I’ve always been on the fence about creasing jeans but this suits him perfectly! It wouldn’t have been complete had it not been creased. Ironed denim win!
Such a solid combination of colours – nice balance of dark at the top and at the bottom with the footwear! I always struggle with light coloured pants and dark coloured tops! This has been added to my inspiration folder!
I am wondering, how would you achieve that? So far I don’t think I’ve seen anyone producing a line of jeans like this, at least at Pitti Uomo. Tailored Jeans?
My Dad always used to iron creases into everything when I was growing up. I was the only 10 year old who’d be out cycling in creased jeans! He even ironed ceases into our pyjamas. He had a trick of placing the waxy side of brown paper face down before ironing as the wax would make the crease last longer and made it ultra.crisp.
This gentleman does pull the look off quite well, but I think the fact that the whole “creased denim” thing has been so perverted by the likes of all degenerates living in the Texas/New Mexico area has ruined the look for me. Too tacky.
I love that this man is clearly over a certain age and looking fantastic, but also that nobody cares – all the comments are about his style. As it should be.
I always find it curious that you shoot many style-setting Japanese gentlemen in Italy, but when you come to Tokyo you shoot Harajuku street kids like every other blog. I wish you’d shoot the sartorially inclined here too! Aoyama, Kichijoji, Ginza
