She has such a classic 1920s kind of beauty…first person I’ve seen this year who can actually pull off the turban thang. Somehow she makes it look like a jaunty hat–that’s a good thing.
Not many people could pull off a turban, but she does so brilliantly by pairing with the red lips. Gives her a very 1920′s vibe without being costume-y.
whowhatwear daily is pushing the turban – all of their pictures are very unconvincing. this girl is the first (and so far, only) person i’ve seen who gets it right. nice catch, sarto! -red
I think it’s a scarf too (that appears to be her hair at the top, not another wrap of a turban), but whatever it is, she pulls this look off perfectly. Deja Pseu, you’re right about her not looking too costume-y — she’s got that doll-eyed, Mary Pickford beauty, and the long lean shape, but the details aren’t too fussy and the toned-down color makes it look modern. I also adore the turned-back cuffs on her coat.
on the runways, the turbans looked kind of cool in the abstract kind of way, i feared that it would bring an onslaught of women looking like old hags and cancer patients. but the few real i’ve seen do this turban thing, do it well. it’s a beautiful look.

The turban disturbs me. On the runway and on the street.

Is that a turban? It looks like a scarf to me.
In any case, she somehow manages to look very modern and very 1920s at the same time. Very nice!

yes, she looks like a starlet from a bygone era. timeless but modern. i guess that’s what timelessness is really about.

So funny that she’s totally working it for you. Akimbo and everything. Strike a pose there’s nothing to it.

Definitely better off w/o the turban, but at least it doesn’t look so forced
great shoes.

Nice coat. But I’m in the mood for short cropped Balenciaga-esque coats right now.

The turban makes it irreverant, very Zelda Fitzgerald.
