A modern day cowboy. Love it.

I think those are some awesome pants. I like the shadow leaning towards the lower right corner too.
May 30, 2012 at 3:03 pm
flare for men is growing on me.
May 30, 2012 at 3:05 pm
This hombre is an urban cowboy! Love it! :)
May 30, 2012 at 3:07 pm
Seems very Great White Way, as though he would break into an elegant dance.
May 30, 2012 at 3:09 pm
The wide opening, wow.
Looks like early morning. I wonder how he’d look at midday..

Cowboy lost in NYC:) Love it:)
May 30, 2012 at 3:52 pm
cowboy or a man who is ready for an evening of the seventies?
May 30, 2012 at 3:55 pm
Nice picture. Kinda mysterious, like always. He looks really tall, in that kind of pants. What I really love is the lamppost ;p
May 30, 2012 at 3:56 pm
Ooh flares, it takes a brave man to tackle them! But this particular gentleman looks so clean and sharp, his silhouette is impeccable! He definitely carries them off with flair.

May 30, 2012 at 4:43 pm
A prince on Prince street.
May 30, 2012 at 4:49 pm
The prince of Prince Street. I am loving the slightly belled trousers and the hat makes the look sing.
May 30, 2012 at 4:50 pm
When I saw him I thought : 70s are back!!!! Happy :P
I was going to say the same thing! Moden day cowboy!!
May 30, 2012 at 4:52 pm
Swedish knit pants? Back to the future, indeed. I bought a pair in 7th grade, 1975-6, and wore them with Earth Shoes. Same boot cut and color, but with stitching along the outside seam.
May 30, 2012 at 4:56 pm
Several people mentioned a cowboy look, but I’m not getting that at all. Much more like one of the minor characters from Saturday Night Fever. Well spotted.
May 30, 2012 at 5:00 pm
Love his look!
Elegant brim, something I would expect to see in Cuba.
Kind of reminds me of Michael Jackson.

May 30, 2012 at 5:53 pm
Very thin white duke era Bowie.
May 30, 2012 at 6:07 pm
Sigh. This man’s look reminds me of my stylish dad (requiescat in pace). Dad was a blond but had the same sleek slight build and I have photos of us from the 70s where he was wearing the same type of slacks and shoes. So nice to see today — thanks.

A cowboy in NY!! So cool!!!
May 30, 2012 at 7:58 pm
Like your style dude
May 30, 2012 at 8:30 pm
He is as french as he can get, LOVE iT.. his name if… I’m not mistaken is Christopher Niquet, also Zac Posens partner and right arm. He is a great stylist and Ive always admired his own style.
May 30, 2012 at 8:57 pm
I imagine him to be David Tennant. Why?
May 30, 2012 at 9:25 pm
I really how this man he is dressed. Flare pants, a jeans shirt and this hat, everything is made to be classy but without exageration. So this is what we commonly call being “effortlessly chic” :).
May 30, 2012 at 10:12 pm
it’s too literal a mix of work wear and casual attire from a specific period….get it but not feeling it.
on the plus, tailoring seems unquestionable from the distance!
May 30, 2012 at 10:15 pm
This is an interesting look. You rarely see men wearing bootcut pants anymore. http://iconicres.tumblr.com/
May 30, 2012 at 10:43 pm
great. The background is perfect harmony with the character. very stylish.
May 30, 2012 at 10:47 pm
He’s a flamenco dancer…..
May 30, 2012 at 11:15 pm
The dressing is of retro style. I love it.
May 30, 2012 at 11:49 pm
I want that similar french cuff, especially the Tricolour buttons! Or maybe this shirt!
Anyway, reminds me of the first book cover… Good enough for the 2nd book cover? Hmm…
May 31, 2012 at 12:01 am
Wow very retro and well put together! Love the hat as well
May 31, 2012 at 1:56 am
I love how lean he is.
May 31, 2012 at 2:17 am
Fab! Love the flares.

May 31, 2012 at 3:37 am
wow, he looks so 70′s!
May 31, 2012 at 4:09 am
A me sembra più Tony Manero ;))))
May 31, 2012 at 4:13 am
So elegant and understated. A lot of thought must have gone into getting this look just right, yet it doesn’t look as if he’s trying too hard.
70′s are back, and better than ever! Love it!
May 31, 2012 at 4:14 am
May 31, 2012 at 4:21 am
Excellent hat, ghastly trousers.
May 31, 2012 at 4:35 am
Well hello there cowboy :) Makes me want to walk up to him just to find out if he’s got the accent.
May 31, 2012 at 4:40 am
To me he looks like he is ab0ut to break out in a dance. There is something Bob Fosse – Fred Astaire about the elegance and slim silhouette. This is one of my most favorite images from Sarto! So lovely.
May 31, 2012 at 5:26 am
Will flared pants fore Men come back? Well … maybe … Fashion is Cyclical after all.
May 31, 2012 at 5:38 am
The Bootcut is amazing. great picture!
May 31, 2012 at 6:06 am
Everyday should be a panama day, interesting ensemble for sure!
May 31, 2012 at 6:18 am
I’ve noticed this guy as well while I was walking to the gym yesterday…guess it was after you took this shot because I didn’t saw you…tooo bad!
May 31, 2012 at 6:25 am
Wow no other people in shot….trick photography…he looks sinister
May 31, 2012 at 6:43 am
yeah!! that’s a proper prince!!
May 31, 2012 at 6:52 am
NYC’s always inspiring…I’ve lived there just for two months and every corner deserves you a surprise.
I like the look
May 31, 2012 at 7:05 am
the trousers look fantastic on him – slender, elongated legs for a modern but elegant cow-boy style. I think he pulls it off quite impressively.
May 31, 2012 at 7:07 am
That takes a VERY confident man and a long lean build.
This guy has both. Meow!!
May 31, 2012 at 8:16 am
I said fedora, I meant panama!!
May 31, 2012 at 9:14 am
Like a vintage picture from 70s – eveything: the light, the whole outfit, buildings – all that things make retro mood, which is so natural, no studied. Great picture!
see my own story on:
May 31, 2012 at 9:24 am
Great photo! He looks so tall! He is like from 70′s.
May 31, 2012 at 9:56 am
The gentleman is stylist Christopher Niquet! He is brilliant!
May 31, 2012 at 10:02 am
I love the look from the waist up, but I’m not feeling the pants. I’m trying, but I just can’t! I think it might be the boots. Paired with the pants, maybe it’s too literal an interpretation of the 70s?
May 31, 2012 at 10:05 am
like de picture but not the pants…even it’s fashionable.
May 31, 2012 at 10:52 am
If not a timeless style…it could have been years ago or tomorrow. A great picture that lasts.
May 31, 2012 at 11:43 am
Incredible shot. Smashing shoes.
May 31, 2012 at 11:53 am
This is my dream hat!
May 31, 2012 at 12:28 pm
Reminds me of a modern day Fred Astaire – as if he might start dancing up the side of the building!
May 31, 2012 at 12:33 pm
Very Saturday Night Fever. The 70s are stayin’ alive
May 31, 2012 at 1:44 pm
I’m in love.
May 31, 2012 at 1:47 pm
There’s a femininity to this look. And man, is that guy skinny!
May 31, 2012 at 2:06 pm
I’m not usually a fan of flares, but he makes it work, a blend of styling and charisma that somehow works very nicely.
May 31, 2012 at 3:40 pm
Oh my … this guy has STYLE and I love those PANTS and will you LOOK at his ASS??!!????
May 31, 2012 at 3:54 pm
More men need to dress like this.
May 31, 2012 at 4:14 pm
Tough look for guys to pull off these days, but he looks very stylish! ;)
May 31, 2012 at 5:50 pm
He’s got style!
May 31, 2012 at 8:23 pm
I’ve never been to Argentina, but I sense that this look is something that might be seen there with some regularity.
June 1, 2012 at 4:33 am
Mick Jagger circa Tattoo You.
June 1, 2012 at 8:01 am
A beautiful man with lean physique and a unique style…but certainly no resemblance to a cowboy. No western style in this ensemble. Agree that it is more 70′s retro.
June 1, 2012 at 10:17 am
This reminds me of photos of my father that I find in old albums and even older shoeboxes around the house. The first half of this look is obviously very cool and stylish, but once I scrolled down and saw the flare and the shoes – wow.
June 1, 2012 at 10:25 am
Hmmmmm…. 1972 or 2012 ? Looks like a costume party ensemble or a literal interpetation of the 70s rather than modern fashion
But still enjoyable and sexy
June 1, 2012 at 12:13 pm
Is that a 70s comeback I detect? Nice!
June 1, 2012 at 12:56 pm
I have mixed feelings about this outfit. I am not sure if an average Joe can pull off this ensemble without the proper lighting and great photography we are seeing right now. It does look chic on this guy.
June 1, 2012 at 12:58 pm
So lean and stylish. Flamenco and a wee bit sleezy.
June 1, 2012 at 4:41 pm
is he a dancer? i think he looks like a great dancer.
June 1, 2012 at 5:39 pm
Oh, he’s really a ‘dandy’!
June 1, 2012 at 8:16 pm
He is just great!
I was wondering, how in the world did you not get stuck in a crazy crowd on Prince? If this was at Broadway and Prince, this is a rare moment!
June 1, 2012 at 8:20 pm
This could go so wrong, but it doesn´t! Well done!
June 1, 2012 at 9:53 pm
Love it. _A Chequered Past_ vibe, minus the phone.
June 1, 2012 at 10:28 pm
He look’s amazing! Wish I could see what he’ll be wearing tomorrow>
June 3, 2012 at 3:49 am

Love this flamenco man…OLÉ!
June 10, 2012 at 6:28 am
I like that you captured the man with the flared pants on Prince street! ;)
June 21, 2012 at 8:48 am
June 23, 2012 at 4:05 pm
I’d say more Colombian drug lord clinging to lates 70s disco than cowboy. He looks like a villain from an early 80s action movie.
June 26, 2012 at 5:25 am
It obviously is Christopher Niquet & beautiful. i love it.
June 26, 2012 at 6:50 pm
A man walking to the beat of his own drum. I want to follow in line with him. love it love it
