You must have an exceptionally strong memory to remember your images from two years ago. Nice to see the contrast, especially that the same coat was worn by a man and a woman.

It’s a flipping beautiful coat. Many winter coats, jackets and cardigans are suitable for men and women, as well as being classic. I just bought a Nuur cardigan form Yoox and I adore it!

What I love about this is that it puts gender and newness aside and emphasizes quality. I also love the idea of a short story about characters that are connected across time and space by way of the clothes they wear.

    March 26, 2012 at 11:26 pm

I’ve always been on the border about unisex dressing, but this coat pushes me towards an outstanding yes! Both have a very neutral palette. I don’t have a preference towards more layered up or down, though I do love her furry collar and his casual shades look. A timelessly great coat can’t be upstaged.
Also good to know that there are other people out there who have a keen memory for what they have seen years previous. I still to this day remember outfits I wore 10+ years ago, or clothing I saw that changed my life.

I own that coat!! Wore it today. Bought it last year (for $50!!!) in a Canadian discount store (the Runway section of Winners for those Canadians out there!) – there was no label – but i could tell from the feel of the fabric and the lining that it was well made. Amazing that over a year later this thread tells me its Miu Miu. Happy day! This post made my day and I’m thrilled to be in such chic company!

I would disagree with some and say that the guy is rockin’ a little harder than the girl – mainly because I haven’t seen many guys so well dressed and good looking at the same time! But the first picture is magical! Love all the expressions you catch, each picture is personal but also connects with the audience (and of course, has so much style).

The first photo is really natural perfection! I’m laughing though at the people complimenting you on your memory. I’m sure your memory is great, but you’ve recently been going through photos for your book and looking for pairings, so I’m guessing this popped up!! :) Either way, cool pair. At first I thought you were trying to show someone in fashion wearing the same coat two years on…(!) :) and I was going to comment that the rest of us in the real world tend to wear our coats for five years or many more, if they are of good quality!

I wish I could dress like this. It’s so simple, yet sophisticated.

I agree with the comment above… I think that fur bandana is an APORTA creation. Luxurious handmade items.

That fur scarf is by APORTA, handmade form vintage coats, definitely a brand worth checking out. aportashop.com

Stunning coat. Great texture. When you grow up in a warm area, you never really learn to appreciate outerwear (what a shame). This one’s opened my eyes to the possibilities.

I’ll be on the hunt for this one.
