Love the dominance of that beautiful red scarf!
April 5, 2012 at 4:07 pm
Really great look.
I love that you’ve been featuring so many stylish women wearing flat shoes or boots. These doc martins are so classic and edgy, and I think all too often we feel that we’re not really pulled together unless we’re wearing a pair of high heels.
I have a pair of Hush Puppies boots that I’m wearing a lot, and I always feel like ‘oh I’m not properly dressed’ because I should have a bit of heel.
Still not sure, have a look: http://natashafatah.blogspot.ca/2012/03/be-original.html
Let me know what you think.

I love her look. I am a fan of boots and I don’t do high heels. I never wear anything over 2.5 inches and rarely wear that. Her look is definitely something I would wear only I am not as beautiful as she is.

Porcelin skin, dark hair and blue eyes- she is darling – and a classic toggle coat is always the best! I nabbed my dad’s with black watch lining and had it fitted for me!
April 5, 2012 at 10:10 pm
Wow. I love how she pairs that red scarf with neutral/dark tones and then goes for it with the biker boots. Really awesome look.

Does anyone know where the bag can be bought?
April 6, 2012 at 10:10 am
Trying again. Sorry, vision problem. She is prepared to handle what comes her way or get to it on her own. She can blend and also pop. She can be hoisted on the back of a passing steed with full cooperation and assistance. If you feel wowed, it is because she is unposessed by anyone but herself. She is a special force. Do not approach unless invited. She will read you and give you a nod, or rotate away. Count yourself lucky to have spotted the Avatar when she allowed herself to be exposed. Stand down.
April 6, 2012 at 11:43 am
What attitude and yet, what beauty! She looks fierce but also kind of vulnerable at the same time. What a beautiful, well captured shot Scot!
April 6, 2012 at 1:11 pm
Erin – the bag is by Jerome Dreyfuss, called the Billy. not sure if that color is currently available, but it looks like “moka”.
April 6, 2012 at 1:56 pm
can never go wrong with a red scarf.
April 6, 2012 at 4:22 pm

Great scarf and love the Doc Martens.
April 7, 2012 at 12:29 am
Why are all the people in your pictures either young women, young men, or older men?
Why is it that men can age while still staying fashionable while women are not allowed this convince. After the age of 50, should women be shunned away because their faces no longer radiate youthful beauty? Men are more respected as they age and as women are declared equal, women of age should equally be respected as fashionable.
Let every person remain beautiful and a subject of admiration without biased prejudices.

April 7, 2012 at 3:15 pm
your blog is so beautiful. i love it!
April 7, 2012 at 4:23 pm
Not a common length, but really cool scarf. I also like the hint of pale pattern behind her coat, especially the length of the garment in comparison to the coat. It seems to me that the bottom half of her is “edgy” and the top is “pretty and girly”, she mixes it together well.
April 7, 2012 at 8:17 pm
I love her hand holding softly the scarf, like a renacentist picture. Saludos from Venezuela ¡

Interesting framing. The line of her coat perfectly matches the line of her legs, and her shirt perfectly matches the line of the wall. Makes her legs look longer than they are. Purposeful or coincidence?
April 9, 2012 at 2:30 pm
…and jerome dreyfuss billy bag…great
April 9, 2012 at 4:41 pm
Von epp, i was noticing the same thing. She looks like she’s splitting in half. I’m guessing this wasn’t intentional, but it is very interesting none the less.
April 9, 2012 at 11:15 pm
Thanks to your photos of Aya T Kanai a couple of years ago, I renewed my love of Doc Martens. 11 pairs later…. great way to be comfy but add something different to an outfit. I am a high school teacher and the kids love it. Skirt, jacket, tights and a pair of spangled of boots keeps them guessing.
April 10, 2012 at 12:42 am
beautiful face. period.

This is my all time favourite picture you’ve ever posted to the Sartorialist. I love it: the shoes, the jeans, the blue jacket, the scarf… She looks so perfect, and she reminds me a lot of Ellen Page. that is amazing.

The girl with the red scarf. Her hands are so delicate and graceful — she could be a student of art, or perhaps a future surgeon. This is photography at it’s best. Another museum piece.
