These French Vogue girls always look great. Another fantastic shot Mr Satorialist!

Paris c’est la ville plus belle du monde, n’est pas?
March 21, 2007 at 8:29 am
It’s all about those pink shoes. How women can walk on heels like that I’ll never know.
March 21, 2007 at 8:39 am
wow, she looks fantastic, simple and fantastic! Great coat, great jeans, and the shoes, they give that extra something!
March 21, 2007 at 9:17 am
oh, i love the shoes, the bag, the way those jeans delineate her fabulous legs! *jealous*
March 21, 2007 at 9:23 am
i LOVE LOVE her shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!can someone tell me where they are from?
March 21, 2007 at 9:32 am
very simple… nice!
March 21, 2007 at 9:54 am
I really like the shoes. They look like ballet slipers with heels!
March 21, 2007 at 10:00 am
I love those miu miu shoess!!!!
March 21, 2007 at 10:05 am
I love that she added the pink shoes– black would have been boring. aw
March 21, 2007 at 10:06 am
I think I may want to marry her
March 21, 2007 at 10:08 am
She’s pretty, and I love your work, but this is one of the least inspired looks you’ve shown in a long time.
March 21, 2007 at 10:25 am
Oooh, are those Miu Miu shoes? They are gorgeous! The pink and that particular blue of the jeans go well together.
March 21, 2007 at 10:51 am
that girl is perfect. the length on those jeans is exactly right.
March 21, 2007 at 11:26 am
Not only are the jeans unusual but the light wash is really unusual. Everything has been dark, dark wash for the last few years. Can’t mistake her for wearing the “mom jeans” though; especially with the great fit and the ultra-it Givenchy hand bag.

March 21, 2007 at 11:48 am
fabulous! especially how she pairs them with those heels! hotness!
March 21, 2007 at 11:52 am
What else is there to say?
March 21, 2007 at 12:19 pm
That Melanie got it goin’ on!
March 21, 2007 at 12:20 pm
Very chic indeed!! The jeans fit perfectly on her. I think she was probably being “anti-establishment” by wearing jeans to the shows in Paris.
March 21, 2007 at 12:24 pm
I pretty much like everything about her outfit but the wash of the denim. I feel that a darker wash would have made the look come together more. I adore he length of her jeans though.
March 21, 2007 at 12:26 pm
I like how the very minimal coat still looks so feminine on her.
March 21, 2007 at 12:36 pm
with her legs she could be wearing a paper bag and still look great. but i agree with the comment that this is not a very inspired look. but it is classic, and a classic done well is worth just as much.
March 21, 2007 at 1:36 pm
Amazing how she manages to look so funky in an outfit that could go so horribly wrong (stilettos and tight jeans!) if just one detail is out of place. Even the bag size is perfect (too small would be overly precious, too big would be precarious).
I wonder if she had the jeans tailored like that…she must have…can’t imagine finding anything that perfect-fitting off the rack.
March 21, 2007 at 1:37 pm
spectacular!! images like these are the ones that make me love skinny jeans! so chic!!
March 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm
those legs would make a pair of bloomers look amazing
March 21, 2007 at 2:55 pm
I am coveting her shoes in a serious way…pink.
March 21, 2007 at 3:39 pm
THE SHOES ARE MIU MIU I BELIEVE…
March 21, 2007 at 3:42 pm
although i’ve seen a very similar model by Alexander McQueen in Tan color
March 21, 2007 at 3:53 pm
love the givenchy bag! amazing outfit.post more often, would you? ;)
March 21, 2007 at 4:25 pm
any idea who the jeans are by?
March 21, 2007 at 4:42 pm
hey…i really like the name of your blog. I am completely enthralled by what it might mean. Sartorialist? What does it mean?
March 21, 2007 at 5:03 pm
Carine Roitfeld sure knows how to train them. Looking good Melanie!
March 21, 2007 at 5:13 pm
so simple, so nice! I really love her pink shoes
March 21, 2007 at 6:37 pm
This is a look made for her, or she is made for this look … sure, with those legs and that face, she could look good in anything, but she looks *better* in this one … and yes, this look could go very wrong on the wrong person!
March 21, 2007 at 7:21 pm
i think its strange that i’m posting to this blog. i’m a straight married 34 year old architect with a recent interest in fashion. i’ve been watching the sartorialist blog for a couple weeks, but never felt compelled to post. but now…did you happen to get that girl’s name and number. good god. i’ll rise above my animal nature long enought to say…nice outfit. i like it a lot. nice shoes, too. but those legs. and that smile….ouch.
March 22, 2007 at 3:05 am

March 22, 2007 at 5:43 pm
On anyone else this would look really bad
March 22, 2007 at 6:15 pm

Thanks for sharing these photos. It does seem helpful to see what these jeans look like in various backdrops wearing these outfits. Good post.

I love the look, yes, you do not see blue jeans that would fit so amazingly!
