I rarely like the leggingings under dress/miniskirt look but she looks wonderful. Something about the black in the print itself, maybe that makes this work?
You’ve captured her surrounded by some wonderful greenery, giving both context and compliment to her lovely print dress. But out of this environment she’d be a little too matchy-match, I think.
I’ve always gone for this look, because I have a number of leggings in my closet, but it is really hard to find a good top for them.. and I just love the top/dress on this one..
Dear women of the world, Opaque Black Tights look great with winter clothing; they add weight and warmth. But it’s almost May, the cherry trees are blooming, and the sun is shining ever more. So bury those Opaque Black Tights in the back of your closet, shave those legs, and get thee to a Marc Jacobs store, where the perfect summer dress in shades of lilac, pale green, and polka-dotted coral most certainly await.
Sartorialist, this is to you you are obviously a genius, i know i am so late in posting on this particular dress but the funny thing is that it features in this months vogue london magazine that is the july issue amazing love your work.
Impeccable taste, delicious color combo, what’s not to like? The dress would look as good with semi-opaque tights and ballet flats of a different color to avoid the matchy-matchy thing.

She makes the leggings craze seem not so tacky. And what a great color for the print.

I usually hate this look–but she succeeds in looking comfortable but not frumpy. Great pattern.
I love when I see someone wearing something that I usually hate, but it works on them.

I love this look. It’s classic urban chic at its best.
But I’m surprised to see this in Milan. This is more NYC. Nonetheless, it’s fabulous.

I haven’t seen many women wear leggings in a truely sophisticated manner, but this woman shows it can be done very well. She looks beautiful.

love the dress, but i don’t like the tights/flats with it! takes away from the dress and turns the look into something common rather than unique.
