Now THAT is how to accessorize! What a lovely blend of warm tones in the necklaces, shoes and scarf, playing like a unique melody above the undertone of the classic skirt and top.

yeah baby (and that’s to both of you!)
April 25, 2007 at 7:19 am
Her shoes fit! So often I see women wearing shoes that don’t quite work – too big, too small. These are just right.
April 25, 2007 at 7:34 am
So stylish – love the cropped hair… does anyone know where she got her shoes from?
April 25, 2007 at 8:16 am
LOVE the amber necklaces and everything else about her outfit!
April 25, 2007 at 8:25 am
What an amazing outfit!
From the neck up, quite a masculine look. From the next down, very feminine.
Wearing those 3 amazing necklaces and that massive ring at the same time is stunning – I am so impressed!
April 25, 2007 at 8:39 am
That brown colour palette is fantastic. And the shoes are fabulous! Shoes do maketh the ensemble.
April 25, 2007 at 8:52 am
Wow, she’s magnificent! What an inspiration.
April 25, 2007 at 9:04 am
Wow, just beautiful. She has completely removed herself from the flow of trends and created an entirely unique personal style. The chunky jewelry, the sunglasses, the hair = such attitude!
April 25, 2007 at 9:07 am
She takes my breath away! I hope to be half that cool and stylish when I grow up!
April 25, 2007 at 9:38 am
THAT is how I will look in 30 years, I HOPE.
April 25, 2007 at 10:02 am
Nice to see real women once in while, not just really skinny girls working in fashion (mind you, I haven´t got a clue what this woman´s work is)
April 25, 2007 at 10:13 am
She looks so beautiful and chic. Love her scarve, and the way she worked the colors!
April 25, 2007 at 10:58 am
i want to be like her when i grow up.

That scarf is AMAZING…not so fond of the chunky necklaces though (maybe that’s because I don’t like most jewellery).
April 25, 2007 at 11:17 am
one of my favorite looks. it’s understated, but so perfect. i want to look like her when i grow up.
April 25, 2007 at 11:31 am

To that, I say hurrah!
April 25, 2007 at 12:03 pm
Oh! to live in a city that makes fashion both fun and serious. I wish San Francisco would “celebrate men & women” instead of hipsters. I’m over it.
This woman looks fantastic, as have the majority of the Italians whose pics you’ve posted. It’s no surprise, and always inspiring.

i want to grow old like this
April 25, 2007 at 1:22 pm
isn’t the duomo in florence?
April 25, 2007 at 1:47 pm
Perfect spring outfit that I think any woman of any age can pull off. Love the shoes! Absolutely beautiful!
April 25, 2007 at 1:49 pm
I love her look — she’s beautifully accessorized. Her shoes, pedicure, bag and chunky ring — oh I could go on. Just perfect. Thanks Sart!
April 25, 2007 at 3:41 pm
The shoes, the amber, and oh the handbag, and YES, the scarf! Very nice…..proof the Italain Momma is so elegant!
April 25, 2007 at 3:42 pm
Thank YOU, Sart for celebrating men and WOMEN, not just hipster kids. She is fabulous. I look to your site to keep me on track on how to dress like an adult and celebrate! Of course, I will probably have to move to Milan and shop, LOL, since the US is obessed with teenyboppers, so keep these great photos of fashion-foward, classic, elegant, ADULTS coming!
Love the dress, love the shoes muchomuchomucho, love the bag, but what I love most of all is her ATTITUDE. That cannot be be purchased.
Bravo, once again, my friend! xoxoxox, Your 50+ sexy, confident female fan.

Love the shoes, the scarf, the dress, the jewelries, the color scheme; love everything about the outfit.
I love the way she used different shades of brown to tie it together.
April 25, 2007 at 5:09 pm
I love the amber!
April 25, 2007 at 5:11 pm
I love the lady’s total commitment to the brown and the chunky amber jewels! And the shawl looks great while providing her with options to wrap up if necessary.
Shoes and bag – also great. Not matching, but coordinated in a way that looks deliberate. This is a perfect example of modern accessories updating a timeless look.
My only quibble: why not softer brown tortoise sunglasses to complete the look?
April 25, 2007 at 5:20 pm
Such a graceful way to age, instead of going all American and desperately trying to keep your hair looking like a 25 year old’s with loads of colouring and blow drying.
She’s not trying to hide her age, but with the fresh face, tan and outfit she looks young but not in a fake way.
April 25, 2007 at 5:57 pm
Somehow she makes a fringed pashmina and multiple strands of amber beads NOT look hippy-dippy. Now that’s chic!
April 25, 2007 at 6:02 pm
Classy look. Love amber jewelry!
April 25, 2007 at 8:30 pm
a bit too “loaded” in my eyes…
April 25, 2007 at 8:39 pm
I want to be her when I grow up.
April 25, 2007 at 11:05 pm
those necklaces!!! i want them so badly! lately i’ve been wearing amber jewelry on an almost daily basis… it’s just so warm-weathery to me, and it goes so nicely with neutral colors.this woman is fabulous!
April 26, 2007 at 12:16 am

April 26, 2007 at 4:53 pm
wow she is SO cool! i hope i turn out like that when i get older. She looks so age appropriate, again, yet so zesty. It’s great that you, as well, celebrate looks of all ages and styles. It is truly inspiring, and completely reassuring when i fear (as a 17 year old mind you) that age will take away my spunk. and you prove that wrong!
A Milanese in Melbourne
April 27, 2007 at 8:14 am
That is just sooooo Milan (and Paris) … ageing gracefully and with style! No need to pretend to be 20 with a tattoo and a cropped top exposing a rather unflattering belly. If only more women of that age in Australia had such style and panache
May 13, 2007 at 11:18 am
It’s a very beautiful ring!!!!
WHERE CAN I BUY IT?????
May 14, 2007 at 6:01 am
hy. it’s Duomo in Milan and the shoeus is Sergio Rossi and the jewelry is Marina Poma . I liked too very much.
June 14, 2007 at 12:37 am
I love her Sunglasses, Wayferas are making a serious comeback.
May 3, 2009 at 10:12 pm
Man Italian women know how to look good regardless of their age. Nice job.
January 29, 2012 at 9:13 pm
More of this please. Too many images of the same kind of leggy young model type…gets boring, feels fake.
November 2, 2014 at 7:08 am
Very nice necklaces, beautiful scarf, the shoes make her legs very attractive.
