Wow great shot !
Nice look! She dressed the blouse wonderful down with her biker boots. Also, the belt is a nice detail!
WOW! Makes me speechless… A piece of art.
April 16, 2012 at 8:13 am
That outfit is sheer perfection! Love that ladylike blouse with the decidedly boyish boots and upturned jeans, and the LV bag is the icing on the cake!
April 16, 2012 at 8:14 am
Somehow she evokes a returning very cool jillaroo.
April 16, 2012 at 8:17 am

GREAT mix & match~!!!
April 16, 2012 at 8:43 am
Few years ago if a girl just dared to walk around Alphabet City with a LV bag she would have got a 100% chances of being mugged. Today, instead, you can see gorgeous girls like this one.
April 16, 2012 at 8:45 am
Amazing. Perfect combo of femininity and rugged toughness while caught in some gorgeous light. Thank you for this one, I feel inspired.

The kind of delicate transparences I like a lot…
April 16, 2012 at 9:41 am
I love the contrast between light skin and the delicate tone of her blouse and red lipstick! The boots give that aggressive touch that never hurts but I admit that I probably would have preferred a nice pair of heels! Beatiful light and photo..:)

April 16, 2012 at 9:42 am
toned down punk chick…
April 16, 2012 at 9:48 am
Who is she?
She’s an immigrant at the port of entry in NYC circa 1912. She is strong willed young woman who left her family behind for the opportunities that only America could give her. She wears pants made of denim like many men who wear them to work. Jeans were not fashionable. They were a necessity as money was scarce and long days of rough labor were ahead.
Her blonde hair is up in a discreet bun showing her Polish facial features. A bow around her neck and red lips the only sign of femininity and strength softening her defusing gaze.
Her luggage? None. Yet she bought a simple carry-on as she landed in NYC from vendors selling items collected from a recent wreckage. Which of course, they would make a movie from which would break sales records. A ship they said was unsinkable.
All this from your picture.
November 3, 2016 at 10:45 pm
She looks more like a Paris Hilton look alike then anything else. See thru shirt, check. Loew rise, too tight pants, check.
April 16, 2012 at 9:49 am
All the elements are there – nice blouse, nice jeans, scuzzy background, terrific light. But somehow she looks a mess. Just goes to show that carrying an expensive bit of luggage doesn’t wave a magic wand.
April 16, 2012 at 9:53 am
The girl travels light, but in style. Ensemble looks like a modern version of the Calvin Klein ads from the early 80′s starring Brooke Shields. Check them out on youtube…they’re rather amusing, if not a little cheesy!
April 16, 2012 at 9:54 am
C est ce que l on appelle, l élégance !
I absolutely love this! The juxtaposition of styles – ladylike blouse and boyish jeans/boots – is perfect. And the bog LV bag is a real eye catcher with the otherwise simple outfit.
April 16, 2012 at 9:55 am
what a maxi bag, in love:)))
April 16, 2012 at 9:56 am
Avenue A’s bohemian spirit may have been waned a bit, but she exudes the verve of its SLAVES OF NEW YORK days.
April 16, 2012 at 10:02 am
I like the combination of tender silk blouse and rough grungy boots, but a bit tired from LV monogram.
April 16, 2012 at 10:07 am
April 16, 2012 at 10:09 am
she looks like Evan Rachel Wood!
April 16, 2012 at 10:27 am
Rough & tough + soft & ladylike = CHIC
Love the Camisal ! So poetic
April 16, 2012 at 10:39 am
I love a good juxtaposition of elements, such as her delicate features and sheer blouse with the sturdy jeans and boot, capped with the designer bag. I love an outfit that, if you describe it to someone, sounds like a fashion faux pas, but when you see it in this lovely photo, it totally works.
April 16, 2012 at 10:52 am
That blouse is so cute!!!
April 16, 2012 at 11:00 am
oh wow, I love how she stands. love her outfit :)
April 16, 2012 at 11:17 am
She looks like a little girl running away from home. I love this photo, and the girl and her outfit.
April 16, 2012 at 11:22 am
i love the lady like shirt and red lips mixed with biker boots!
April 16, 2012 at 11:36 am

What a badass. This outfit rules.
April 16, 2012 at 11:42 am
Totally in love!! xoxo
April 16, 2012 at 11:47 am
Oops! Excuse the bad grammar of my first comment; should read, “may have waned”.
Also, the delicate, sheer fabric of the blouse contrasts nicely with the rigid jeans and rough boots; and makes the black bra a bold part of the ensemble.
April 16, 2012 at 11:54 am
Love this outfit !!!
April 16, 2012 at 12:05 pm

Love the look. Especially her awesome LV bag! <3
une chatte grise
April 16, 2012 at 12:39 pm
Great outfit! The boots look like Red Wings–aka The Best Boots Ever–and the rolled sleeves & dark bra make the otherwise-fussy blouse work beautifully. The look is even cool enough to mostly offset that unpleasant bag, and that’s an accomplishment!
April 16, 2012 at 12:40 pm
Such a sweet day look.. and the sunlight seems perfect in NY.
April 16, 2012 at 12:41 pm
Love those jeans, does anyone know the brand?
April 16, 2012 at 12:43 pm

April 16, 2012 at 1:26 pm

April 16, 2012 at 1:27 pm

April 16, 2012 at 1:28 pm
This blouse is amazing! Where would I be able to go to look at other styles similar to this? I found this blouse (http://amzn.to/HLblgD) and it’s kind of similar, but not nearly as sheer.
antique engagement rings
Obsessed with this look… she pulls it off perfectly!
Those are some of the best-fitting jeans ever, damn her. Beauteous shot, btw. Looks like it could’ve been pulled from a glossy, oversized, european mag.
April 16, 2012 at 1:29 pm
Nice look, I’d totally do that.

April 16, 2012 at 3:01 pm
This has to be one of my favorite shots.
April 16, 2012 at 3:18 pm
Two words: Biker Chic.
For the photo, I love the way the posed angle highlights the hair, and love the choice of background. It really accentuates the feel of the outfit.
As far as the outfit, it’s perfectly choreographed contrast, from hair to steel-toe:
April 16, 2012 at 3:32 pm
wonderful shot! …and a shirt like:)
April 16, 2012 at 3:43 pm
Some outfits tell stories and this is one of those. This girl got everything. I would love to have the mode d’emploi on how to roll your jeans over your bike boots this way.
I adore how she stares directly into the camera – such a strong pose. A really cool look.

very striking photo….great pose and intense look…love new york street style!!!
April 16, 2012 at 5:22 pm
I love the coquettish blouse contrasted with the rough-and-tumble boots! And the big LV is right on the money. I’ve been rolling up my pants, above boots like that, for years. Nice to see such a stylish person doing it too.
I have to say: the accessories are, for me, a no.

April 16, 2012 at 11:09 pm
Who would of thought a shirt that show your bra would look so COOL!
April 16, 2012 at 11:32 pm
WOWOWOWOW. I’m looking for a new look and I am head over heels for this. It’s feminine and lovely but totally edgy. Perfect! I love it.
April 16, 2012 at 11:45 pm
I love the way the pieces are all put together into this look. I wouldn’t think these items work well together but this girl definitely pulls the whole look off.
April 17, 2012 at 12:13 am
I love her shirt!
April 17, 2012 at 12:18 am

Oh wow, I love everything about this look, strong & sexy.

April 17, 2012 at 8:02 am
Really like the fact that she’s not wearing high heels with the rest of her outfit! :-)
April 17, 2012 at 8:23 am
April 17, 2012 at 8:25 am
That is a very unflattering pair of jeans, but otherwise, the picture is very pretty. I sure hope my hips look better then that. It must be the jeans, because she is obviously slender.
April 17, 2012 at 8:43 am
am loving the no-sun looks to your photos these days…esp. in the younger set!
April 17, 2012 at 8:45 am
I think I have seen jeans like that at Target. You can pretty much buy low rise stright jeans anywhere. But NO. I don’t think anyone could actually guess at where those jeans are made. They are just too common looking. Maybe Lucky brand. Maybe & for all Mankind. Something like that judging by her bag.
April 17, 2012 at 8:48 am
this look seems very masculine, even the top (rolled sleeves and the way the bow is tied resembles to the line of a tie) but is made feminine by the girl’s delicate features, the red lips and the beautiful hairstyle. i really like it…apart from the LV bag, a bit much for me but nevertheless it’s an inspiring outfit.

April 17, 2012 at 10:52 am
I love everything about this look! She is beyond lovely!!
April 17, 2012 at 10:55 am
@ Luce, nicely said! Although I am pretty sure if she did any labour those pants would split down the backside. They look like she can’t even sit down! However, I absolutely agree about the very slavic features, intense stare, and lovely retro make up. She has that adventurous spirit.
April 17, 2012 at 11:16 am
What a great look, I have to try and copy it :) I guess it’s called a strong inspiration ;)

Great! I love the shirt!
April 18, 2012 at 8:48 pm
I like this so much I forgive her the logo bag. So great to see someone stylish and beautiful in footwear enabling regular movement. I don’t normally like jeans turned up over boots but she has such long legs it works, lucky thing.
April 19, 2012 at 3:10 am
Her hair reminds me of Tin Tin – hungry & ready for adventure. Lovely lips n attitude.
April 19, 2012 at 11:58 am
Okay, I’ll put it nicely; she looks like a drug dealer from Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction.
April 19, 2012 at 4:05 pm

April 21, 2012 at 12:46 pm
I loooooove this look! The mix of a soft chemise and dark jeans is just fantastic! And to top that off, the boots yes… great combination!
April 24, 2012 at 2:21 am
Love the mix. Romantic blouse with a tie band no less, and hard jeans and work boots. I wish the bag were not LVMH, cuz it looks like a stylist’s work. A nice generic would be perfect. But the photo and the girl are truly lovely.
April 24, 2012 at 2:24 am
Love the mix of romantic blouse with a tie band no less, and the hard jeans and great manly workboots. So cool. I prefer another handbag, lvmh is just everywhere and not pretty, just showy. But the girl and photo are fab!
April 24, 2012 at 5:47 pm

selvedge jeans and frye boots… she’s awesome!
May 2, 2012 at 1:48 pm
She looks like a girl in the equestrian circuit trying to run away from home. I love how the someone gritty habitat is juxtaposed to her young and innocent look. But innocent girls don’t skulk around Avenue A with a weekend bag…(insert wink)
