with the fascinating angle of the foot or did you? Was the texting real or posed?
Or, am I prying into trade secrets?
Either way, Sart, it is another beautifully composed pic. Thank you.
I love bold colour blocking – something I first really noticed with the Samantha Jones character when Sex and the City first aired on HBO. She often wore bold contrasting colours like this woman here. I love that you caught the breeze inflating the back end of the skirt, highlighting its taper.
Such a vibrant outfit. I adore yellow and blue together. This outfit very much reminds me of one you posted a couple of years ago that has always been a favourite of mine.
Football (soccer) fever has currently descended upon Europe… therefore my guess would be that she’s wearing these colours as a statement of her support for either Sweden or the Ukraine…
Such a gorgeous shot. I love the color combination and the way that her skirt is blowing in the wind. I also like that it doesn’t appear that she knows you’re taking her picture. Does she?
I understand that this color-block thing is up-to-the-minute faddish, but I’m certain it is (like big shoulder pads) a trend about which we will one day be asking, “what were they thinking???…”
