This guy oooozes cool. Such an art form it is.
April 21, 2007 at 6:48 am
Thousand pardons, Sart, but he looks refined all over.
(But what an odd place to put a monogram!)
April 21, 2007 at 6:50 am
he is sexy. yes with one word: SEXY! whether blue or whatever what he wears-i am sure- will fit him.
April 21, 2007 at 7:54 am
I would have preferred a different shoe, not a fan of those trainers. But apart from that, perfect. And gorgeous!
April 21, 2007 at 7:56 am
It surely helps that he’s good looking too. The shoes are a bit weird though, the sole does not make my plate…
April 21, 2007 at 7:59 am
where is it? i cant seeeeeee!!!! =)
April 21, 2007 at 8:27 am
It’s a nice blue colour on his shirt. I really don’t like the way he has his sweater thou.
April 21, 2007 at 8:28 am
He is so italian!

April 21, 2007 at 8:43 am
I’m trying to…comprehend the shoes. Would appreciate any assistance.
April 21, 2007 at 8:57 am
I’ve never been a monogram guy but recently I began asking my tailor to eliminate his own label and instead put my monogram on the back inside collar of my shirts. I am really happy with the personalized effect.
April 21, 2007 at 9:03 am
Ahhh he was good looking! Except for the shoes, please buy a pair of neat white or beige summershoes instead…classic!
April 21, 2007 at 9:34 am
This man would look incredible in anything.
April 21, 2007 at 10:50 am
the outfit is nice…but that is a gorgeoussss man
April 21, 2007 at 11:02 am
Effortlessly hot (and I get the feeling that he knows it). This is a look that might come off as a little dorky on a lesser man. He pulls it off with ease.
April 21, 2007 at 11:11 am
It doesn’t hurt that he’s gourgeous and has Milan as a sexy backdrop.
April 21, 2007 at 11:29 am
He looks perfect (like the girl above) but only the top half.
April 21, 2007 at 11:31 am
I love Italy ! ;)) The monogram is very very tiny, I can’t see it.
April 21, 2007 at 11:45 am
What a beautiful face and love the hair; with the shoes he clearly doesn’t take himself too seriously, yet overall he’s quite chic.
April 21, 2007 at 12:53 pm
Sporty shoes are best relegated to the gym. They have no place in an ensemble like this.
April 21, 2007 at 1:50 pm
Or just because he’s drop dead gorgeous….!// Swedish girls dream about Italians…
April 21, 2007 at 1:53 pm
wow this guy is seriously genetically gifted. and then add the small touches of what he’s wearing…wow
April 21, 2007 at 2:01 pm
God, he looks amazing! I mean his face, mm-mm-mm!!
April 21, 2007 at 3:07 pm
I hate monograms. It used to be for big italian family, to know whose shirt belong to after it was washed. ’cause back in the days, at least in Italy, pret à porter didn’t exist, so everybody had shirt “su misura”. And the monogram was placed on a lower part than that. The part that was tucked in. Now it’s just so everyone can see it’s “sur mesure”. Or maybe people can’t remember there name.
April 21, 2007 at 3:17 pm
a model? that man has a beautiful face. the shoes and the cigarette are not so good, but who’d notice if you saw that guy walking towards you?
April 21, 2007 at 3:18 pm
Ditto the above post except replace woman/man with man/woman.
April 21, 2007 at 5:09 pm
Do all Italian men look like models? sighhhss…
April 21, 2007 at 5:12 pm
The shoes are killing me. I mean, not in a good way.
April 21, 2007 at 5:14 pm
To an American I can see why this guy looks exciting – and granted, he’s good looking – but the hair, tan, overall look etc. isn’t that unusual in the Med, so if we just see him as a ‘normal’ guy (ignoring the European look) the clothes are really boring: nothing sartorial about those cheap shoes, nor the sweater around the waist.
April 21, 2007 at 5:24 pm
yes, yes, yes….i love the everything…you should have named the picture viamonteperfect instead…
April 21, 2007 at 5:48 pm
UAUUUUUUUU!!!CHE BEL RAGAZZO.BACINI PER TE
April 21, 2007 at 7:12 pm
Love it all- down to his trainers! They appear to be HOGANS…if so, I have a couple pair and they are a dream to wear!
April 21, 2007 at 8:04 pm
Can’t see precisely from the picture, but the shoes could be Hogan and the model is called Interactive. These are extremely popular in Italy, they are not at all sport shoes and cost in the US around $400 in Milan €250.
Concerning the sweater the problem is that in the spring if you are already out in the morning the temperature is quite chilling, but by noon it would be quite hot until late afternoon, so you always have to figure out what to do with sweaters and jackets. The solution is a classic, in the evening there is the on the shoulder version, but I consider it quite nerdy and old fashion.
This way is more casual and unmistakebly Italian.
Overall the look is very typical and I think a good example how people dress in Italy.
The point is that it seems simple, but this is the strenght of Italians sense of fashion. Not really extravagant, but worked out up to the little details.
PS: Italians do have mothers that worry a bit too much so the sweater might be also an effect of that. They would not let you out of the house if you do not take it with you.
April 21, 2007 at 8:21 pm
Honestly, he looked great here. But on a lesser looking man, it would just look untidy.
Sorry, this is where I disagree with you. His gorgeous look distract us all from what he’s wearing.
April 21, 2007 at 9:35 pm
the shoes are hogans.i believe..and this guy can wear houseslippers and get away with it!!che bello…
April 22, 2007 at 1:26 am
Love the seams on the jeans. Great touch.
Not a fan of the shoes, but I echo the others: he could wear a pink parka and still stop traffic.
April 22, 2007 at 1:39 am
yes he is very handsome but what i was really noticing was how slim the leg of his jeans were.
I wear outfits like this all the time but i wish the leg of my Levi’s 501′s were as slim as these and everyone knows my difficult with the APC jeans.
Anyone have a guess on who makes the jeans?
April 22, 2007 at 2:08 am
They look like Diesel to me, if you notice the exterior stitching of his front right pocket.
April 22, 2007 at 10:43 am
I must say a lot of Milanese men look like him, with the same hair, usually pulled back with a head band. My Milanese friends in NY dress like him also, it’s very typical, and when you see it up close, it looks very chic. And their jeans are usually Diesel.
April 22, 2007 at 12:10 pm
I adore every shade of blue – and this guy combines it great!
April 22, 2007 at 1:25 pm
Love the Hogan boots…Nice.
April 22, 2007 at 2:43 pm
It’s all too casual. And I don’t like the jacket around the waist-style.And he should lose that cigarette in his hand!!
But I do like the streets of Milan. ;)
April 22, 2007 at 3:03 pm
As camille remarkable said… ‘This man would look incredible in anything.’
An average Joe wearing this wouldn’t stand a chance of being photographed.
April 22, 2007 at 4:15 pm
Somettimes you really do have a knack for showing true style but this guy is a case of being SO unbearably good-looking that he could be wearing an Uncle Fester frock and still look smashing.
There’s chic and then there’s just plain old pretty.

“Even though this guy is dressed casually he still retains a bit of refinement with the tiny monogram on his shirt’….and the fact that he is SEXY as hell!
April 22, 2007 at 8:40 pm
Sart, your quest for the perfect pair of jeans reminds me of an episode of Will & Grace where Will wore a pair of women’s jeans with the perfect tappered legs.
April 22, 2007 at 9:15 pm
What a gorgeous guy. I think he could carry off just about anything. (Including me!).
April 23, 2007 at 7:29 am
These shoes are not my cup of tea cause, as you may know, this type hogan hid an thick sole to make you look taller and that’s awful. period. beside they’re definetely not a shoe you can use in the gym! they are a weekend shoes for the wannabees not-chic at all.
as for the monogram: I have put then on some shirts also to distinguish them from those of my father when we make the shirtmaker make two samples with the same tissue (in case we both like it). the best place should be a hidden one.

The hogans rock!
Can anyone ID these jeans? I don’t think they’re diesel.
April 23, 2007 at 2:03 pm
This a sexy-looking man! It wouldn’t matter what he wore — or DIDN’T wear — as the case may be.
April 24, 2007 at 1:23 am
I think the shoes and the sweater tied around his waist really let him down. Surely a very sexy man, but worthy of the Sartorialist I’m not sure…
April 25, 2007 at 4:27 am
From what I can see the jeans look very much like my Filippa K jeans or a pair of Acne. They do sell outside Sweden, but I’m not sure if they can be found in Italy./M
April 26, 2007 at 12:31 am
Have you ever tried on a pair of those Hogans! The most comfortable shoe ever!
April 27, 2007 at 1:35 pm
I am totally in love with this man. He is the most gorgeous guy. I hope he’s a supermodel or something, otherwise the world is missing out on some seriously HOT eye candy. His outfit is adorable – relaxed cool, looks very effortless. HOT!
April 27, 2007 at 4:27 pm
in response to the comment that he looks like milanese men in new york: that makes sense. i lived in italy for a year and his style is very typical italian. (and, i think, quite sexy). i can picture him hopping on his moped and then chain smoking cigarettes over aperativos with similarly-dressed guys at a bar with free food at 5pm.
April 28, 2007 at 7:22 pm
In all my years I have never seen a guy that looks sooooo… sexy and the fact he’s in Milan makes him even more tempting. I wonder if his single, I like his contraposto pose and his serious, cool, sexy look he has but he’s got to lose the shoe and the blue shirt is very classic. Overall he looks Perfectoooo!
April 29, 2007 at 12:48 pm
All I could focus on is his hair, then good looks! He could wear anything
April 30, 2007 at 6:17 pm
Okay, seriously, he could be naked for all I care. But yes, he’s very well-presented, I would definitely take him home to the parents.
October 1, 2008 at 11:47 am
He is the reason I will consider quitting my job and moving over seas.
February 11, 2009 at 3:22 pm
Am I the only one who notices the resemblance to James Franco?

THE ITALIAN PERFECTION!!
EVEN THE MODEL OS REALLY HANDSOME!!
November 28, 2015 at 5:22 am
Very Italian very cool, disagree about his looks, put your thumb over his face so you can just see the body without the face and still looks very good, great shirt high collar ads to character of the look
