This is fantastic. It looks like the Selma Blair haircut in March American Vogue but it looks better on the woman in your photo. I rarely like blonde on non-potentially natural blondes but the blanc blonde is perfect on her. Very sexy and elegant. Great catch.
This is incredible. As a grown up punk I just love it when the whole community can see that this is beautiful and stylish and still kicking the mainstream’s butt. I venture to say this woman will never find a more flattering hair cut. Thanks so much for posting this. I love the other posts, but I prefer to see the edgier, more subcultural styles. Otherwise its just rich new yorkers buying thousand dollar winter coats.
if i could have crazy (and by crazy i mean fantastic) hair like that and still be able to go to work without being fired, I’d do it! i love it. she looks amazing!
I saw this woman on the subway about 2 months ago and couldn’t stop staring at her. I sooo regretted not telling her how fabulous she looked; there isn’t enough random complimenting in NYC so I wanted to start something. Great catch!
what makes this a great photo is the woman, not the haircut. she probably looks that good every day. imagine that.mohawks, moded or other, are on a 5 year cycle. wake up!
Sartorialist, as with a great many of your photos, the painterly quality in this one is just stunning. The light on her hair is so lush, soft and beautiful that it seems surreal…the way the whitish architectural lines in the background trail off…the sharp line of her collar leading the eye into her beautiful and intense face. You have done this beautiful subject justice, per usual! Can’t stop staring.
Hello! I am the girl in the photo. Thank you for all the wonderful comments! Some of you recognized the Selma Blair cut. Garren of Garren New York cut and styled it for the March Vogue and then soon after gave me the same cut. The day of the photo I had gotten my roots done by Alexis Canoura of Garren New York.
Hi this is Rihanna like her stylist Ursula stephen Rihanna asked her to cut her hair like Charlize Theron in the movie "Aeon Flux" which iv'e seen it is a difficult cut and not many can pull it off, so tell me who is responsible for this cut? i want it.

I had my hair cut like this for a while, except that I had bleached the mohawk and dyed it various colors. People loved it.
