What a cutie!
Not a look that anyone can pull off.
She does it beautifully, without looking crazy or even too sexy.
May 8, 2012 at 9:08 am
It took a long time till you came back to Berlin. Glad you did it! You captured the vibe brilliant and it’s actually funny that you shot Bonnie! :D
I always love to shoot here.

I’m really liking the hair action. She’s like a rock ‘n roll fairy from a 50s diner in a Madonna video.

When you are young you can pretty much wear ANYTHING and look good. My daughter is 19 yrs old and she just never looks bad. I don’t ever remember feeling I looked good in anything at her age. Now in my fifties it seems I have to work harder to look casual and comfortable and stylish. I get a lot of my new fashion sense from watching my daughter and how she dresses. It is a feat to look fashionable at 50 and not silly or childish.
May 8, 2012 at 9:42 am

By the way, yikes! I remember this look from the 1980s. I’m getting old now. To my teenage daughter it’s vintage.

Oooohhhhh! Love this – everything is striking. Your photography. Her *yellow* (not “blonde”) hair. The bandana and those awesome striped pants. All brought down to earth by the simple, white Keds.

Bonnie Strange is pretty much the opposite of sophistication.
May 8, 2012 at 12:48 pm
Cute Madonna look. and to Connie: you did look adorable, you just didnt know it! Ive seen pics of myself at that age and thought, why did I criticize my looksso much, I was skinney and cute!! Youth!
May 8, 2012 at 12:49 pm
What a babe… I’m convinced this can only be pulled off with a face like that. At first glance I thought she was a model. Her face reminds me of models’ (youthful, androgynous, attractive).
And totally surprised this is Berlin. I was thinking it would be some more tropical place.
May 8, 2012 at 12:50 pm
ich liebe berlin!!

Funny that you shot Bonnie Strange. But every time I see her in Mitte, she always pops out of the crowd. The most gorgeous Berlin girl by far!

Now that’s style–the ability to wear a cami-bra outfit as casually as an old t-shirt and jeans. (However, I suspect that simply being in Berlin raises the style quotient of almost any outfit a few points… dang, I love that city.)
May 8, 2012 at 1:20 pm

May 8, 2012 at 4:25 pm
How fitting that she has– what looks like– a Hermes scarf wrapped around a golden coiffure. . Some of my favorite artists in music; Bowie/Eno , in painting; German Expressionists, and literature; Christopher Isherwood, did their best work in Berlin.
May 8, 2012 at 4:59 pm

Thats is so awesome and sporty. Love the slacks with the top. Showing the top half of the stomach is so right and perfectly done with the belly button covered. Her face is perfect, and I LOVE the scarf.

May 9, 2012 at 10:02 am
Lovely girl. So feminine. And she looks so comfortable.
I love high-waisted pants, but they are nearly impossible to find in Toronto, at least. Even slender women, unless they are emaciated, develop a muffin top in low rise pants.
Then there is the other problem. I watched with some discomfiture recently a young mother bend over to place her purchases in the tray underneath her baby buggy. I and all the men behind her were treated to a generous display of her bottom. Oh, dear. I’m sure she would have died if she had known. I debated whether to mention it or not, but opted for a quiet life.
fabulous! she can carry the look well, she looks decent. :)

I think the scarf updo is the best part of the outfit…something bright and cheery about it…perhaps because it’s such a contrast to her black and white ensemble.
May 9, 2012 at 12:09 pm
Love this photo! Adorable!
May 9, 2012 at 1:39 pm
How funny that you met model Bonnie Strange. Was this by incident? This must be a pic made in summer because even in a mild spring Berlin would never be warm enough to wear an outfit like that…

She is an uber cutie.
Love everything about her look, from her blonde hair and Betty Boop head scarf to her bra top, necklace, striped trousers, and down to her perfect selection in sneakers. About the only thing I would add is a wristwatch. I have a fetish for women who wear wristwatches, the bigger the better.
