What a great blog! I know everyone agrees, which is why I see links to yours on everybody elses, but somehow I’ve never managed to get myself here. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks.
Without knowing it was Mr Vacca, I saw him last week on Madison avenue with the most amazing dark pinstripes suit I ever saw!!!! He is probably one of the most stylish men on this side of the world. Look at that overcoat!
The green is nice, even if I could never pull it off. But something about the proportions of the coat seems off–maybe it’s the length & its overall bulk; it makes him appear wide & blocky, with his legs poking out spindly below. Nice-looking fabric, though.
not to steal his moment – but i once owned a pair of red bally crocs w/ buckle from the 60′s-70′s. i can attest – colored shoes make you feel confident. this man looks confident. nicely done.
This man is fantastic-looking. The color of the shoes IS interesting, the cut and length of the pants is great, but mostly the contrast between his powerful body and his kind smile are what do it for me. Gorgeous.
I think the color of the pants pull together the green shoes and black coat perfectly- it creates a gorgeous color palette for the outfit that’s not too dark or light…
I too would have preferred to see more of the shirt protruding from the coat, or a scarf perhaps. However, I like the coat and green shoes very much. I just hope he’s not rying to make an environmentalist statement with them. And there’s an idea, perhaps we can get some environemntalist to forego their birkenstock Jesus water walkers for a nice pair of proper green shoes…hmmm

He has a store down here in South Florida. It’s really expensive, but everything is perfect. Everything.
His sport coats are brilliant, and his shoes are like works of art. They are perfect!

There are many pleasures here, not the least of which is the proportion of pants to coat.
Only quibble–the bare neck peeking through the coat; cognitive dissonance, kind of.

What a chic gentleman, Mr. Domenico Vacca. I agree with BUTCH, there is cognitive dissonance on the turned up peak lapels and the opened dress shirt.
