There’s something about seeing an outfit you’d wear on someone else. Some sort of validation, does this makes sense? I love it.

Okay. This works, and for easily apparent reasons.
By comparison, Scott, can you please explain to me/us why the first image of Tuesday, March 6, 2012, On the Street……Full Leg Jeans, Paris is in anyway to be considered “sartorially” worthy?

Wide legged jeans again, looking great, again.
Yesterday these garnered scathing criticism, yet today, everyone loves them.
People catch on fast!
March 8, 2012 at 11:42 am
I hate to reinforce stereotypes, but French women really do seem to have a much deeper understanding of proportion – what looks good on them, how to wear it. I try and try, but it’s just not in me. Do they learn this somehow from a very early age? I’m sure there’s a way for me to wear baggie “boyfriend” jeans and make them work, but I wouldnt have the first idea how to make it happen.
March 8, 2012 at 11:45 am
Elegance is an attitude.
Each piece – very simple
The combination – sophisticated
An air of spring :))))

I miss my time in Paris, everyone is so well dressed in continental Europe!
March 8, 2012 at 12:11 pm
I love the shirt, really nice look
March 8, 2012 at 12:19 pm
Love this combo. Mocs, scarf, print blouse, blazer & hat would normally be too much but it all works just simple “chique”. Again, the French have an innately good sense of style! Check out my blog for other “Chique” tips.
March 8, 2012 at 12:29 pm
How cute is she… Love the bag and the shoes!

great outfit with basics !
March 8, 2012 at 4:36 pm
i used to think that fashion, style, etc …, were just for the vain, but i now see it as a fun and practical means for expressing one’s own personal texture to the world. nice subject, nice photo. she looks interesting. what she’s communicating tells me that she’s someone i’d probably enjoy chatting with. simple as that.

March 8, 2012 at 4:56 pm
Such a cute look! Love it!
Oversized skinny jeans. Whats so great?
March 8, 2012 at 4:57 pm
While this is OK..its still not half as new and pleasant then the jeans shown bellow. This is nice…but its still just oversized skinny jeans.
@KJ The new mom jeans are low waist skinny/boyfriend
March 8, 2012 at 5:04 pm
Does no one see the truth? The new mom jeans are pretty much what this young lady has on. Now this is not a bad thing. Mommies are lovely. But these are just oversized skinny jeans. Isn’t everyone getting a tad tired of this look? Why wouldn’t you want something new? Thsi has been the look for the last thirty years and its not flattering. The waist and crotch being low makes legs look short. This girl has a great figure so she gets away with it, but only a little bit. The jeans Scott sahowed on the 6th are the NEW and more pleasing alternative, and no In DES MOINES ALL WEAR LOW RISE!!
March 8, 2012 at 5:19 pm
Love this, so casual and chic! The blazer, relaxed dark denim and moccasins are fab – plus she looks so happy!
March 8, 2012 at 8:45 pm
cute!smile is beautiful.
March 8, 2012 at 8:52 pm
just imagine how terrible this whole look would’ve been without that red dotted shirt inside the blazer. I would’ve made a big mistake of matching a black shirt or something… great look!!
March 8, 2012 at 9:16 pm
If one is well-grounded in the fundamentals–proportion, scale, color, texture–any outfit is timeless. Now, if one wants to be part of the “in crowd”: That’s why there are trends…and big media– digital or print–as a guide.
March 8, 2012 at 11:28 pm
love the combination of her blazer and shirt. beautiful!
March 9, 2012 at 3:27 am
I live in boyfriend jeans, flats and a great big scarf, just like this!

March 9, 2012 at 6:07 am
I used to hate brown + grey, but since I live in the north of Germany I use more and more this combination in its lighter shades… I don’t know why but now I love it.
March 9, 2012 at 6:22 am
Impeccable!Très sobre, mais bien relevé par le top rouge et blanc.
De nombreux détails importants, comme la manchette et la manche de veste.

March 9, 2012 at 9:43 am
I keep coming back to this picture. It perfectly captures comfortable, casual fashion worn by a lovely, natural girl. She seems to be the embodiment of the perfect BFF. Very nice, Mr. S!

Check out this pic :)
March 9, 2012 at 12:04 pm
I love this pic! this colour combination!
March 9, 2012 at 12:07 pm
Lovely. Effortless. French.
March 9, 2012 at 1:17 pm
As I said before..very pretty…but now that I look at this longer; I absolutely love her smile and her blazer, but not her jeans. Does anyone else feel like they want to tell her to pull up her droopy drawers? How do they even stay up? It can’t be comfortable. Maybe a bit too effortless. Still that wonderful natural smile will make anything work.
March 9, 2012 at 1:20 pm
And do these jeans make her look a bit bow legged??? Still, a lovely, gorgeous girl. I just can’t decide if this look is good.
March 9, 2012 at 3:36 pm
Fantastic shot! I love her style
March 9, 2012 at 5:24 pm
