Brilliant style. Refreshing. The first one looks as if he’s stepped out of an old early 1960′s Kodak advertisement.
Gosh, how I wish American men would emulate these two fellows.

They look great, although I could do without the tote bag. I love their sport coats.

The man in the second photo looks so good! Love the combo of the embroidered pants with plaid shirt, tweed, etc. Very nice mixing of fabrics and color.

LOVE the cuffed, ankle-length trousers. So refreshing.
I keep seeing men in trousers that are cuffed, and too-short. Not intentionally short, as with this man, but unintentionally–and therefore semi-tragically–short, thus rendering the men sadly out of whack.
I saw a man in Starbuck’s with the tragically-too-short cuffed trousers yesterday, and I had to stop myself asking him why his wife let him out of the house that way. Yeeeeowch, I’m catty.

The pants on the man in the 2nd photo are brilliantly subversive. The quintessential preppy “go to hell” pants turned upside down (culturally)…

Sam, you made the pants to short….

i love the red slacks! They remind me of the jcrew critter pants. An interesting choice in a sea of black and boring.

Hmm … A bit to Ralph Lauren for my liking

I do not like the lengh of the pants either – not flattering at all!

in the first picture, the top ensemble is wonderful and then the length of those pants just become awkward.

The jacket, the sweater, the bow tie, the pant length and the cuff!! Can this man get any better?! (the answer, a resounding NO!)

I like the style of the man in the second picture. Nice urban-country-style. He reminds me the american country version of one of my personal elegance icon: Mr Philippe Daverio, another milanese.
The style of the first man is still very nice, but somehow too typically… "Japanese who wears american style clothes". And the lengh of the pants is too short for my taste. The short-cut is a typical japanese element. It's interesting, but it works only if you are not very tall: in Tokyo it seems quite standard now: I often see men who want to be elegant but fashionable with very short pants.
