Yes, there’s definitely a strong sense of spring here in the semi-bared legs. I really like the first look’s play on proportion and ger scarf is gorgeous.

I love the stance of the first woman. And how she’s dealing with the transitional weather – some leg exposed, but a warm coat up top.
I adore the “van Gogh” sunflower coat in the second pic, but the floaty skirt underneath is too light for it. Not digging the shoes at all!
Both women are gorgeous!
I love the braids in the first one!
March 28, 2012 at 9:37 am
the coat in the second photo is to die for! so cute and vintage looking!
March 28, 2012 at 9:50 am
I love this second photo! Beautiful girl!
March 28, 2012 at 9:53 am
Gorgeous! One of my most favorite of your recent posts.

The second girl looks a bit like N. Vodianova.

I think that the girl in the first picture is ubercool!
March 28, 2012 at 10:26 am
Both are beautiful! The coat of the second girl is just lovely. Especially because in a city like New York even when late spring coats are always needed.

the words that come to mind when i view these photos are comfort and hope. not comfort in a settled way, but in more of a maternal way- comfort knowing the sun promises to ease in warmth and new found inspiations.
i find the look on these women’s faces beautiful, and their choice of clothing inspiring. they both look like they’re about to do something meaningful and creative.
March 28, 2012 at 3:06 pm
The first girl’s scarf and hair are amazing, the hair especially. Such a beautifully effective way to keep it out of her face.
The second girl’s coat is just sensational.
The weather invites to bear skin.
March 28, 2012 at 3:30 pm
What beautiful women! They both have a very classic look, and almost seem to be giving a knowing smirk to the coming Spring. Great taste, as well… love those coats.
March 28, 2012 at 3:52 pm
the girl on top looks great
March 28, 2012 at 5:10 pm
Great pictures, they both look so adorably cosy.
March 28, 2012 at 5:21 pm
I love that flowery coat, beautiful,
March 28, 2012 at 5:24 pm
The vintage appeal of these outfits is great, especially because it seems so unintentional. The beautiful dress in the second image I recognize as a Tucker by Gaby Basora print – timeless.
March 28, 2012 at 5:44 pm
I love the showing-off of shin and ankle, respectively. It’s like a little window of skin – a little break from fabric. Plus, the way you shot the second photo, in terms of being just in a shadow to the side of the sunlight – it’s beautiful.
March 28, 2012 at 7:05 pm
The light in the first picture is just so beautiful! There’s something about the proportions of the heavy jacket over rolled up pants that really appeals to me – normally I would tend to think it looks a bit half-dressed, but not so here….and that scarf is wonderful!
March 28, 2012 at 9:26 pm
I love those pants and boots from the first picture! I’ve been wanting comfy, athletic type pants for a very long time now. I’ve noticed quite a few pictures of beige coats recently, a new fetish perhaps? Nice length on the first coat. Very interesting coat on the second girl too!
March 28, 2012 at 9:35 pm
I love the second picture!
March 28, 2012 at 10:22 pm
Loving the bursts of colour.
Et tu, tutu?
March 28, 2012 at 10:59 pm

The girl on top looks great! A little masculine, a little retro. Very cute.
March 29, 2012 at 9:19 pm
Spring in NYC is the greatest unveiling of women. We see budding colorful toes, and vanilla skin… and of course new trends interpreted.
March 30, 2012 at 10:07 am
The second girl look so amazingly peaceful.
March 30, 2012 at 10:54 am
Amazing looks…Love the second coat!

I wonder what she’s thinking. But i feel warm looking at them!
March 31, 2012 at 9:46 pm
The lighting! So amazing and hopeful.
April 1, 2012 at 1:34 pm
The joy of dressing for spring is nowhere greater than in Canada, where after a long and snowy winter we get to shed our layers. You need to come to Canada to see how we interpret style regardless of the season! Toronto, especially, which is equal parts New York and Europe!
April 1, 2012 at 5:25 pm
Love the coat of the second picture!
I can’t wait to pack all my heavy coats away……

Love the pictures. Love Spring.
April 2, 2012 at 10:42 am
I am so proud to be in the city of these two beautiful women. Here in NY there is such a vast amount of artistic aesthetic applied to the dress. I love it, no restrictions, just beauty.
April 2, 2012 at 12:35 pm
I`m sick of leather jackets.
It´s already a boring visual
April 2, 2012 at 1:53 pm
First girl is ultracool.
April 3, 2012 at 9:23 am
Wow, I love the marigold-hue and florals bursting from the coat in the bottom shot. Gorgeous! I’ll be looking back to these just for fun and sheer amusement.
April 3, 2012 at 1:46 pm
In reply to our Canadian counterparts :)
Yes absolutely, Toronto has great sense of style mixing the elements of both North American and European style! Some people say we dont have good style in Canada, and I have to completely disagree with them! I’d love to see pics like this taken from our street style to show the world what we’ve got!
I love these pictures- the colours and the easy almost peasant like style that one can see here- its beautiful!
April 6, 2012 at 5:54 am
The top shot has great light. It looks like late afternoon, with golden light and long shadows.
Which reminds me, a lot of the midday shots have burnt out highlights, which is a common enough problem. A polarizing filter could reduce reflections and glare, provide better contrast and more saturated colours.
Could be worth a shot if you have too shoot during the brightest hours of the day.
April 7, 2012 at 12:46 am
I love everything about the first picture. The scarf is so pretty!
April 7, 2012 at 7:31 pm
WOW THAT GIRL ON THE BOTTOM IS A BABE I THINK I LOVE HER
April 9, 2012 at 2:11 am
